No matter how long it takes! Yes, Mr. President.

Good day, Nerdy darlin’ and TODville. Had the pleasure of seeing Vanessa Kerry on Andrea Mitchell’s program today, and realized she’s John Kerry’s daughter … not surprised she’s doing great things, globally.

    • June 1, 2018 at 1:19 pm

Just happened to see her as well. Lovely to listen to. Another calm and practical voice urging to investment in helping others to rise.

Good afternoon all. Mr. Obama remains a voice of common sense in the wilderness of Trump.

This is one of the reply comments to President Obama’s tweet that Nerdy posted here. I clicked on the “Open Letter of Apology” (from January 2017), and it was well worth reading, if any of y’all are interested. It actually calmed me down and lifted my spirits at the same time. “We’ve got this.”

Joe Biden is starting the second leg of his sold-out American tour at St. Petersburg’s Mahaffey Theater Monday, June 4, and tickets are going fast. Not Paul Simon, Taylor Swift, Beyonce or Justin Timberlake, mind you, but Joe Biden – the 75-year-old former Vice President of the United States. … https://stpetecatalyst.com/former-vice-president-joe-biden-will-speak-in-st-pete-monday-night/

Cohen threatens “What I am going to do to you will be f….ing disgusting”. Yesterday NPR posted a tape 7 minutes long of a phone conversation between Cohen and former Daily Beast reporter Tim Mak. See “Trump’s Stupid Fixer Brings Rape Charges Back In the Public Eye”. (Politicus.usa). So many sexual assault charges against Trump including one by his former wife and the 1994 rape of a 13 year old girl.
Hmm let’s see…how many trips did he make to Russia back then?

YES!!! I’d love to see this happen for our homeless veterans. There is is apparently an uptick of homeless female vets some with children living on our streets. How u be VC? Got any room for us to come live with you in Canada? 😆

    • 47 jacquelineoboomer
      June 1, 2018 at 11:17 pm

So weird the trump crime family’s going to Camp David – apparently Melania wasn’t seen – to include Tiffany. Not sure we’ve heard or seen Tiffany since the inauguration … not that I’ve been looking for her. Just wondering if they’re also off to ponder what to do about Melania. Again, I don’t actually care about any of the family members, unless they’re instead giving Dad the pep talk to get the hell out of the WH, because he’s “failing.” How he acted today with the NK spy guy relating to whether he read or didn’t read the letter, real-time, was truly “not all there.”

Of course, what I just wrote was filled with so many twists and turns, I didn’t appear all there either. Ha! As you can see, trump just annoys the hell out of me!

He is rounding up his crime family foot soldiers to strategize on how to stay out of jail. What they should say and do, and more importantly, not say in the days to come. Also sure that they are planning on how to secure their ill-gotten gains against seizure. This gathering is the mob equivalent of going to the mattresses.
I remember the days when the Obamas gathered there for family and friends celebrations. Then the only speculation was about whether or not any photos would be released so that we could join in the fun vicariously/

Tiffany? Interesting, not much said about her.

Not sure why Eric isn’t there, but assume Barron is with his mother.

These stories always attract the RW racism deniers who love to remind people that Democrats were the KKK, but they always conveniently fail to mention that the KKK shifted to the GOP after the 1964 Civil Rights Act was passed.

I don’t have a Twitter account because I’d spend far too much time putting education out there to counteract the ignorance!

    Good Morning…TOD.
The rain has stopped for the moment….

i have been worried about the primary in Cali…So many DEM folks are running that the DEM vote will be split so much that the GOP could win…i know that folks want to do their own thing..and now some of the so called grassroots groups are fielding their own candidates…Indivisible…OurRevolution… to name a few…….but we need strategy…the goal should be to win…not just run….

how do the Cali folks feel about this

    • June 2, 2018 at 10:03 am

Good morning, Sheila. I feel the same way. I’m very worried about the crowded ballots in these crucial districts. Not much we can do except try to spread the word to all who will listen that they must take a good look at the frontrunners. We have a rare opportunity to take seats in red districts and we can’t blow it like this!!

I was just going over my ballot and reading up on the local measures and state propositions. WHEW. I think I’m ready but it always feels like these issues are so complex and the wording is sometimes intended to confuse. UGH.

      • June 2, 2018 at 10:12 am

I’m rooting for Mike Levin to flip the 49th (Darryl Issa’s seat). He’s a really good guy and he’s gotten some great endorsements (e.g., Adam Schiff, Sierra Club) and he’s surging right now so hopefully that will work out.

I think the real mess is in Rohrbacher’s 48th district. Dems weren’t prepared for Rohrbacher protege Scott Baugh to enter the race. This upsets the whole apple cart in our jungle primary system. And right now Baugh is neck and neck with Democrats Harley Rouda and Hans Keirstead. UGH.

I feel the same way meta, it seems with every election there are literally a thousand propositions to vote on. I try to keep up with what’s on the ballot. Because if its on the ballot then it must be something that I need to pay attention to.

        • June 2, 2018 at 10:16 am

It also really bugs me because we pay our legislators tons of money to run our government and then they pass a lot of it off on to the voters. I’m not saying our voices shouldn’t be heard but the way the system works now, our CA voter pamphlet is the size of the old Sears catalog. I don’t think most people bother reading it or spend time thinking about the issues. And for the most part, I don’t blame them because the issues are very, very complicated.

My brother and I used to sit down every year when we were kids and look through the Sears Christmas catalog, I miss those days. But yes, those pamphlets are the size of phone books and they can be really complicated. Vote yes if you want x and y to happen but not z. Vote no if you don’t want x and y to happen.

    • June 2, 2018 at 10:03 am

If you’re interested in getting way into the weeds on Trump’s life of criminal thuggery, Adam Davidson is the guy to read and listen to. He writes for the New Yorker.

This podcast clarifies much of Trump’s financial idiocy and history of money laundering. It’s very conversational (lots of interruption by Josh and back and forth) but it’s very illuminating.

This historical video on race relations in the 1950s is the most amazing thing I’ve seen in awhile. It exposes what Trump, Trump news and the GOP is attempting to do. To really change the conversation, fearless white people need to take the lead on confronting the source of white fear, rage and violence toward people of color. The sociologist/narrator is just amazing in identifying the REAL issue behind white racism. JUst amazing.
