Whew! Okay I’m here, I was in meetings all morning long. What did I miss?

    • May 17, 2018 at 3:20 pm

      Let’s see………

ICE is labeling a lot of people M-13 gang members to deny them bail and make Cheeto happy.
Sessions put himself personally on the case of a woman who was raped and beaten and now may be deported.
Qatar is bailing our Little Jared and his crap piece of 666 property.
Cheeto is spewing crap about NK, thinking that’s salvaging the talks.
Someone is pitching a show starring Avenatti and Scaramooch fighting with each other. Really.

And lots more……..too much to mention.

Sheila, thank you for mentioning it. This needs to be repeatedly mentioned, especially since Republicans, like Darrell Issa, falsely claimed, over and over again, that the Obama administration was the most corrupt administration in history.

Thank you so much, Sheila, for sharing this. The Hon. Constance Baker Motley is one of the forgotten heroes of NAACP-LDF legal struggle to end Jim Crow. She was actively involved in so many desegregation cases, including the James Meredith case for his admission, as the first African American, at the University of Mississippi.

    Here we go again.

Multiple casualties in shooting at high school outside Houston, officials say; alleged gunman in custody

The shooting occurred at Santa Fe High School in Galveston County. An assistant principal at the Texas school said the alleged gunman had been “arrested and secured.” TV footage showed students walking away from the main school building under the watch of officers.
A police union official said at least one officer was among the injured.

I hope the young people across the country will vote the GOP out and return normalcy to America. Why would the future generations want their kids to have “active shooter drills” and police patrolling the school grounds with guns. Guns do not belong near a learning institution. It just reminds you that the schools are unsafe.

I know meta, the powerlessness students all over the USA must feel that adults just don’t give a damn about their lives. That allowing this to continue over and over and over again must be maddening to them and to their parents. When you live in a predominately white small town or an affluent white community how can you say your kids are safe? These are the kids whose parents who allow them to have access to guns like the fool who showed up with a MAGA hat, a flag, and a gun strapped to his side going to the active murder site. The press had the nerve to interview him. Its all about ratings for the media and money for the GOP & gun manufacturers when this tragedy happens.

  56. May 18, 2018 at 12:51 pm

Trump personally pushed postmaster general to double rates on Amazon, other firms

President Trump personally urged the leader of the U.S. Postal Service to double the rates the agency charges Amazon and other firms for delivery packages in several private conversations in 2017 and 2018.

The Postmaster General, Megan Brennan, responded that the arrangements are bound by contracts and reviewed by an independent commission. She also argued to Trump the arrangements have benefits for the financially beleaguered Postal Service.

Trump has repeatedly accused the Postal Service of subsidizing Amazon, whose chief executive Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post.
