      Thank you, Mr. DeNiro.

Anyone supporting him after all this is either 1) good with his agenda; 2) turning a very willful blind eye to his venal, corrupt nature.

Thanks for this Jer and Legend Nerdy W!!!. Our forever first lady is dropping truth bombs and knowledge left and right. Direct, straight no chaser, no filler. I’m only about half way through but dayum. Her talking about how in college life there is all kinds of affirmative action students on campus, it’s called legacy, it’s called sports, and out in the world, it’s called privilege. It’s only when affirmative action is talked about in terms of color that oh that’s problematic. I had to re-listen to that portion a couple of times; it was deep. Dayum. I ❤ ❤ ❤ our forever first lady.

Thanks for posting. Great interview with her. I hope she wins. Her accomplishments so far are quite impressive (high school valedictorian, magna cum laude Spelman grad, Yale Law Grad, 1st AA woman party leader in GA state assembly and she’s written romance novels on the side involving physics, ethnobotany and a cognitive scientist, who I’m assuming was the heroine. Gurrl!) 😆 I will have to also add her memoir to my reading list. She sounds like another hope and change public servant, you know the guy with the big ears and the funny sounding name? 😆

1 in 5 Americans have joined protests or rallies in past two years, often in reaction to Trump, a Post-Kaiser poll shows

A new Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation poll shows tens of millions of Americans have joined protests and rallies in the past two years. Their participation is often driven by admiration or outrage toward President Trump and offers evidence of new activism that could affect November’s midterm elections.

Twenty percent of Americans report they have participated in political rallies or street protests since the beginning of 2016, and 20 percent of that group said they had never before joined a march or a political gathering.

An important, albeit sad, post from our precious friend Jacqueline:

    A message from Jacqueline O’Boomer
… My dear son Steve passed away on March 29, 2018, in a circle of love from his family ~ after a courageous battle with cancer and its recurrence over these last many months. Yes, I’m “biased,” one might say that, but there was no better son, father, grandfather, or friend, whom any of us had the pleasure of knowing and loving. He was fully prepared to let go of his Earthly battle, and be welcomed into the arms of his soulmate, Jesus. We are all at great peace because he prepared us so well, although we hated to let him go. His five children, two grandsons, and many other young people whom he loved and helped raise in his 49 years, will never forget him or how he inspired all of them toward guaranteeing their own “life well lived.” His family and I donated his body to medical science, via one of the universities in Chicago. I know many in TODville helped me these last few years, both through your prayers and good company. In a couple of weeks, after I rest my heartstrings, I plan to return to TOD (although you may spot me on the anonymous Twitter now, as I find a distraction during the days), to continue paying attention to matters that concern us all. My son kidded me back in ’08, “You love Obama more than you love me!” – not true, President Obama, but I did think of you as my “other son.” And, if you had known my “real son,” you would have wanted to spend time with him, too. Love all of you in TODville, and I’ll “see” you soon!

Monuments like this one are the types that we need in this country that reflect the truth, the good, the bad and the ugly of American history and life. We cannot heal and rebuild if we hide/deny the truth of who we are and what we have done. I will tape it and watch at a later time when I am able to steel myself to get through it.

Meet Benjamin Sparks, Would-Be Slave Owner
    By Josh Marshall | April 5, 2018 6:53 pm

35 year old Benjamin Sparks, a prominent Republican political consultant who has worked for Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and Scott Walker among others, was engaged to an unnamed woman. Sparks had his fiance sign a five page contract in which she agreed to be his “slave and property,” shortly after they started dating last November. This involved kneeling, looking at the ground while she spoke to him, being nude at all time, engaging in sex on demand at any time and wearing a collar. At the end of March he began to demand that she have sex with other men, while bound and blindfolded, while he watched. She refused. That led to a fight in which he allegedly attacked her. Sparks himself then called the police and then fled the scene. He apparently absconded to Texas where he is currently hiding out while there is a warrant for his arrest in Nevada.

Trump to reportedly meet evangelical leaders to discuss Stormy Daniels
Meeting will address concerns on how the midterms will be affected by Trump’s divisive style and alleged affairs, according to sources

Evangelical leaders are planning a meeting with Donald Trump in June following continuing developments in the scandal over his alleged affair with pornographic actor Stormy Daniels, it was reported on Friday.

Four anonymous sources told radio network NPR that the meeting was intended to address concerns about how the midterms might be affected both by the president’s divisive leadership style and his alleged sex scandals.

As well as the claims by Daniels – real name Stephanie Clifford – former Playboy model Karen McDougal has claimed an affair with Trump.

The president on Thursday denied knowing about a $130,000 payment his lawyer, Michael Cohen, made to Daniels to buy her silence.

When asked why Cohen made the payment, Trump said: “You’ll have to ask Michael Cohen. Michael is my attorney. You’ll have to ask Michael.”
