Yes, Thank you Nerdy (congrats df!) I don’t say thanks nearly enough to you for keeping us going. Without you, this site & all the informed folks here I’d feel very isolated. So many thanks to you Nerdy, df and all of TOD. Better days ahead hopefully soon.

Here’s more on that student who gave such an impressive speech at yesterday’s student rally in DC. He’s amazing. I hope we’ll be hearing more from him.

Rachel Maddow looks at the history of the spy who was poisoned by Russia south of London and the strong response from the UK, and even strong statements from Nikki Haley and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, though Donald Trump himself has been wishy-washy.

The CA 1994 earthquake did that on the 10 frwy bridge on La Cienga Blvd in Los Angeles, CA The bridge was around for a long time survived many large earthquakes. This bridge is too long (eight lanes) with NO center holding it up?!! The bridges in Los Angeles ALL have what is called a ” Y ” center and double thick and wide side-walls holding them up. Whoever designed this bridge could not be a very bright engineer. I read on the orange satan site, that it took 6 days to construct this bridge. It was a module bridge put in place a few days ago. The Construction company and the company that put it in place scrubbed their website about this bridge. Someone got a screen shot before it was scrubbed.

WOW, I wonder what happened to the supports?! Usually there is scaffolding and supports until the structure I complete. It had NO supports while they allowed cars and people to use it……big time lawsuits.

What seems weird to me is that those in Trumps administration caught lying or wasting tax payers money can lose their jobs. Yet the person setting the bad example that lies all the time and has much worst crimes in every sector is in charge of firing those under himself while he stays.

Trump is too stupid and too blind to see, but the leadership of the entire Western Hemisphere no longer resides in Washington, D.C. It has moved to Ottawa, Canada. Trump’s words are all lies, and the leaders know it, and he is making a total mockery of international diplomacy. He makes fun of Trudeau because he is good looking and smart, and has experience. There is just no bottom to the depth of my detestation of that man.

Manson was a different kind of commune leader
Pearl Harbor was a different kind of international relations
The Titanic was a different kind of ocean liner
O.J. was a different kind of celebrity
9/11 was a different kind of evacuation drill

    • March 16, 2018 at 10:01 am

Every day it turns my stomach. It’s just deplorable. Most days I have hope but last night I was overwhelmed by the enormity of it, the constant flood of ignorance and insanity. Playing games with our national security, Stormy Daniels BS, Ivanka standing in for Tillerson to meet with the foreign minister, emoluments left and right, complete stupidity and graft from the entire cabinet. I just can’t.

        March 16, 2018 at 10:34 am

Meta, I so agree. These days it’s just so hard to make it through all this crap and know that Congress is doing nothing. Our country is in need of leaders who truly love America. Which means all of us.Thank goodness for TOD and I do see hope in the kids, etc. But when this is over we have so much repair work. I don’t think we can ever totally repair our standing in the world.

        • March 16, 2018 at 10:49 am

Every now and then it really hits me how grave the danger we face. I normally try to be a very positive person but some days it’s just too hard. These are dark days but I will bounce back with conscious effort and the support of everyone who loves our country. We have to PRESS ON.

Before President Obama left office I used to jokingly say that he was the only thing standing between us and total anarchy. Trump isn’t standing between us and anarchy, he is the anarchy.

    • March 16, 2018 at 10:18 am

I firmly believe he’s leaving key positions unfilled and creating a mass exodus so he can move closer to authoritarian rule. He demands the people around him to be his loyal echo chamber.

      • 115 0388jojothecat
        March 16, 2018 at 10:30 am

In my opinion the more he is isolated the easier it will be to impeach him. Only if we have a majority of DEMS in the House and Senate which is a good chance. If Putin messes with our GRID or elections again, or threatens the USA with chemical weapons….game over!

Don, I firmly believed that to be the case, especially during the healthcare and debt ceiling fights.

I will always be pissed that the Dems were not competent enough to see this and unify in the message that the GOP was waiting to unleash all kinds of socioeconomic chaos on Americans were it not for PBO keeping things in check.
