Was going to go to the March for Life in Philadelphia on March 24th, but they announced another March the same day here in South Jersey that’s much closer to me. Going to go to that one.

I saw PBO’s tweet for S. Hawkins. I must have missed the one from the current occupant of the WH.

I’m sure that the current occupant has no idea who Professor Hawking is

So full of pride and sadness for our young people. All over the country, our babies and our young adults are begging for their lives and vowing to do whatever they can to save themselves and the rest of us. I have seen so many creative, smart and original approaches that they are using to get hard-headed, greedy adults in positions of influence to listen to their pleas and their logic. I am also thankful to the adults who have supported their efforts. So heartbroken that all of this is necessary, but uplifted to see the ways in which our children are leading the way.

That child looks sad and cowed. How awful to go to school every day, with everyone knowing your father is a monster.

I went to Early Vote today, and there was a teacher there, with his class, registering the Youth and they voted. Made me feel good 🙂

Illinois folks, remember….the youth only has to be 18 by General Election time in November. They can register and vote at 17. We have same day registration in Illinois.

City of Chicago – has 52 Early Voting Locations
Suburban Cook County- also has 52 Early Voting Locations

Took me less than 15 minutes to vote 🙂

Amazon wasn’t the only reason. I read somewhere that it had to do with the owners and private Equity.

      Why?

      • March 14, 2018 at 7:43 pm

They are from red states and are up for reelection and/or they come from big banking states. I hate it and am sickened by it, but that’s the reason.

          March 14, 2018 at 7:48 pm

Thanks Meta. Though I try to understand the red states bit, it’s a bit sad to me that reps/sens/candidates can’t be honest about their positions. Too much of this is positioning at a time when the country/world is in turmoil.

          • March 14, 2018 at 8:08 pm

OMG, do I hear you. It’s so frustrating. But as I live through this current nightmare presidency, I’m struck by how very conservative and ridiculous half this country is. UGH.

          • March 14, 2018 at 8:23 pm

The other thing to keep in mind is the big picture: the 2018 Senate map is very DAUNTING for Democrats.

The Senate has 51 Republicans and 49 Democrats (including two independents).
There are 35 seats up in 2018 and 26 are held by Democrats.

Dudette, yesterday I received that email from Joe Biden asking us to list candidates in coming elections that we’d like him to support- we could name 5. Anyway, Stacey Abrams was first on my list to VP Joe. I really hope she is your next governor.
