I’m guessing that what’s different this time is the first person witnesses of this horrible tragedy can talk back in great numbers and have organized a solid wall of resistance and now a movement. I hope this adds to our momentum to shut down this death industry.

What humors me is that little Marco thinks his platitudes are gonna quiet the students who see him for the empty shell that he is.

The debate after #Parkland reminds us We The People don’t really like each other very much.We smear those who refuse to agree with us.We claim a Judea-Christian heritage but celebrate arrogance & boasting. & worst of all we have infected the next generation with the same disease

Poor lil’ Marco, making him feel bad about taking all that NRA blood money just because the students don’t like being gunned down at school, theatres, concerts, etc., Why can’t you just take conservative “thoughts and prayers” and suck it up.

GOLDMAN SACHS: There’s an attractive way to profit from the $1.3 trillion student-loan bubble
    Akin Oyedele
    Dec. 9, 2017, 7:05 AM

The $1.3 trillion student-loan market is a “bubble,” Goldman Sachs strategists said in a recent note.
The banks believes the market for asset-backed securities refinanced by private lenders like SoFi “may offer relative value” compared to public student-loan securities.
Asset-backed securities bundle pools of loans with similar risks that investors can profit from when former students make their payments.
Although student loans are in a bubble, Goldman doesn’t see them as a risk to overall financial stability.

The point was made on MSNBC last night…
After yesterday, there doesn’t seem to be a way for

to ALL be working at the White House.
That story last night explicitly saying that 4 countries ADMITTED that they were playing Kushner, because he was weak and vulnerable, makes it clear- HE IS A THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY.

News day inundated with Trump scandals

Rachel Maddow rounds up the overwhelming number of major news stories that broke over the course of the day, including the NSA director’s Senate testimony, the Trump 2020 campaign manager’s ties to a sketchy company, new contacts exposed between Roger Stone and WikiLeaks, and more White House departures.

Kushner eyed over foreign contacts, vulnerability to manipulation

Potential for blackmail an obstacle to Kushner security clearance

Nicolle Wallace, former White House communications director for George W. Bush, talks with Rachel Maddow about why Jared Kushner’s security situation in the Trump White House is not only unusual and politically awkward, but dangerous.

Hotel in Panama fights to shed Trump name citing name’s stigma

Democrats flip seats in N.H., Connecticut special elections

Rachel Maddow reports on three state special elections, two of which, in New Hampshire and Connecticut, were formerly Republican-held and flipped by Democrats, and a third, in Kentucky, that was retained by Republicans but saw a 28 point Democratic swing versus Donald Trump’s 2016 victory in that district.

i read more on the thread…one of the replies referred to Sen Harris as a Black Hillary…Gee…but this is not pushed to blk folks, this is pushed to white so called purity progressives…Blk folks are never the target…this rhetoric is a fight between the 43% of white folks who voted for Both Sec Hillary Clinton and Pres Barack Obama and the purity so-called progressives ….that is who this fight is between….it is almost as if POC are a side thought…

Blk folks don’t have the luxury or privilege to be a purity progressive…..

        So agree with you, Sheila.

When I see the infighting going on the Dem side, it makes me nervous. As a big tent and welcoming party, we have people with a myriad of positions who share the core principles Dems stand for. Therefore, no need to expect that everyone should be a replica of PBO. When we lose ourselves with this purity progressive test, we pave the road for men-CHILDREN to walk in and win.

I would vote for anyone leftist, even for the Supreme Senator from Vermont because, after all, anyone of them is better than a Republican, particularly the Republicans of today’s crop.

Fetch and bring the pop corn.
Hard-right Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel will challenge Sen. Roger Wicker, setting up a Republican primary battle

McDaniel, who nearly toppled a sitting U.S. senator in 2014, said he will run against Wicker, setting the stage for a new and potentially explosive battle between competing wings of the Republican Party.

The announcement at a college in Ellisville, Miss., came hours after President Trump tweeted his support for Wicker’s reelection bid.
Republicans hold a razor-thin 51-49 Senate majority and had hoped to avoid a bitter primary fight.

Yes, let’s arm teachers with guns. What could go wrong?

high school teacher in Georgia who barricaded himself inside a classroom on Wednesday with students locked out in the hallway was arrested after the principal tried to force open the door and the instructor fired a gunshot, police said.

No students were hurt, except for a girl who suffered a minor ankle injury while running in the pandemonium that followed from the lunchtime incident at Dalton High School in Dalton, Georgia, about 90 miles (145 km) north of Atlanta, the state capital, police said.

It’s fortunate that no one was killed or that the injuries were not any worse.
