She will get my vote too, GGAIL. Obviously, in the general election, on Nov. 6, 2018, I will vote for any Democrat who won the primary; but I will not vote for any “holier than thou purity progressive” who is anti Hillary Clinton or anti-President Obama during the primaries. I am sick and tired of their divisiveness, which, in my humble opinion, enabled the election of the majority of Republicans in Congress in 2010, and Donald Trump in 2016.

        • February 26, 2018 at 7:49 am

Unfortunately, California is full of Bernie Bros who are stirring things up and trying to take over the Dem Party here. UGH.
Although DiFi has not always pleased me, I will certainly vote for her in the primary. I detest how she’s being treated by the fringe elements at the convention. KdL has also done some good things on control of ammunition and the environment, but DiFi’s long-standing dedication to banning assault weapons goes way back and I appreciate what she’s doing to counter Grassley’s idiocy on the Judiciary Committee. Those are the issues of great importance to me. She is expected to win the primary but if KdL should succeed, I will of course vote for him.

          • February 26, 2018 at 8:50 am

And she is the Ranking Member….of the Senate Intelligence Committee…and if we were to take back the Senate she would be in charge….this newly elected person would have to go to the back of the line…

Something like this happened in the 2016 Election….the PA DEM committee…did not endorse Hillary Clinton in the primary….and what they thought was a compromise by making no endorsement turned out to be a disaster for the state….and then ultimately for the country….there can be no compromising with the purity left forces…

            • February 26, 2018 at 8:59 am

Kevin de Leon is a legit candidate. He’s been in the Assembly and is now President pro tempore of our Senate.
What the Bernie Bro left are doing to DiFi is not legit. They are trying to divide us using disgusting tactics just like St. Bernie did in 2016. I’m sick and tired of it. What worries me and what I think you’re alluding to is that our Dem convention is fast becoming a body that does not represent the party at large. DiFi has a credible lead in the polls here. Our primary vote is in June. I do think she’ll win.

              • February 26, 2018 at 9:25 am

In my opinion…not enough attention has been paid to how much the Russian influenced the Bernie Sanders campaign to bring down Hillary Clinton..the same Russian propaganda that Bernie used against Hillary in the 2016 primary is being used against Sen Fienstein…..Bernie demonized and criminalized Hillary so much so that many Bernie Bros voted for Jill Stein….and a whopping amount of Sander’s supporters voted for Trump….

I blame the DNC…for not calling our Sanders….i know they were afraid of fracturing the party more among white voters…but it needed to be done ….i worry about where this is all going…

                • February 26, 2018 at 9:42 am

I agree. I know that Bernie plans to run again and Kamala Harris will undoubtedly run. I fear a replay of 2016 tactics as you state in your post even though I know KH is preparing. I backed Perez but am very disappointed and disgusted by what he’s done to our party by inviting the Sanders contingent into the governance arm and legitimizing their purity angst. One of the dumbest moves I’ve ever seen.

Hi! I think facts inoculate us against Russian propaganda bots seeking to divide us. The fact is that Kevin de Leon, President pro tempore of CA Senate, supported and actively campaigned for Hilary (https://www.democracynow.org/2016/6/7/sanders_or_clinton_two_progressive_california). His activist history in support of working people and equal rights is solid–check a basic resume (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_de_Le%C3%B3n). Whether he unseats Feinstein or not, de Leon is a part of the next generation of Democratic leadership.

Florida shooting: School threats spike ‘significantly’

For one small US non-profit group, the murder of 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School came as no surprise.

“We felt like there was something big potentially coming,” said Amy Klinger of the Educators’ School Safety Network.

Her organisation tracks media reports on school threats and incidents. It found a 12% increase in threats to schools between the autumn school semesters of 2016 and 2017, and a 59% rise in violent incidents.

But what has alarmed the group is that they have tracked almost 400 cases since the 14 February attack.

The Ohio-based network has seen up to 65 threats to US schools a day, compared with a daily average of 11 before.

“We always know there’s an uptick after an event like [Florida’s school shooting] – a contagion effect, a copycat effect,” Ms Klinger, who has a 28-year career in education, said. “But this is a significant spike.”

Which lends credence to this being in the works YEARS ago. This was planned out

        • February 26, 2018 at 9:35 am

I do not know how much of this was planned…but i do believe as Ta Nehisi Coates has written…that there would not have been a Donald Trump if there had Not been a Barack Obama…Often times what the media and pundits do not talk about is why was white America so susceptible to the racist propaganda flowing from the Russians and Trump campaign…The Russians used our lack luster voting records…the voter suppression campaign of the GOP….the racism/white supremacy/misogyny that has always been in our country against us…Black folks and other POC…saw thru it…voted for Hillary because our very lives depended on her getting elected….

even now…the virus that is Sanders is allowed to fester…all in the name of saving the white vote….i try not to feel crest fallen by this….

    Perjury trap…LOL

Trump’s lawyers are still considering ways for him to testify before Mueller, provided the questions are limited and don’t focus on specifics where the president might perjure himself. https://t.co/tgUJzaP3VU

    — Rebecca Ballhaus (@rebeccaballhaus) February 25, 2018

Trump’s lawyers keep talking about Trump being interviewed by Mueller as a “perjury trap.” But that’s not an actual thing. It’s like calling a barn filled with hay “an arson trap.” It’s only a “trap” if you’re an arsonist. https://t.co/z3it5fTAud

This is very interesting in that Trump’s lawyers are signify that they don’t want Trump to testify, and that if Trump does indeed testify it was all his idea.

So says BirtherBitch, a former sex worker who became the first ever FHOTUS – First Ho of the United States who violated her VISA conditions and used chain migration to bring her parents here and establish them as permanent residents. She cheated with Trump on his second wife. She lied about having a college degree. She is married to to a thug, a Russian agent, a traitor of the first order. We are all built with a “flight or fight” response when it comes to a perceived danger. Unlike your average citizen, Police Officers have been trained to ignore the “flight” response when it comes to a perceived danger and charge ahead, some can ignore that response and some can’t. I’m not going to sit here and castigate that Police Officer for not running into that school. Maybe that Officer was terrified and didn’t want to run into a “blind” situation, from his point of view at least. It is a burden to walk around with a firearm strapped to your side for a living, but that was the way he chose to make a living. You don’t what your Police Officers to be cowards nor do you want your Police Officers to be RoboCops. For Trump to say what he would have done is pointless and foolish in that when faced with a perceived danger, he wouldn’t know what he would have done. What he should have said was that he doesn’t know what he would have done. Or that he would have “hoped” that he would have run into that school.

With all due respect to Don and to the Office of the President, I don’t attempt to analyze the words of a 5 year old man who speaks before he thinks, and who doesn’t think. To say that he would have run toward the chaos has only one reaction from me: find the next shooting and push him toward it.

        • February 26, 2018 at 2:48 pm

It’s so hideous because he must know that no one believes that ludicrous statement. He’s a 71 year old self-absorbed clown with 5 deferments, a germ and blood phobia, who’s lived his entire life in gated communities and towers surrounded by bodyguards. So this feels more like a part of his schtick where he knows he’s lying, everybody else knows he’s lying, and he finds a deep thrill in knowing that he can lie and get caught in the lie among all the other lies and not ever be punished for it.
