I spent the afternoon today shopping with my Mom and Aunt. This evening I watched The Preacher’s Wife with my brother while we wrapped the kids’ gifts.
We’re having Christmas at my place tomorrow. He left a little while after setting up my garage so all the family dogs can have a play date tomorrow watching Animal Planet and chilling out nearby, but away from family members who have allergies.
A year ago tonight I was in a hospital bed getting the first of many courses of chemo therapy. So many people did the impossible to help me in a million ways large and small. I’m thinking of those people. I’m thinking of those who aren’t with us now and those who are suffering. I can’t begin to articulate all the emotions I’m feeling right now. Except to say that I’m grateful. So very grateful for all the incredible blessings I have received, Crying so much now I can barely see.
Anyway, Thank You Chipsticks for our TOD home. Thank You Nerdy Wonka for keeping the home fires burning. Thank you to all who come here – posters and lurkers alike. I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas. Love and laughter to you and yours.

Except for lurking here, I look online for PBO’s voice and anything else positive. I’ve spent some time catching up on the Obama Foundation. I can’t wait for Prince Harry’s interview with PBO on the 27th. I thoroughly enjoyed the panel with Melody Hobson interview with Prince Harry and he young lady from the UK and young man from Chicago at the Foundation summit in October.
Been reading up on Meghan Markle, too. Found this amazing video of her when she was only 11 taking a stand for women. Also found that she and PBO share the same birthdate.

An Associated Press analysis of new figures from the government found that 7.3 million of the 8.8 million consumers signed up so far for next year come from states Trump won in the 2016 presidential election. Hundreds of people turned out Saturday for a gun buyback program, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported . The city has recorded more than 200 murders this year, the most in two decades, and officials say part of the problem is too many guns.
Those bringing in guns were promised $100 to $200 per weapon, no questions asked. The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, along with individuals and some companies, raised $125,000 in donations
