Well done, Pamela! I feel better knowing President Obama is out in the world presenting the opposite face of American leadership to the current cretin.
Yes, I know exactly what you mean, JF. We all worked too hard, especially PBO, MO, all those closest to them, to sit by and watch the degradation and destruction of all we achieved. With so more to do –
Two men alone in a room. Now one of them is lying about what was said in the room. Which one is lying? James Comey or Donald Trump? Go ahead, America, you decide. https://t.co/jcaXv43Nad
Dear Lawrence O’Donnell:
This is should not just be a question for the American people. Rather, it’s should be a question for the Press—the so called 4th Estate—which has the responsibility of disseminating truthful information to the American people.
what’s wrong with these people? Truly. WTF is WRONG with them???
Chuck Grassley: "“I think not having the estate tax recognizes the people that are investing, as opposed to those that are just spending every darn penny they have, whether it’s on booze or women or movies."https://t.co/gqWnqsvQ5Q
I admit that used to think that wisdom comes with age, but after reading statements from Hatch and Grassley I totally changed my mind. Age has very little to do with wisdom.
Ever notice how the Republicans accuse the Democrats of their own crimes? Deflect off of their own elitist, entitled attitude and cast it onto the opposition. What example could show this better than Grassley’s spending/deserving pronouncement?
It’s all about the turnout. Thank you for the #GOTV hard work you do! It could come down to a handful of votes. Every single one matters! #FBR4Doug#DougJonesForSenate#ALSen
From what I’ve heard, GOTV is absolutely essential next Tuesday.
I simply cannot wrap my head around people who are *more* inclined to vote for Moore with FUBAR’s support — which I heard on the radio yesterday.
These straight-line GOP voters (see FoxfireTX comment below) are simply clueless that by voting for ANY GOPers in this age of #Trumpistan, they’re saying “Yes, take my hard earned tax dollars and place directly into your own pocket, while our children, schools, infrastructure, health, etc., circle the drain.”
This is the price we’re paying for MSM propaganda, for “reporting” on political activities as a horserace, while ignoring the fact that our oligarchs are truly siphoning taxpayer dollars into their own pockets — with zero consequence for their fraud and corruption.
Save this tweet: People will go to prison for this #TaxScamBill. Intermingling with lobbyists & their campaign donors while writing bills in Congress? No way everything is on the up and up. Rest assured, I’m gonna get to the bottom of this.
Looks like Citizen’s United was the beginning of the end to our (human beings) First Amendment rights — they’re now reserved for corporations… next step is to undermine the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Today’s GOP (aka Russians, Koch Brothers and fellow billionaire donors) goal is to dismantle not only BHO’s accomplishments, but to end FDR’s and LBJ’s as well.
(2/4) For example: "After the city of Seattle raised its minimum wage, a business group sued, claiming that paying higher wages would leave them less money to spend on advertising, and thus supposedly violate their First Amendment rights."
(4/4) "increasingly, 'free speech' is sending tentacles into the actual marketplace, not as an instrument of freedom and self-government but as a corporate privilege. The result will, in the end, dilute and reduce the proper purpose of the Amendment…"
“In short, the First Amendment may take another huge step away from being a protection of genuine speech rights and toward being a tool against government regulation.” https://t.co/0xG9V6yx3d
Forgot to mention the relevancy of this case:
“Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, the case of the gay wedding cake, which will be heard by the Supreme Court on December 5. The cake shop, and the baker who is a major shareholder, assert that his religious beliefs should allow him to refuse service—in violation of a state civil-rights statute—to a same-sex couple seeking a custom wedding cake.”
Sounds like he’s going to be a witness to history — (like many others I suspect) I thought this case was an attack on our First Amendment right of freedom of religion (like FUBAR’s “travel [aka Muslim] ban), but instead, the attack is on our most fundamental freedom.
Which brings to mind the “First They Came…” poem — if American’s freedom of speech is superseded by our oil baron oligarchs, then we truly will be living in #Trumpistan. Shudder. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_they_came_…
I hope your son reads this article before viewing the case tomorrow — an important perspective, IMHO.
For those interested, here’s a thread on #BearsEars and #GrandStaircaseEscalante… unfortunately the grotesque evil occupying the WH will once again venture west of the Rocky Mountains (GEOTWH was in Arizona a couple of months ago too 😦 ).
Maps, and as a bonus 😉 a photo of me at Grand Staircase Escalante (took a digital photo of the photograph and had a problem with the glare 😦 — tweet 6 of 6).
(1/8) "Although the county presented the map to Zinke on May 10 at a closed-door meeting, officials have refused to release it, arguing it’s an incomplete draft that could mislead the public." https://t.co/UAf2WQ6WwM
Utah's rural county commissioners don't want the public to know what's on the table for Grand Staircase and Bears Ears reductions. @brianmaffly does. Check out these maps people didn't want you to see. #utpolhttps://t.co/7GxaTTen6C
(2/8) @sltrib has obtained a version of the map from state public lands officials, which offers a glimpse into how Zinke may have arrived at his recommendations (which remain shrouded in secrecy, to the frustration of local businesses and pro-monument groups). pic.twitter.com/nTcITTG3C1
(3/8) @OrrinHatch's office has revealed that Trump will halve the Grand Staircase’s size, leaving between 700K acres and 1.2 million acres in a revised monument (many observers believe Trump will likely peel out roughly 1 million acres of the coal-bearing Kaiparowits Plateau). pic.twitter.com/URPp2S6uAx
(5/8) "Such a prospect has been met with dread by local businesses that rely on visitors drawn to the monument’s desolate scenery and geological formations near Boulder, Tropic, Escalante and Kanab." pic.twitter.com/qLgF6J8aeU
Me (the glare in the upper right is because of glare problem when photographing a photogragh):
(6/8) "But leading monument critics, such as Rep. Mike Noel, R-Kanab, now acknowledge there would be limited chances to mine the Kaiparowits, given the lack of infrastructure to process and move its coal and depressed demand." (Photo of me at Grand Staircase/Escalante.) pic.twitter.com/lIV60Jfd0B
I absolutely LOVE the Four Corners area of our landscape — where uranium and coal deposits have factored so significantly in its history. There’s a sign at one such site that recalls last century’s “Uranium on the cranium” 😦 craze.
Does anyone here know the answer to this question?
I hope no other state follows Alabama’s example next year — but who knows, Kobach and Sessions may make it mandatory… 😦
Does anyone know if Alabama ballots always look like this? Or did the Republicans change the rules to help get their pedophile into the Senate? https://t.co/gvwLA5utHU
I know that in a number of states, including Texas, you can select a straight Dem or Repub ballot option and the machine selects all the Dem or GOP candidates rather than going through each individual candidate. So I don’t think it is unusual.
Thanks for letting me know. Makes voting easier for a lot people — I so hope Dems in Alabama will vote next week. Last week a tweet was posted here re: many unaware of next week’s election. I certainly understand why — in all the years I’ve voted, my county has had only a handful of “special elections” (an election not in an even year), most notably in 2003, when we had to wade through more than 130 candidates for Governor after Gray Davis was recalled.
Wish we could have a recall election to remove the grotesque evil occupying the WH, including every Cabinet member whose only goal is to dismantle the department they’re responsible for, while lining their own pockets at taxpayer expense.
I would think by now that anyone who votes Republicans knows quite well that they’re voting for a pedophile. But Republicans are good at playing dirty games. It’s unbelievable how many of them are supporting a child molester for the Senate.
THERE IS COMFORT IN KNOWING THAT THE ENERGIZER IS ADDING LIGHT TO THE EVER CONSTANT DARKNESS IGNITED BY DONALD TRUMP AND THE CONVICTS WHO INHABIT THE RAT AND ROACH INFESTED WHITE HOUSE…NO LONGER THE PEOPLES’ HOUSE..BUT A DEN FOR DEMONS!
Why does the GOP hate children? Taking away their Healthcare program ..
Here’s to hoping Alabama can help end the prevailing GOP madness by electing a Democrat. I have so much respect for the foot soldiets who never give up, whether it’s knocking on doors or making phone calls etc etc etc … to help elect lawmakers who make a positive change in the lives of people.
Great suggestions. I really hope Democrats make this their priority once they’ve taken over Congress. It’s going to take a lot of work to clean up the mess that Trump will leave behind.
Thanks for posting this, rikyrah. An important observation from Mr. Brownstein:
This tax bill is the coalition of restoration taking aim at the coalition of transformation: in different ways it targets urban residents, blue-states, college & grad students, Millennials-all groups central to the D coalition. It’s an enemies list as much as a revenue bill
Well, of course they do, but that won’t happen…so instead, they plan to punish the blue state voters (you know who you are!) for daring to have a well-run state that prospers….and goes against the wishes of Republicans….even though the “blue states” end up making up what the low taxed red states need…ie, the dirty secret that the red states are truly the welfare states, not blue states. These vindictive people are the shits. They have to be voted out, en masse
Voted out en masse indeed, everyone needs to get in the game. That bullshit about a candidate not being 100% pure is over with, those days are long fucking gone.
Phew, fiiinally, packed off kenyan engineers who are very, very happy with our project’s success. It was a highly risky project involving complex engineering calculations. It was also our furst and a lot, including our company’s future, was riding on its success.

What fun we could have! What say you, Successful Business Mogul ???
Morning everyone. What day of the embarrassing shitshow is this?
This is such a dangerous claim: that the president is above the law. Also one you only need to make if Trump actually did the things he’s accused of. https://t.co/bCp0dIZEtP
Perfect Question for the Press to ask the Speaker and Senate Majority Leader if they believe that the President is immune to the law…if the Law does not apply to the President!!…do any have the courage to do so?? https://t.co/4MLcgLNIhs
Instead of the Press tweeting this…why don’t they ask Ryan and McConnell what they think about this….just think what their response would be if Pres Obama had said this….do the press have the courage to stand up for democracy….they did roll over and attend the press party at the WH even though blk and lgbtq folks were not invited….they are such punks…i guess i answered my own question
Mueller doesn’t believe that Trump is above the law. Neither does Schneiderman, AG for NY. He’s going to learn that he’s not above the law (hopefully quite soon).
Kissinger, was he really in the oval at that time? Every time I see that Lavrov guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks like he knows where all the bodies are buried.
He definitely met with Trump that day but I think it was after Trump had already met with the Russians. But Mueller may want to see if Trump shared any info with him.
FUN FACT: Trump National Security Advisor, K. T. McFarland is said to be cooperatin' with the Mueller investigation. #NoWayOutpic.twitter.com/6m1FJmeiaG
Interesting article in that Papadopoulos told them everything, thus the one single charge of lying to the FBI just like Flynn. I think Mueller already has the goods on Trump, Pence, Don Jr. and Kushner and Sessions.
I think might Pence might be the hardest one to get because he knows his away around Washington. I don’t like he would let himself get caught in a trap with the likes of Don Jr. or Kushner, Pence is vile, not stupid.
You know who I think poses the greatest danger to evil pence? Well, one of our favorite people and person with focus and impaccable integrity – former AG Sally Yates. Pence has been lying about how much he knew or was warned about flynn. AG Yates has the relevant facts about Pence’s role in flynn
Trust me, I understand fully what you’re saying and I hope he indeed goes down. And I hope Sally Yates confirm to Mueller all that she knows about Pence.
So Kushner was essentially working for Israel, Michael Flynn was working for Turkey, Paul Manafort was working for Ukraine, and Trump was working for Russia. But, hey, America First, right?
The thing with this picture is it could be a sign of Trump's historic unpopularity, but it's equally possible that… twitter.com/i/web/status/9…— Schooley (@Rschooley) December 01, 2017

Unfortunately DON the people that vote GOP don’t care. They vote GOP even if they came out and said “There are no tax cuts for working people” (which they have said and shown on several occasions) yet these same baboons who vote GOP actually will sympathize for the plight of the rich over their own families. I just don’t get it. I saw on one of the tax cut debates a trumpanzee say it was not fair to tax the rich more. They do not care about the deficit unless Democrats are in charge.
Lack of education, lack of moral compass and lack of desire to make decisions based on facts, but preferring to let someone else make the decisions directs the GOP voters’ lives. The articles on those that like authoritative government seems to fit the Trump voter narrative.
But it won't be just the poor white folks who vote for Moore…just like it wasn't only poor white folks who vote Trump….#WrongAnalogy… it will be White folks up/down the economic strata who will vote for Moore. Just as they voted for Trump https://t.co/E4UFO0kfu4
the press is still pushing this line that it is only poor uneducated white folks who will vote for more…they cannot accept that it is white folks up and down the white economic ladder who will vote for Moore…just as they did for Trump..

The FBI is in “tatters”? No. The only thing in tatters is the President’s respect for the rule of law. The dedicated men and women of the FBI deserve better.

And it is truly sad that they don’t, it is Stockholm Syndrome. They have become emotionally involved with their captures.
Lack of education, lack of moral compass and lack of desire to make decisions based on facts, but preferring to let someone else make the decisions directs the GOP voters’ lives. The articles on those that like authoritative government seems to fit the Trump voter narrative.
the press is still pushing this line that it is only poor uneducated white folks who will vote for more…they cannot accept that it is white folks up and down the white economic ladder who will vote for Moore…just as they did for Trump..
Booze, Bibles, Guns, and hate. No woman would put living with someone like this.

They will select the #MeToo as the Person/s of the Year. That is my guess.
But if they want to be bold, Collin K. is the Person of the Year in my Opinion.
Please let it be kaepernick, please universe if you make this happen I’ll go on a diet.
I might even join you on that – Ha! – although the Mayor of Puerto Rico was one of my choices, too (not sure if she made the top 10).

I don’t follow McCain. if I did, I too would have unfollowed him too.
Activists are storming members of Congress’ offices to protest the tax bill that the Senate GOP passed this weekend. They claim it will decimate health care and social services for millions of Americans.
Awesome!
Folks need to be in the Streets too.
What these GOPers in DC & across USA are doing is almost irreversible.
