White House readies plan to replace Secretary of State Rex Tillerson with CIA’s Mike Pompeo in next few weeks, two officials say
The White House has prepared a plan to oust embattled Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and replace him with CIA Director Mike Pompeo, who has become one of President Trump’s most loyal and politically savvy members of the national security team, two administration officials confirmed Thursday.
The plan, hatched by White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly, is expected to be set in motion over the next few weeks and has broad support within Trump’s inner circle, the officials said. But it was unclear whether Trump had signed off on the plan yet, and the president has been known to change his mind about personnel and other matters before finalizing decisions with public announcements.
Under the plan, Pompeo could be replaced at the CIA by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), one of Trump’s most reliable defenders and a confidant to some leading members of the administration’s foreign policy team.
Is this the same Tom Cotton that wrote a letter to Iran begging its government not to sign the Iran Nuclear Agreement with President Obama and the other world superpowers?
The whole (Dotard) administration is a departure from all norms, a divorce from established procedures, simply a nightmare. I just don’t know how long we can take it.
Qualifications be damned when it comes to cabinet appointments in this Administration. Too many generals and too many politicians. This entire year has been extremely frustrating.
1. The individual mandate repeal would cause health insurance premiums to rise sharply and millions to lose coverage.
2. The CBO estimates the bill’s automatic spending cuts would slash Medicare by $25B annually.
3. It would blow up the deficit by at least $1.4T, providing Republicans with an evergreen excuse to cut popular New Deal programs. (Lil’ Marco has already admitted this.)
4. It would hurt the poor, the middle class, students, retirees, etc., to give rich parasites like the Trumps, DeVoses, Princes, Kochs, Mercers, et al, billions in tax relief annually. Forever.
5. It will exacerbate the already critical problem of wealth inequality and undercut local blue state governments’ ability to assist their vulnerable populations.
They’d sell their mothers to Lucifer for those tax cuts.

Tens of thousands of people wanted by law enforcement officials have been removed this year from the FBI criminal background check database that prohibits fugitives from justice from buying guns.
The names were taken out after the FBI in February changed its legal interpretation of “fugitive from justice” to say it pertains only to wanted people who have crossed state lines.
What that means is that those fugitives who were previously prohibited under federal law from purchasing firearms can now buy them, unless barred for other reasons.
