I got my Obama book today! I got my Obama book today! I got my Obama book today! My big sister sent it. I screamed and ran around the house when I opened the Amazon box. Then i called her and screamed and cried and thanked her over and over again. She asked me if I opened it yet and I said no. I told her I’ve just been sitting and rocking and hugging it. I told her it’s like getting a big hug from President Obama. My husband who always opens the new books we get offered to open #MyObamaBook and of course I said no. I told him I wanted to just hold it for awhile. I wasn’t quite ready to let it go even for a few minutes. I just keep running my fingers over the embossed part of the title “OBAMA – An Intimate Portrait.” Then I turn it over and stare at one of the most iconic images of 2009. Then I stare at Pete Souza’s name and just get filled with love for what this book means to so many of us. Thank you Pete Souza

Republicans forfeit ANY claim to moral authority when they support and defend this child molester.

Never mind that any thinking person should know that has been a false claim since forever, this just confirms that there is no red line for Republicans if it means trying to preserve their majority status.

During this time, it is easy to correlate stories that may not necessarily be related. Case in point is the speculation I have seen on social media. It focuses on whether there is a possibility that the more than 30 sealed indictments recorded by the DC court have anything to do with Special Counsel Mueller and the Russian collusion investigation. Oh, if only ….

This is how Trump helps destroy the Republican Party – by forcing them to defend and stand by all this depravity, bigotry, and criminality for all to see.

“Who are their wives/girlfriends? Who puts up with these sub-humans?”

IMO, these are women who love their lifestyles soooooo much, they are willing to look the other way and put up with the depraved, inhumane, unethical, immoral behavior of the men in their lives. They want to continue to live in the manner to which they’ve become accustomed. The same reason we continue to find ourselves questioning why some women would vote against their own interests.

Nice to see that the president of the United States is being openly laughed at by Chinese diplomats in Beijing, and apparently our press corps is too stupid to recognize what is happening. Unbelievable. I never thought I’d see the day when a US president could be more embarrassing abroad then GWB but here we are.

Our 44ever president’s legacy, the world over, is being carried by unexpected hands. As long as his vision is out there and doing its intended work, we all win. The Paris accord, the TPP, and engagement in the Pacific and other initiatives will continue because they are good ideas in which no country is left behind, crafted by a man who is brilliant and strategic. When he take the trash out, the name that we will here lifted up in gratitude and inspiration for generations to come will be that of Barack Hussein Obama, 44th POTUS.

The media shit on PBO even as he fought for their rights. When they were overseas with him they asked about stupid state-side shit, often GOP talking points, instead of focusing on the events at hand. They even asked other world leaders about stupid shit in an attempt to embarrass PBO. Now they are acting all butt hurt. They had a champion that they neither deserved nor respected, so f**k them.

And where they disrespected and ignored PBO’s accomplishments in foreign relations, they ignore or softball the Trump disaster to cover for his failures.

They deserve everything they get from the Trump admin.

Well, women who are not the likes of Sarah Palin, Kellyanne, Omarosa, Sarah Hucklebee Sanders, or the 57% white women who voted for #45. Women can be as vile, dangerous, racists, ignorant and complicit as men.

Another generic statement assuming all women are the same. I ran into a woman during the 2008 Presidential General Election thrilled that Sarah Palin was on the GOP ticket because that meant she would be against war especially with her son being in the military. She was ascribing that all women thought alike too.

If Cuban decides to run… as a Democrat… he’s already been tarnished by the Bannon brush. Hopefully, Democrats will have learned some lessons from 2016.

      November 10, 2017 at 9:15 am

What is it with these millionaires and billionaires that make them think that they can somehow run a country? America was not set up to be ran as a business. And the fact that Cuban is in discussions with Steve Bannon of all people tells me everything I need to know about Mark Cuban.

      • November 10, 2017 at 9:21 am

They are like bunch of kids on the playground playing Punchinello:

        “What can you do,
        Punchinello, funny fellow?…

        We can do it, too,
        Punchinello, funny fellow…”

If 45 can be elected President, then of course they think they can as well.

    • 93 Sandy1110
      November 10, 2017 at 1:50 pm

Who gives a flying damn what “Bannon wants”? Anything he wants is NOT good for Dems or the country as a whole. There has to be an angle to benefit the GOP / White Supremacists.

  34. November 10, 2017 at 9:07 am

Can’t let ourselves get too distracted. GOP is just looking for something they can call a “win.” Doesn’t matter what’s in the bill or even if they know what’s in the bill. And they have no qualms about selling it as tax reform that will benefit the middle class when all it is is a tax cut bill that will only benefit the corporations and the rich.

    • November 10, 2017 at 9:11 am

      The working Senate draft would:

*Cut the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 20 percent. But the cut would take effect in 2019, not 2018, as it would in the House bill.

*President Donald Trump supports cutting the corporate rate in 2018.

*Keep seven tax brackets for individual income taxes. The House bill had reduced it to four brackets.

*Lower the top individual tax rate from 39.6 percent to 38.6 percent.

*Nearly double the standard deduction for individual taxpayers, as the House bill does.

*Repeal the alternative minimum tax, which increases taxes for certain affluent or upper-middle-class households, as the House bill did.

*Doubles the exemption for estate taxes, up to more than $10 million, but does not fully repeal the tax on inheritances as the House bill eventually would.

*Fully repeal the deduction for state and local taxes. The House bill would have kept a deduction for property, but not income, taxes.

*Keep the cap for home mortgage deductions at $1 million. The House bill lowered the cap to $500,000.

*Keep the adoption tax credit, which the House bill originally eliminated but later restored.

*Keep the medical expense deduction, which the House bill eliminated.

*Expand the child tax credit and creates a more refundable tax credit than the House bill did.

*Instead of having companies “depreciate” investments by deducting them over several years, companies would be able immediately expense all their investments.

      • November 10, 2017 at 9:12 am

        What we don’t know:

But major features of the Senate bill remain opaque.

*We don’t know how much Republicans will adjust the income ranges in these seven tax brackets, though they do promise a “reformed rate structure.”

*The Senate will be changing the House’s 70/30 rule for pass-through businesses, owner-operated businesses whose profits are taxed as individual income, according to Sen. Rob Portman — but it’s not clear how. Under the House bill, pass-throughs can choose to have 70 percent of their income taxed at the top individual rate and 30 percent taxed under the new 25 percent small business rate.

*Nor do we know how much will it increase the federal deficit. Under the Senate’s budget rules, the legislation can only increase the deficit by $1.5 trillion over 10 years and can’t increase the deficit at all after that. Delaying the corporate tax cut and fully repealing SALT, will definitely give the Senate more wiggle room to retain or boost other deductions and credits.
