Sept 9th Mexico had a 8.1 earthquake so this would be considered an aftershock probably……

I think the epicenter of today’s quake (on the 30th anniversary of a big quake in Mexico — haven’t had a chance to look that one up, but radio tells me that Mexico City had earthquake drills as part of the anniversary observance) is too far away to be an aftershock of the Sep 7th earthquake, which was offshore and hundreds of miles from Mexico City. Today’s quake was within 80 miles of Mexico City.
There were foreshocks before the 8.1 earthquake on Sep 7.

Gas leaks are a dangerous component of earthquakes — co-workers who lived near the 1994 earthquake (which happened in the dark, at 4:30 am in January) told me that it was like daylight at their homes because a major north-south road, Balboa Boulevard was essentially on fire because of broken gas lines. They also said it felt like two earthquakes because freeway overpasses collapsed after the earthquake had stopped. đŚ

There are many things that are cause for concern in Trumpâs speech to the United Nations General Assembly today. But it is important to keep in mind that it was primarily written by white nationalist Stephen Miller, who included major dog whistles to white supremacists.
The primary vehicle Miller used to do that is through the words âsovereignâ or âsovereignty,â which Trump used at least 25 times. For example:
There is nothing inherently nefarious about the word sovereign, but itâs use in this country has been particularly tied to white supremacy for decades.
