President Trump: If North Korea makes any more threats to the U.S., "they will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen" pic.twitter.com/8dQed79L1W
This man is a fucking fool; time to forget about conventional ways of getting a president out of office; he is a “clear and present danger” to this country and the world. We cannot allow the deaths off millions at the hands of one vain, ignorant, petty criminal. The world will damn us for generations.
Should I laugh at this ridiculous threat or should I cry that this is what we’ve come to. Trump is not a military man. Why is he making threats with his mouth that our military probably is not prepared to meet because they’re ridiculous and dangerous threats?
This is what we can expect when it comes to foreign relations. Good grief!
Tuesday, Hot and Dull in my neck of the woods. Hello Sunshine; These TODbots are the Best š

Republicans in disarray. They have no idea how the hell to govern. They now control the entire Congress and are about to tank our economy. What a mess.
My mom, African American born in 1929, loved anything and everything cowboy even songs about cowboys. So I can remember sitting on the floor in the 70’s, not really aware of much at that age and Glenn Campbell was on television and my mom, a gospel, jazz singer who was once asked by Nat King Cole to go on the road with him, standing in the door way and tapping her foot and mouthing the words to Rhinestone Cowboy.
We've seen this fire & fury before Hiroshima & Nagasaki. Trumps use of nuke war rethoric is irresponsible & disqualifying fm presidency. https://t.co/kSvAhfxzbL
Why did Trump threaten NK with fury "the likes of which the world has never seen"? As @DLind notes, he'd just used that phrase re opioids: pic.twitter.com/LAmXyUbfOh
Based on the CNN article, it sounds like Canada is trying to secure the release of one of their citizens from North Korea, a man who has been detained for 2 1/2 years.
Like the US, Canada doesn’t have a diplomatic relationship with North Korea, and negotiations between the two countries are typically handled by Sweden.
Sounds completely unrelated to FUBAR’s outburst, as is North Korea’s threatening to bomb Guam.
The Wednesday AM (Korea time) KPA comment appears to have been written prior to the @POTUS "fire and fury" warning. https://t.co/OBmIL6QjAg
Today, I am not going to let two nuclear-armed maniacs to do more damage to my already very fragile state of mind. Punks deserve each other. How is the politics of tax cuts, all-about-me enrichment, and hate of “the other” working out for you who voted for the homegrown demagogue. The push for more wealth can’t save republicans from the maniacs’ self-aggrandizing war
I'm reporting in a SE DC neighborhood. My photog, Matt, takes time to show these little kids his news camera. They're fascinated. #GoodKidspic.twitter.com/aNQ5cdlzZI
I’m skipping that and the entire shit show for awhile to dance it out to old school Johnny Gill. Reminds me of a time when my biggest worry was whether or not to give it up to the current maybe boyfriend. Peace out.
Ain’t gonna be no ‘banging the shoe on the table’ amk …. this situation is TOTALLY different …. we now face the likely probability that Homo sapiens’ exceptional skill of driving other species to extinction will terminate by self-extinction of our species.
Hi LDS,
Glad you made it. Looks like most TOD’ers have headed to bed or dinner. Me, I’m eating dinner as I type this, so going to say TTFN. Just wanted to let you know you were seen. Hugs.
here is an update on an issue that was previously raised and discussed on TOD :
;
Kenya elections:
…………………….reports of provisional results indicate that the current president, Uhuru Kenyatta has won the election.
;
……………………..now let us watch and continue hoping that there is no post-election violence and that any contentions are handled within the legal framework;
;
South Africa:
…………………….today, Tuesday, President Jacob Zuma of South Africa, and head of the African National Confidence, survived a no-confidence motion against him.
;
………………….. it was the 8th(?) no-confidence vote in parliament but this was the first time it involved a secret ballot;
that is the state of affairs in these two countries
Jaysus! So, watching Lawrence & one thing saving us from The Idiot is military refusing to take his orders. I need meds, hopefully a lovely glass of wine or Antigua rum straight up! Damn! šš·š°
I have requested that all my family members and our very friends do everything possible to be as close to each other as possible irrespective of jobs, other commitments, etc …..
Darn, Bobfr, I seem to be reliving my young years, when fear was everyday because of effing dick-tator. Am so not going their again, that journey of fear ended when I came to US & I’ll be damned if I do not fight hard against reliving that horror. There are a lot of us, here in the US, who adopted this country, out of the horrors, & will end up saving America from it’s worst self. We have been there, America doesn’t have to drag itself backwards into an impossibly degenerate journey.
Good evening TOD! Well, while I am not happy, I am not feeling as tense as many. Contrary to the image portrayed, I actually think Kim Jung Un is the rational actor in all of this. He’s been pushing since January to test this administration and he now knows what he is dealing with. But he is not going to start a nuclear war because he is smart enough to know that the US would bomb their entire country out of existence. What a sad state of affairs when you think the crazy leader of the NK is more rational than our president. Several seasoned diplomats have also pointed out that his statements seem to leave room for negotiation. The biggest problem is that there is no one as far as I can tell in this current administration who has any idea of how to negotiate with him. There simply are no skilled diplomats in this administration. Just praying that Canada, Japan, Germany or some other nation steps up to fill the diplomatic void left by the US.
The saddest thing about all of this is everything was in place after the Iran deal to turn the same force to North Korea with the addition of Japan and South Korea. The diplomats had a model for making it work. But of course, because it came to fruition on President Obama’s watch, this administration and the GOP just want to tear it down. I’d bet a significant amount of money that a whole lot of those Republicans who fought PBO on the Iran deal are grateful for it tonight, albeit secretly. Funny how McCain is now counseling to avoid confrontation. I despise this party. But there is no doubt we are in for some troubling times in the coming months. It will be interesting to see just where the floor is for DT.
Foxfire, thanks for your take on this. I’ve also seen members of GOP lust for power despite all sense. I think Idiot’s tweets of my-wee-penis-is-bigger-than-yours isn’t happening on the world stage, let alone here. We The People are not into that BS & need to shout louder, not be complacent in our belief that the so-called adults in the room will make the country first decisions. Just my penny in the thought basket of thoughts.

I used to believe that only mad-men would threaten nuclear war.
I still do.
Shabammmm
This guy actually believes that Mueller is going to fall for this type of fuckery..
I believe it’s called ‘sucking up’
Sounds inappropriate to contact someone who is investigating you like that but that’s what you expect from Trump.
I tell ya, first my dolphins signed that bum Jay Cutler and now Trump is going to the nuclear mattresses. This hasn’t been a good week at all.
It’s Only Tuesday š¦
Yep, at this point we are day to day.
No This is very very bad.
A reminder that the founder, Erik Prince, is Betsy DeVos’ brother.
It’s all a bunch of nepotistic quid pro quo and grift.
That’s a “bold plan”? It’s a dangerous plan. Blackwater was heavily involved in the Iraq war and look how that turned out.
That entire statement of his makes no sense! His “thinking” is truly messed up as evidenced by what he says. scary
Bless you, PM Justin Trudeau. šš»ā¤ļø
