But the view, the exhilaration, the astonished sense of awe as we step to the highest point makes all the agony disappear! Had to run out to see Al Gore’s new movie An Inconvenient Sequel: Turth to Power. A bit depressing at times, but also lots of good news. And lots of footage on the Paris Climate Accords and views of our dear POTUS and all his buddies like Trudeau, Modi, etc. The movie ends in June of this year, so very current info in it. Course I’m talking to empty bleachers since everyone has moved on to the next post. Sigh.

This summ has been wonderful for me. I am getting to spend 4 days a week camping by a beautiful MT river with no cell service. I I download TOD then read but can’t respond. Lots of reading and enjoying nature. Now back home for a week and we are dealing with smoke from all the fires surrounding us. There are at least 10 fires within 100 miles of Missoula. We also have smoke from fires in Canada. But there is no climate change. Also in the last 2 weeks 2 firefighters have lost their lives.
Thank you all for Resisting. We will not let them ruin America. PBO has taught us to never give up.

So sorry to hear about the firefighters — IMHO, these public servants are the most courageous that this country has.
Long ago I read that firefighters have the shortest life-expectancy of any career — notably because of the toxins in the air they breathe. And their work in fighting wildfires is among the most grueling on earth — digging firelines, cutting brush and grasses in searing temperatures, etc.
Bless those firefighters lost recently, and all of these amazing people.
