Amen to ALL THIS! The women were there, taking the votes from the start of all this! I will call them and thank them both today. The people of AK and Maine should be very proud.

Morning everyone. Feel like I can breathe for the first time in a long time:)

Congrats on first Don. I woke up in time to follow the vote. Thank you thank you to all who made those calls and hit the streets. We can take a day of victory then back to the phones to make sure they don’t sabotage the ACA anymor. We have to keep up the pressure. They want to pass their whole agenda to wipe out PBO. We won’t allow this to happen. Now back to work.

Many of the same people fighting to KEEP their Ocare were fighting NOT to have the opportunity for the first time to see a doctor instead of emergency room or 3rd world Doctors w/o Boarders-Care, their children staying on their insurance until 26yrs old, $ limited care, pre-existing conditions, worker mandated insurance, and all mandated to get insurance to spread the cost. It saved the lives of people who grumbled about Ocare and those that decided to be penalized and got sick went to GoFundMe accounts because they were too racist to care about their own health.

The choice cannot be more clear.
They are on the record for plans that were horrific and would inflict harm upon MILLIONS.
NOW, they need to be nailed to the votes. Make them stick like superglue. It should be in every ad against them for 2018.
The GOP tried to harm you and your family.
    The Democrats didn’t.

Our hero and our blessing; he is truly twice-named: “Blessed” and “He Who Cares for People Throughout the Land” (translation of his Crow adoption name). Our leader who showed us the way by word and dead, everyday of his public service and personal example. The crowd outside of the Capitol chanted, “Yes, we can!” when news of the defeat of that horrendous bill reached them. We know that the battle has just begun and that there are many more crimes being committed against us that we must end, but we thank God for this moment when the work and goodwill of hundreds of thousands brought this outcome.

The president is attempting to dismantle the rule of law, destroy the time-honored independence of the Justice Department, and undermine the career men and women who are devoted to seeking justice day in and day out, regardless of which political party is in power.

If we are not careful, when we wake up from the Trump presidency, our justice system may be broken beyond recognition.

Over the past few days, many people from both parties have rightly expressed their dismay at how President Trump has publicly lambasted the attorney general, noting the president’s lack of loyalty to a man who has been consistently loyal to him.

Good early afternoon TODers. I went to sleep last night long before the vote, telling myself I would deal with whatever happened. When I opened my email this morning, the first letter I saw was from Sen. Debbie Stabenow with the lede Obamacare saved. what a great way to start the day. Then, I got to read the entire story…So relieved.
I have a couple of thoughts…..1. President Obama forever changed the conversation about healthcare in this country. NOW, people have learned to consider it a right, not a privilege for the few. This is a big sea change. 2. If this had passed, they were coming for Medicare too…that was also scary. 3. The curtain has been completely pulled away from the Great Oz. His threats did not move Sen. Murkowski, and people now see that his bluster has no substance. He has lost whatever leverage or power he ever had, which was only paper, anyway.
Pure speculation, but I think that trump is going to try to find a way out of the presidency, as he is not a winner, and even his pitiful little brain can see that. No one is with him, not even the majority of Republicans. I have a feeling he’ll want out before he is indicted for election fraud or worse. He will bring the whole house of cards down with him.
Today is a good day. Also, congress is going on recess, and djt is leaving August 3 for a vacation from his six month vacation. Rallies will not save him.
