    I suggest calling the Governor’s Office in your state. Especially if you live in a red state, that expanded Medicaid…..like mine. These governors have a responsibility to the people of their states. They need to pressure their US Senators to vote NO! The damage to people in their states that they are sworn to serve and protect, will be incalculable.

    Why doesn’t someone just interview whoever was on staff to serve drinks & hors d’oeuvres? I bet they can tell us who was there and what was said.

      Last count I saw was six…the original 4 plus 2 more, only one of which had been identified. So there’s ANOTHER two that were in the meeting?!?!?!? Makes me wonder if the meeting *really* only lasted 20 minutes, and what was *really* discussed. Kushner *supposedly* left the room after about 10 minutes. Did he exit alone, or were there others that left with him???

    Hey y’all. Around 4:00, I was scrolling through Twitter, occasionally clicking on replies and scrolling through them. Suddenly, I get locked out again. Had to verify my phone number……said I would get a call with a code to get back in. Took two calls. First one said missed even though I had my phone in my hand. Code was repeated 3 or 4 times. I typed it in and viola……..got back in. What is happening?!?! I’m new at this Twitter thingy. 🙂

      GE TMG.

      Go up three comments, see what DF posted (also see previous thread).

      Have mentioned before that I’m all thumbs when it comes to tech, but it sounds like some malbots tried to mass upload a malware app(s) onto Twitter users’ profiles, so it looks like anyone who uses Twitter has to change their password today (and/or last night) — have seen tweets from people who said they had to reset password twice or three times. 😦

      So it’s not you, it’s apparently a bot attack on Twitter. 😦

      • July 14, 2017 at 7:53 pm

        I’m not sure. I think they really needed their own space with top secret secure facilities to investigate highly sensitive matters on an ongoing basis.

        • July 14, 2017 at 7:59 pm

          yes i know they do…but i would think that the DOJ has that kind of space…but i will say..that i am glad that they are in a separate space…i just hope we get a conclusion soon…
          i would also be curious if it is revealed that trump and his people are criminals ..i wonder who will deliver the Justice…the DOJ…The FBI….Congress?….or will it all fall on deaf ears

    GE TODville.

    Don’t recall hearing about this unbelievable incident, which occurred before FUBAR, who is doing his best to establish #jackbooted thugocracy here.

    From the article:

    “…the massive police response the night of May 23, 2013 for a misdemeanor, domestic-violence offense. Two armored vehicles and at least 27 officers responded, including the Pierce Metro SWAT team.”

    snip /

    “Moreover, [attorney] Cartwright told the jury the situation was ‘that close’ to resolving peacefully when Zaro, who was assistant chief at the time, ordered an assault team to breach the back of the home using plastic explosives to blow down a door. They also shot the family dog five times.”

    This happened in the jurisdiction of the Lakewood, Washington police department.

        Yes, I wasn’t focused on the award amount, but the *tactics* used by the Lakewood PD. The legal assault on citizens by our police was out of hand before FUBAR, shudder to think how this assault will escalate in the future. #GetFUBARoutOfWhiteHouseNowAndTakePenceWithHim.

    A Critical Message

    To: All U.S. Federal Civil Servants, Armed Forces Leadership and Servicemembers, the U.S. Congress, the Federal Judiciary, all 50 State Governments and Judiciaries and all American Citizens

    It is now clear that the current President was not duly elected. The election was subverted and he does not represent THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. At this time the White House is a criminal enterprise. Be vigilant. Question all unwise orders. Refuse all illegal orders. Prepare for peaceful removal and installation of a legitimate president.

    Coming up for air, as I study the voters pamphlet, simply MUST share an excerpt from one of the 21 candidates for Mayor:
    “I, A.H, speak to you Seattle emerald degenerate super smart freaking idiot, who bring Seattle to number ONE fascist city in America with Nazi-socialist-Gestapo principle. That always chooses dirty garbage rats that drink from fat cat toilet and who make your life miserable and brought us to total collapse. Enough is enough it cannot go forever.” 🙀😳
    I kid you not, TOD, this is going to be quite a task! Luckily, there are a number of intelligent and capable women, one of whom is my district rep.

      Mark Zumbühl, a member of the Pro Infirmis Executive Board, explained why this project is so important for shaping society’s perception. He said, “We often go chasing after ideals instead of accepting life in all its diversity. We strive especially for the acceptance.” These mannequins will hopefully help us all understand that regardless of outside appearance we are all the same on the inside! Take a peek at their incredible project for yourself by pressing “play” on the video below.

He better get an Oscar nomination. I mean seriously, every moment I just kept thinking, okay but what’s Caesar’s doing, thinking, feeling. Also Karin Karnoval as Maurice stole my heart.

    Turning lemons into lemonade…

    Purdue student Sarah Cummins, 25, and her fiance. Logan Araujo, had a wedding planned at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana with a budget of $30,000 to cover the whole thing. After canceling the wedding — for unspecified reasons — Cummins was unable to get her deposit back.

    According to Cummins, she has arranged for buses to picks up homeless families at local shelter for the dinner this weekend, where the attendees will dine on bourbon-glazed meatballs, goat cheese and roasted garlic bruschetta, chicken breast with artichokes and Chardonnay cream. And, wedding cake, of course.

    “I will at least have some kind of happy memory to pull from. I’ve worked so many weekends and so much overtime to pay for this, I wanted to make sure it would be the perfect wedding,”

    Cummins’ fiance approved of her plan, saying, “she was able to make a selfless and very thoughtful decision in such a hard time.”

    yes, I am cynical about putting my life in the hands of republicans;

    no doubt in my mind that the evil republicans are going to push through trumpcare unless ordinary people get more determined and push back about and clarify that this is wealth transfer and death care combined.

    if a republican is not saying NO to trumpcare now, it is because they are bribed ideological cowards that are looking for political cover to vote yes.

    once evil turtle provides that political cover, then these “moderate republicans” will vote yes and then get in front of cameras and blatantly lie and they will receive campaign funds from their corrupt, greedy, evil, and ideological ultra-rich supporters.

    my senator, portman is one of these scumbags who pretends to be a “moderate republican”; I have called his office and mobilized others to voice their opposition to his highly probable yes vote for trumpcare. I will continue participating in local resistance but I am not under any illusion that he is more likely to do the right thing for his constituents.

    but, I will persist in the resistance;

    rural voters who need Obamacare doomed themselves when they used bigotry and “hate of the other” to vote in these people who were NEVER going to help them personally. I have to look at, deal with, and live among these people but “lordy”, I can’t tell what it feels like.

    i have watched a clip of Fox’s Shephard Smith about the lie after lie of Team Treason.

    of course the rightwinger’s reaction is not to attack the people telling the lies but rather they go after Shep Smith for pointing out the obvious lies ;

    that twisted reaction, my friends, is the reason why you have to know that these rightwingers see, hear and approve all that is happening and that they are not likely to change their attitude.

    no need to waste resources on trying to get their vote because it will not happen.

    my bet is that even when see arrests of Team Treason members being made, a good number of these people will attack the arresting officers rather than the criminals;

    gcl, As you know, I’m right there with you living in a ‘red’ area. It is SO difficult! Occasionally–because I cannot bite my tongue a second longer–I make a comment in regards to something we hear on the news. My R husband NEVER says ONE WORD!!! Yes, he voted for T even though I know he was very upset with him as the R nominee. He said untold number of times, “I can’t believe these are the two people we have running.” He’s one of those R that is going to vote for the R, regardless and especially if his other choice is HRC. I said here many times that if Joe Biden had been the D against T, I do believe he would have voted for him. 😦 I see T/P stickers every day/every where. Know they’re all around me and I go to church with many of them. It is SO difficult!!!!!! Will this EVER end?
