GM everyone. As I said last time, this picture is truly soul-saving. Offers sanity and peace and helps remind what we once were and what we will be again. Difficult to believe sometimes, but we have to. PO expects us to move forward>>>>>>>> Blessed day to all. Hosting our Life Group tomorrow night so today I’m into cooking and preparing.

    Good morning, TOD!

Love the picture of President Obama with the baby in Alaska.

    • July 8, 2017 at 12:07 pm

I just love that hat on that cute little baby. Look at her eyes, she will treasure this picture one day. That is if she doesn’t grow up to be a conservative.

I believe that I’m going to go out today and buy some flowers to plant. I need some lovely things …

    • July 8, 2017 at 11:02 am

Morning DF. It’s too hot for flowers. I have been so distressed over this so called President, the repugnants, healthcare, Putin and the idiot Christian Right that I have worked my fingers to the bone cleaning, scrubbing floors walls and baseboards, and polishing all my cabinets. I am exhausted but it has kept me partially sane. It doesn’t seem to matter that Flake and McCain hears from all of us, it’s all about the party and their perks for voting along party lines. Makes me sick.

šŸ™‚ I can love my succulents:) My house is clean…I could stand to take the Bissell to the chairs….It’s a constructive way to channel that energy that makes me want to punch someone….I know. We will get through this…..I hope.

I call McCain and Flake daily…send emails. I did have a question about the reason why those protesters got arrested at Flake’s office…the police said they were on private property….that confused me. I believe that WE pay for those offices of our reps…with our tax dollars, so how is that “private property”?? Do you know?

The road is long….but we can make it thru…if we stay determined…once again i think of the long nights of the freedom fighters….i know that that they were not sure if they would ever see light….but still they were determined…because to give up meant death…this is the struggle of oppressed peoples…they cannot give up…even when i feel the edges of despair on my psyche…i think of the men and women who had courage and how they kept moving forward….

Forward…President Obama said that the end of the world is the end of the world…

I wish there was a way that ordinary people could send our encouragement and pleas directly to Special Counsel Mueller and his team of investigators.

My most urgent request would be to do their work fast and accurately so that the extent of corruption and destruction could at least stop.

then we can continue to mobilize and organize such ordinary people can do the rest at the ballot box.

    through our vote, we can cleanup all these collaborators and enablers of this corruption and destruction;

Thanks, GGail — so wanted to complain about the heat, but I know that whining is tiresome…

Radio tells me it was 117F yesterday in Phoenix (sorry, DF 😦 ) — and climate change is turning SoCal into Coastal Phoenix. 😦

As lifelong SoCalifornian, I expect, tolerate the God-awful heat of August and September, but climate change is making 2 months of unbearable heat into 4 (July-Oct), with a few heat waves added to Jan-Jun. 😦

I move my plants to the shade when it’s hot, but even so, except for the succulents, they really can’t tolerate successive days of 100F weather. 😦

    PUTIN to press:
ā€œThere was no basis to believe that Russiaā€ interfered in the elections. And “I feel as though my answers satisfied him (Trump).”
–Seems Putin and Trumputin colluded on U.S. Election interference and NOW AGAIN on the cover-up.

  27. July 8, 2017 at 4:03 pm

Don’t let Putin and Trump REWRITE the gross attack on this nation: “Vladimir Putin hired Russian hackers to help elect Donald Trump.”
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/putin-russia-hacking-us-election-trump-hillary-clinton-report-a7805541.html
—Thanks to Putin Junior, his mafia boss Putin now has a ‘credible’ western news platform upon which to LIE that he doesn’t have at home,
where he controls Russia’s news. Does Putin think we’ve forgotten how he made a show of FIRING people over the hacking?

When we post these kinds of hair on fire, we should also post positive comments/reinforcements to push back and reassure that this WILL NOT HAPPEN ON OUR WATCH.

I know I will and so will OFA do all we can to reduce cynical hysteria from crippling our election process.

        Hi again, GGail.

Just heard this on the radio, but could only find one tweet that links to the AP article:

        From the AP article:
“California Secretary of State Alex Padilla said Saturday that it’s ‘awkward, to put it mildly’ that Kobach opted against attending the National Association of Secretaries of State conference in Indianapolis this weekend.”

        snip /

“Padilla, a Democrat, said that if Kobach was serious about working with states to improve the integrity of U.S. elections, he would have attended the conference.

A spokeswoman for Kobach did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”

P.S. My outdoor thermometer says 103.2F now. Too hot to tend to my patio plants. 😦

          Thanks arapaho,

I just think that this, along with a lot of what trump does and says is designed to put fear out here and if we don’t push back, then they when without doing more than using threatening words.

We should not let it be that easy to defeat us.

Judith’s OFA team, WiW’s OFA team and teams around the US are working hard to rally the troups – this is what we should be posting too.

Thanks for your comment. We all play different roles.
If our ‘hair is on fire’ right now in response to a Fascist coup where No-Truth is happening as it did in the Soviet Union — imo that’s a good thing. Russia still wants to dominate the world and now here’s a no-nothing U.S. President with 30% backing who is openly facilitating the end of our Democracy. We’ve a limited time before it will be incredibly hard to reverse a Little Russia where truth and the veracity of words means little to nothing. The tone of my comments varies, often light and humorous. Not today!

Well, I am baffled, and I am a little sad. I’d appreciate any help or suggestions: a couple of weeks ago, I stopped getting email notifications for new TOD POSTS. So, have re-subscribed “successfully”, but still not getting mail. Okay. So I sign in from Safai, no biggie. But, for some reason in the past couple of days, comments I make are just not showing up. And I am really confused, especially as one I wrote earlier, with the full moon (critical info, I know) stats is nowhere to be found! šŸ˜”šŸ˜ŸšŸ˜Æ I humbly checked the last 3 threads, just in case I was wandering lost and alone through the interwebz, but alas, nothing turned up. So, okay. If this posts, I’ll be delighted, if it doesn’t, you guys will never know ~~~

“You don’t miss the water until the well runs dry” is an old proverb that reflects how many in US feel re: PBO and the disaster that followed him. To many took his work and his care for us for granted, thought it was never enough or imperfect in some way; did not really realize that he was the glue that held us together with his honor, intelligence, love, courage and unrelenting work on our behalf and failed to heed his many warnings. Well, we are in the shit now and all of us have to shovel it to keep from expiring in it.
