That sounds unconstitutional and will be thrown out in court. The law would only target women which makes it sex-biased. I wish people would vote against politicians who hate women but they keep voting for Republicans so here we are.

The Koch brothers are angry that TrumpmCare isn’t more harsh on Medicaid users. They truly are heartless and they have the ear of the White House Occupant.

This is what happens when the occupant has no moral compass, no grounding values, no vision of good for the people he’s SUPPOSED to serve. Karma will not be kind.

I actually see no difference between this and other mass murders in history. This is needless killing from a govt that is supposed to be there for its people. It is so offensive to me I can barely stand it. Repulsive. We HAVE to keep the pressure up….and vote. Our lives depend on it.

In my job in federal law enforcement mandatory retirement is at age 57, I’m 50 now so I have seven years left before I’m out the door. At 57 I’ll receive a law enforcement supplement until 62 when I’m first eligible to receive social security. I’m not complaining because with my generous pension and my TSP (government 40k1) I’ll be just fine. But I’m worried about the millions and millions of people my age and older that won’t be able to survive, that are struggling right now. What happens to those people, this administration wants to get rid of all the social safety nets. And then you factor in this deathcare bill, a hard rain is coming. Please please please, everyone needs to call their senators. I don’t think I’ve ever been this worried about my fellow neighbor, even the ones that voted for Trump.

You feel the way I feel Don… and with that in mind I was at my local 7-11 this morning talking about this healthcare bill to one of the employees. In her opinion, everyone should lose their healthcare, as she has never had healthcare (she said). According to her, her sister lost a leg and couldn’t get disability, so no one should get it. According to her, hookers with 7 kids get Medicaid and food stamps therefore no one should get Medicaid and food stamps. She had a long list and none of it included caring about her fellow neighbor. The whole conversation sickened me.

There is something wrong with McConnell. Something wrong about McConnell.
“According to several officials, McConnell raised doubts about the underlying intelligence andmade clear to the administration that he would consider any effort by the White House to challenge the Russians publicly as an act of partisan politics.”
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/obama-orders-review-of-russian-hacking-during-presidential-campaign/2016/12/09/31
McConnell get out while you can.

McConnell is the leader who works with KOCH and the nra. About SCOTUS he said he didn’t see why he should allow Merrick Garland
a hearing because the nra wasn’t in favor. And that slid by the media? The last 10 years of McConnell has slid by the media?
The worst Do-Nothing GOP in Congress in American history that blocked ALL jobs bills while recovering from the 2nd Great Depression, that is still Climate denying on behalf of KOCH/EXXON. Taking down the Constitution, norms and protocols is nothing to McConnell.
When McConnell isn’t Blocking he is Destroying. And he has got away with it. The media has looked away so far.

    • June 25, 2017 at 12:00 pm

And as WaPo pointed out: After McConnell threatened the Obama Administration with “partisan politics” were they to challenge Russia publicly prior to the November election — Trumputin chose McConnells’ wife for Transportation Secretary.

PBO is so much more of a real man than these bootlicking GOP of all stripes. They knew it, wished that they could stand as tall as he did and continues to, but they are bought and sold, spineless, so they hate him because they cannot be what he is. They will only be satisfied if they can pull him down to their level, to show us that he is not any better than they are. They are left in the shit pile of their own making while the man that they keep trying to destroy is welcomed the world over, admired and respected, still influential and with his family intact and thriving. May God continue to protect and bless PBO and his family and may we have the blessings of his steady hand of leadership in decades to come. Not one president that we have had in my lifetime has had the high profile after leaving office that PBO has. He is continuing his work as community organizer with the world as his community. I am so excited about the plans and the mission of the center that will be located in Chicago and proud that he was able to tell the NARA (?) to keep their money so that he would have the freedom to bring his vision of the center to fruition without their interference or input.

The manufactured so-called ‘pessimism” is driven by people like Todd and it is a GOP meme and predictable strategy. So now Sanders is using false equivalency to run down the party that he ran on as candidate. Wow. Pelosi is BRILLIANT. Warren is BRILLIANT. Susan Rice is BRILLIANT. Harris is BRILLIANT. • June 25, 2017 at 4:38 pm

For eight years these Republicans like Hume question if Barack Obama was an American, if he loved this country. But it is not Obama who think it is just fine for some foreign government to interfere in our election, it is those white so call patriots Americans who claim to love the Constitution, and the United States flag.

Thought I had posted this early today, some esoteric reassurance in hopes of offering a bit of metaphysical comfort ~ from my friend Alan Oken:

Commentary from Bali: 25th June ’17

“As in the previous World Age the collective western paradigm was: “The Father in heaven and I here on Earth are separate. I have little choice be to give my power over to the political and religious leaders in my society and suffer the abuse of power accordingly. This pain awakens me to my Self.” The new paradigm in the process of developing during the Age of Aquarius states: “The Father/Mother, my Group of soul brother and sisters and I are One. I am a conscious expression of the Power of the Universe acting through the Will-to-Good. This enlightened understanding awakens me to my Self and allows me to be of conscious service to others.” As we are just entering the cusp of the New Age, the former paradigm is still stronger than the latter, hence the continued political and religious warfare in our times.

The way out or perhaps better stated, the way UP–When intuition on the level of the Soul is properly fused to the emotional/astral vehicle of the personality, a wonderful alchemy takes place, and the individual becomes aware of the needs of others, is consciously supportive of these needs, and relative to his/her individual talents and abilities, chooses in some way to serve such needs. At this stage of personal development, an individual has evolved a sense of loving detachment to most situations in life. S/He is then able to become a true vehicle for healing and personal integration without becoming involved in the complexities of personal, emotional chaos. A person feels, but is not attached or made compulsive by such feelings. This frees us to love and be loved in a very real sense. Loving detachment on the level of personality and the conscious connection to Love on the level of the Soul as its replacement is definitely a ticket that takes us Home. Love and blessings to one and all, AO”

    PBO on Dec 29, 2016:

“Today, I have ordered a number of actions in response to the Russian government’s aggressive harassment of U.S. officials and cyber operations aimed at the U.S. election. These actions follow repeated private and public warnings that we have issued to the Russian government, and are a necessary and appropriate response to efforts to harm U.S. interests in violation of established international norms of behavior.”
    ………………………………………………

“These actions are not the sum total of our response to Russia’s aggressive activities. We will continue to take a variety of actions at a time and place of our choosing, some of which will not be publicized. In addition to holding Russia accountable for what it has done, the United States and friends and allies around the world must work together to oppose Russia’s efforts to undermine established international norms of behavior, and interfere with democratic governance.”……..

This is part of the statement PBO made yet Republicans and Democrats keep saying his response was inadequate. It is clear from this that the sanctions put in place and the other measures are not all that were or would be done but Dem Reps (I expect the republicans to do this) are just out there bashing President Obama yet not taking into account that measures may have been taken or should be taken that are covert as mentioned in his statement.

It is the same thing they have done for much of his presidency. Rarely has there been full throated, wall to wall blanketing of the media in support of policy if not him

It’s a big part of why US is at this point and will get worse if Democrats don’t get a clue.

    • June 25, 2017 at 5:22 pm

      Media tell the truth:
McCONNELL threatened to call it partisan politics — if PBO told the American people about the Russian hacking.
McCONNELL somehow also denied the factual findings of our Intelligence Community.
PBO did what he could viz. McConnell’s THREATS + Putin poss retaliation to heavier sanctions by blowing up the whole election.
PBO did NOT side with Hillary on this and had to consider the reactions by Trump’s violent base in view of their hero’s comments
      about the election being ‘rigged’.
Trumputin is NOW admitting that Russia hacked the election – making himself a self-confessed Illegitimate President.
His refusal to act looks like collusion.
