    I have no use for those people (especially Dems) publicly attacking Speaker Pelosi;

    – she has paid her dues;

    – she has demonstrable results I can never even achieve;

    – I kept the receipts of her victories and tenacity;

    —–she is not responsible for people’s bigotry and hatemongering that they then push on the very person they are victimizing – much like accusing PBO for the racism;

    I put these people in the same group as those African Americans who seemed to jump out ONLY when there was an opportunity to attack PBO;

    I will therefore just ignore those bickering dems for now .. let them knock themselves out;

    Instead of focusing all the criticism and anger at republicans and their policies, these people have to waste out time, space and energy attacking fellow democrats;

    this venom being thrown at Speaker is the same garbage they used to trash PBO, HRC … they seem to never learn.

    I have very limited time, resources and energy available to me. I will use it to support Democrats candidates and policies. Yes, even those who may not be my first choice;

    Democrats candidates may not all be like PBO, but they are part of the political family, and they will get my public support.

    If I need to criticize Dems, then I will send them a more discreet but direct message.

    There is simply too much at stake to do public democratic-in-fighting – unless someone crosses some boundary that is unacceptable by most reasonable people;

    To date, there is NOTHING I have seen from republican candidates that I can support.

    The policies of the gop represent real danger to me and I will be part of the public pushback against what they are offering.

      Your logic to me is impeccable and I am of the same mind. Also, it will be very important to be stronger together as we have such ruthless people to contend with. But as PBO would and does always say, the good news, that’s how he frames things, is that we are closer than ever because of President Obama and I saw that with Hillary Clinton’s campaign. The Democratic party did not go back to separate camps but banded together under her campaign. She chose the Obama patterns. Yes, they are throwing everything they have that is evil and divisive against us but they don’t get it. We are basing our work on good and that is always more powerful than the worst evil in the world.

    As a group of 13 Republican senators—all of them both white and male—continue to craft in secret their version of a major healthcare overhaul bill, a new analysis shows these lawmakers have received approximately double the amount of campaign contributions from the health insurance and pharmaceutical industries than their Senate colleagues who have been so far excluded from the process.

    According to Maplight, a watchdog that tracks campaign spending, those chosen by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to draft the Senate’s version of Trumpcare legislation have collected, on average, $214,000 from companies that will be directly affected by major changes to the nation’s healthcare system. That compares to an average of just $115,000 bestowed upon members not participating in the closed-door negotiations. Four of the 13 have received more than $300,000 from the insurance and pharmaceutical industries between November 2010 and November 2016, the timeframe covered by the analysis. Both McConnell and Sen. Orin Hatch of Utah have received well over $400,000 during that time period.

    Here’s the breakdown:

    Duh. This U.S. President has colluded with Putin to create chaos and bring the United States down.
    Even now he has said and done nothing about the Russian hacking. We knew Donald Trump was guilty from early on.
    GOP is on board with the mess Putin is making of America. And the right wing media is also profiting from it.
    –We need exponentially more cash for Cybersecurity. It has fallen behind.
    –Get him and his pals out of the White House asap.
    –Do not vote for anything until EVERY CYBER check has been done on every system in every state.
    –Do not vote for anything until EVERY system has a PAPER TRAIL.
    –Right now Putin + United States right wing confederates are winning.

      I don’t think there is any doubt that DT actually colluded, in word and deed. If he didn’t he wouldn’t care so much about getting the opposite message out.

      Makes you wonder why they’re Democrats in the first place if they cannot stand by Pelosi but Republicans can stand by Trump who is horrible. These are the same “Democrats” who refused to defend President Obama which led to lost seats in 2010 and 2014. Disgusting.

    I hope that democrats in the House focus on the fact that we are currently pushing to save Obamacare.

    For the next few weeks, most of our energies need to be focused on saving Obamacare.

    NOW is not the time to waste energy and go on cable shows as you repeat gop talking points to try to undermine the Dem leadership team. These attacks will be just put into a commercial and replayed against the next Dem candidate.

    Yes, you get 15 minutes of fame on cable TV.

    But previous records have shown that you can’t even win a state-wide election and you so not have much support outside your congressional district.

    How do you hope to control the elected Dem members from across the nation who are elected by people with diverse interests?

    If you have concerns with the Dem leadership, contact them directly and give them the feedback of how you wish they could do their work better.

    the same distancing-from-PBO and intra-party cannibalism is something some people seem to thrive on.

    meanwhile, the other corrupt and bigoted party stick together and are not even ashamed to support candidates or elected members who have been accused of crimes

    GOP still wants to call it Obamacare even though what they are doing… and what 45 is doing, especially with funding CSR…it is not even close. Are they so ashamed of it that they don’t want to call it what it is?

    • June 22, 2017 at 8:51 am

      If Republicans make such changes it is no longer Obamacare/ACA.
      Why not take credit for their death care plans?

        from the article

        But ultimately it’s not clear the party believes it would face those consequences. The 2018 House map still favors Republicans, and the party is defending far fewer Senate seats than Democrats. Aggressively gerrymandered districts provide another layer of defense, as does voter suppression, and the avalanche of spending from outside groups. Americans might be hurt and outraged by the effects of the AHCA, but those barriers blunt the electoral impact.

        —extreme polarization means Republicans can mobilize supporters without being forced to talk about or account for their actual actions. Identity, for many voters, matters more than their pocketbooks. Republicans simply need to signal their disdain—even hatred—for their opponents, political or otherwise. Why worry about the consequences of your policies when you can preclude defeat by changing the ground rules of elections, spending vast sums, and stoking cultural resentment?

    On Thursdays Speaker Pelosi normally holds a press conference. If she follows the same schedule, then today she will be holding a press conference. The timing would be great because she would have a chance to publicly criticize the newly-released trumpcare & get to frame that garbage. He is one concern which I hope doesn’t happen: hope she is not asked about the few but loud Dems that are attacking her. But knowing how media thrives on conflict & takes a glee about in-fighting within the Dem, she may be asked about it. If they do, then once again hysterical Dems will have undermined the Dem message – scoring own-political-goal

      http://www.rollcall.com/news/pelosi-blows-off-calls-step/

      Describing herself as “worth the trouble,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi Thursday blew off calls from House Democrats for her to step down from leadership in the wake of special election losses this year and failing to gain the majority in four straight national elections.

      “It’s not up to them,” she said of members calling for her to let someone else give it a try before calling herself a “master legislator.”

      The comments were in marked contrast to those of people like Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., who Wednesday night on CNN joined some other Democrats in saying it was time for Pelosi to go.
      “Whether she’s a leader or not is up for the (Democratic) caucus to decide,” Moulton said. “It’s clear, that I think, across the board in the Democratic Party, we need new leadership. It’s time for a new generation of leadership.”

      On Thursday, though, Pelosi praised the tighter margins in this year’s special elections for four GOP seats in Kansas, Montana, South Carolina and Georgia, despite Republicans retaining all four seats.

      Pelosi acknowledged the congressional seats left open by President Donald Trump’s appointments were not Democratic priorities but opened up new fronts for the party.

      “They’ve now made these competitive races,” Pelosi said. “These are opportunities for us.”

      Pelosi said she believes the reason why the GOP has spent millions targeting her during elections is because she’s “an effective leader.”

      BINGO!
