    Hello. The fight for ACA continues

      Yes and I hope Democrats are doing all they can to fight for the ACA in the Senate. Americans cannot afford Trump Care.

  2. June 15, 2017 at 12:00 pm

    THANK YOU for this, {{{{NW}}}}. The fight continues.

    And now off to read the post … thank you, Nerdy!

    Good morning Ms. Chips, Danny and TOD family, I hope all is well with everyone this lovely Thursday morning. Congrats GCL, on being first this morning.

    Nerdy, thanks so much for helping Ms. Chips and for the sacrifices you’re making for us TOD’ers. šŸ’«šŸ™šŸ‘ŒšŸ‘Šā¤

    To all, you can’t control the movement of time, you can’t control when the sun will rise, nor can you control when the sun will set; but you can control how you respond to this glorious life given to you today. ā¤ ā¤ ā¤

    Found at BJ for those of us with DEM Senators:

    low-tech cyclist says:
    June 15, 2017 at 12:00 pm

    I’m gonna say it again: while we should thank our Dem Senators for their commitment to vote against the Senate bill, we should be asking more of them than just that.

    The Senate runs on unanimous consent. The Dems should withhold consent until either the Senate bill is published well in advance of a vote, or until hearings take place on the bill in advance of a vote.

    Right now, the health care bill is completely absent from the newspaper headlines, and is equally absent from other major media. GOP Senators aren’t going to hear much from their constituents about a bill that isn’t in the news. It’s the Dems’ job to get it into the news. Withholding unanimous consent is one thing they can do. Will any of them do it?

    I have called my Senators to make this ask. I urge the rest of you with Dem Senators do the same.

      Read through a few comments. As usual a few people don’t want the author to specifically acknowledge the contribution of these young Moslems. Guess such positive acknowledgement would mess up with their stereotypes. People can be so blatant in their resentment

    Asking my friends for suggestions please. What would you say to Senators Enzi and Barrasso if you could email or talk with their assistant?
    It’s silly for WY to have two Senators on the healthcare committee when we have less than a million people in our state. I’m not suggesting they will listen but let’s tell them what we think.

    GM CMWY.

    They might listen to a neighboring Senator (and one who has really upped his profile in recent weeks — national MSM are *actually* tweeting about him — he pretty much was off their radar before now).

    And about our future (children):

    Here he is on #LunchShaming:

    And on the plight of refugees:

    And he retweeted this šŸ˜€ :

    Check out his timeline for more that may persuade his neighboring Senators in Wyoming — could have sworn I saw a tweet that he’s on the Energy Committee too, but can’t find now. 😦

      They’re trying to use their children as pawns in that effort. As if other officials in office never had kids…what about Chelsea Clinton, Amy Carter, Malia/Sasha Obama?

    • June 15, 2017 at 4:45 pm

      And they are encouraged by these privileged reporters. You hear them talk about how, it is unimaginable that a ball park in this Rockwellesque park could be riddled with bullets. I couldn’t sleep last night 3 a.m. woke up to folks on Brian Williams spouting this foolishness. You have American streets drowning in bullets day in and day out and these same Republican Congress people refuse to do anything about it. How is it that their hurt is any deeper than the families of Sandy Hook and others? They can miss me with this nonsense. As I said no one deserves to be shot, but I have little sympathy for these people.

      They get ZERO pity from me. I hope the two law enforcement people that put their lives on the line recovery well.

      But *they* are the ones constantly screaming about politicizing it.

      Call me callous, but it irks me that this is such a big deal for them, but they have little to no care about the people who deal with shootings everyday. Will *this* make them do something about gun legislation?

        In a word: Nope.

        • June 15, 2017 at 5:34 pm

          One, because in general, this is not something that affects them. They feel safe behind their gated communities or with their security detail. But also, even though the majority of Americans have indicated that they are in favor of common sense gun legislation, GOP congresspeople think they know better than we do what we want or need. They have no respect for the people they represent.

        Keep sticking with him and making obscene, hypocritical excuses for him, GOP…and be dragged down with him.

        It’s exactly what they deserve.

        Trump should never have put himself and his slimy, thuggish business dealings under the presidential microscope…but Obama Derangement Syndrome overtook him.

      • June 15, 2017 at 3:49 pm

        Plenty of people aren’t articulate but they know what a fact is and they know what lying is, and they know what endangering National Security looks and feels like. And they didn’t feel qualified to run for President. IMO Presidents should have Ph.Ds or the equivalent.
        And we need a media that is articulate about the facts and know what lying is.

    This guy Rep. Steve Scalise is a piece of work, this guy railed against same sex marriage. He has an A+ rating from the NRA and he once labeled himself ā€œDavid Dukeā€ without the baggage. Well in my eyes if you label yourself a David Duke that tells me you don’t give a fuck about black people. And now everybody wants to hold hands and sign kumbaya and forget about the fact that in this guy’s eyes if you aren’t straight and white you have no place in his world. I have compassion for those that have compassion for me.

    • June 15, 2017 at 4:04 pm

      Can’t wait for the ultra-ironic think piece about how a guy who calls himself David Duke without the baggage and is adamantly against gay rights somehow has his entire sorry life completely saved by a BLACK MAN and a LESBIAN POC.

        I know, what were the odds of that ? Probably higher than we know… because our world is thankfully filled with black & gay folks.. but until some folks need their lives saved… those lives don’t matter.

    • June 15, 2017 at 4:17 pm

      Scalise’s white supremacy and NRA affiliations have got buried along the way. Congressionals feeling greater personal threat.
      What if Scalise had been killed? Gabby Giffords said “Congress did nothing when I was shot. Lawmakers need courage now.”
      McConnell is wed to the NRA as well as KOCH. IMO for starters we need to get rid of McConnell.

    I still don’t understand why the majority of the media and investigative journalist have a blind-spot about the role of pence;

    Once, again, flynn DIDN’T lie to pence because pence knew exactly flynn’s background and why he was contacting the Russians;

    the role with flynn is one of the reasons WHY pence has hired a private lawyer;

    pence wanted to become president and the gop have been salivating about him as #46 with “get-ready-for-pence” slogans – something that was reported in the news;

    but if we know anything about scoundrel #45, such hyping bothers him. therefore, he will make sure to destroy pence too so that both go down;
