Pulse Anniversary – such a sad day for so many!

Horrendous. Still awful now when you think about how many young lives were cut short by a deranged man with a gun.

  2. June 12, 2017 at 4:41 pm

Thank you NerdyWonka for this beautiful remembrance and honoring of a day; one of tragedy and loss in 2016, and of justice and joy and validation of freedom and human rights in 1967. Powerful and poignant and important. You give us great gifts every single day.

Republicans don’t care about what Americans want or they’d pay attention to this polling. But I guess they believe that voter suppression and gerrymandering will help them keep Congress in 2018.

Exactly – they are so bloody confident Putin and Snowden have it wrapped, hence the perpetual hideous smug expressions on their ugly faces. They are so sure of themselves. Just as I am sure they will all look fine in their prison-wear by #thegoddessofcheapknockoffs’, who will herself look faboo in handcuffs. Maybe some cheap rhinestones on hers, to cheer her up after dealing with all the viciousness in DC…

They were so smug in 2016 that they would win, we shouldn’t even be questioning that they manipulated not just voters but the machinery of voting. We have one chance, 2018, to turn this sinking ship around. They know their ugly carnival goose is overcooked & that’s why they’re pushing all kinds of crazy shot thru. AKA, ACA, Dodd Drank, etc. Dems in Congress need to really rep We The People.

Mayor Muldoon removed official Trump and Pence portraits from the walls of Jackson’s City Hall. In a statement he said “We aren’t required to display signs of respect — our respect is earned, not demanded..When the Town Of Jackson decides to honor such a divisive person, it is taking sides against some of its residents. The Town Council has made no such decision, and until and unless it does, that kind of honor will not be bestowed.” He said no one at city hall approved of he portraits and compared the requirement to display to Stalinism.

    Get Lost NBC!
Sandy Hook Mom Ms. Marquez-Green is outraged that NBC Kelly is giving Sandy-Hook-is-a-Hoax Alex Jones a platform.
And I feel the same way about Oliver Stone’s “Putin Interviews”: Why is NBC showing the ‘friendly face’ of Putin after he attacked our nation and messed up our election, interfered with democratic institutions across the west? Cheap play to Trumputin’s base/McConnell and others with shares in EXXON/Rosneft? Trump’s 75% virtual tweeter support? Maybe it will help KOCHPUTIN gain public support to lift sanctions?
This is the same Russian billionaire whose people go hungry while Russia’s economy is smaller than Italy’s.
NBC: Didn’t make enough cash already off supporting the Trumputin campaign and beyond? WHY NOW and is there a word for it?

I am a member of AARP and I just made a contribution today to help fight the Republican’s inhumane health care bill that will devastate the poor, and especially the elderly poor. We must not allow these heartless Republicans to deprive over 20 million people health care coverage.

Found at the following twitter thread:

    Armando‏ @armandodkos

Are Bernie delegates on Dem Unity Commission and Rules Committee proposing a radical change to delegate selection process for Pres. Noms? /1

I fear they are. And their proposals would gut the voting power of POC. Here is what I fear- that Bernie delegates are proposing /3

That in States that have closed primaries, those result be discarded and delegates be chosen by open caucus- turning State run primary /5

Into a beauty contest while having the delegates chosen in sparsely attended caucuses. Example – Nebraska has such a system. /6

The Bernie delegate proposal I suspect will make system mandatory. This Florida, which is controlled by GOP, could have closed primary /7

but have the result of millions of votes thrown out in favor of sparsely attended caucuses that are difficult for POC and working voters/8

It is a cynical and outrageous idea that will disenfranchise millions of POC. And that’s the design. It’s what they want to achieve. /9

I’m sounding the alarm now so it doesn’t happen. Join me in demanding @TomPerez publicly reject this proposal. /10

This attempt to rig the primary must be stopped. /11

It is not a coincidence that Bernie Sanders and his supporters have never stated that primaries are better than caucuses. /12

That all this is happening in back rooms not public forums, is not a coincidence. They want to present as a fait accompli-price of unity/13

I expect a walkout will be threatened if their proposal isn’t accepted. I’m for Unity but this price is simply too high. Let them walk. /14

If Bernie’s delegates deny and reject my surmises, I’ll be happy and will gladly apologize to them. Small price to pay. /15

So, Chairman Perez…what say you? Are you going to allow the dismissal of millions of loyal Democratic Party Voters?

If I remember correctly, Mueller made certain stipulations before accepting the role of special counsel, among them was the range of his authority. I wonder if there was a stipulation regarding whether or not he could be fired, and if so, under what conditions.

      • June 13, 2017 at 8:20 am

Just posted Seth Abramson’s thread a little further up. One of the things he said was that [45] would rather take his chances with Congress than with Mueller.

I just wonder if there is a point where even the GOP Congress will stop defending him; where even *they* can’t come up with any more inane excuses.
