“Ryan denies GOP would try to impeach Dem accused of same actions as Trump”

    http://thehill.com/homenews/house/336957-ryan-republicans-wouldnt-be-trying-to-impeach-democratic-president-accused-of#.WTqjzIsSCh8.twitter

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) insisted on Thursday that Republicans wouldn’t be calling for the impeachment of a Democratic president accused of the same actions as President Trump.

As fired FBI Director James Comey was before a Senate committee, accusing the president of trying to influence a criminal investigation, Ryan dismissed the notion from a reporter at his weekly Capitol press conference that Republicans would be suggesting impeachment at this point.

“No. I don’t think we would, actually. I don’t think that’s at all the case,” Ryan said.

If Paul Ryan and his racists bigots could have they would have impeach Barack Obama so fast it would make your head spin. Ryan is a liar like Trump.

Gotta go! I left a bunch a material at the end of the last post about the voting machine software issue. Scary stuff.

    • June 9, 2017 at 1:09 pm

Yes, that is some scary, scary stuff. So, how do you think the judge is going to rule in that case? And thanks for sharing it.

I hope she goes bold and rules in favor of paper ballots. It would be a major disruption, but necessary.
We need to have faith in the integrity of our elections. If the judicial system won’t help us save democracy then we are lost.

The last voting by machine was 2008 in WA state. Mail-in ballots are immensely effective, I believe, and the system seems to be working well. So much more likely people will vote, and less likely this kind of fraud can be perpetuated. Mind you, I suppose the GOP do NOT want voting to be easy, for precisely the same reasons. They sure do have some nasty karma taking shape. Hope it comes at them, fast, and soon! đŸżđŸ·đŸșđŸ„ƒđŸč

Amen, amen, amen. These f**kers from all political stripes are so afraid of women (once we saw them at university, at work and in government, we wondered how these mostly mediocre men have held power for so long (they lie, cheat, belittle and make laws to keep women down) and we know that so many of us are much smarter and more skilled. We no longer look up at them adoringly (which was really mostly a survival ploy) or think that they are all that special and they have lost their minds. Too many of them think that they are entitled to women which is why the number one thing reason for women’s deaths is murder at the hand of men they know. As they hurl their abuse and attempts to shut us up, more and more women are standing up, speaking out and fighting back. I firmly believe that it is women who will finally bring down the malignant 45 and the knuckle-dragging, swamp rats around him. Unfortunately, we are used to being belittled, told we are not good enough, etc. that we know how to brush off the insults and to keep moving. All too often, men lose sight of the main goal and get all caught up in their egos and defending it rather than defending the country (PBO is the notable exception) and getting us out of this mess. Reading JK’s response and seeing what has happened to women in govt. and media (I speak their names: Maxine Waters, April Ryan, Susan Rice, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Hillary Clinton) these past months have caused trauma in thousands if not millions of women (myself included) because we have suffered the slings and arrows of male emotional and psychological abuse by men we refused or stood up to. But, you know, we know how to survive and to thrive; to persist, insist, and resist; and we smile because we know that we are winning, that we are on our way to victory when they come at us so hard with their tired tactics. Women get shit done and we will do what is needed to remake our country.

As bad as Adam’s situation is, I have faith that the South Korean Embassy will help him and connect him with generous English-speaking people there. With FUBAR, we have to rely on foreign countries media and citizens to help the US out as much as possible.

Also, to have two sets of abusive adoptive parents is too tragic for words.

When you call your Senators, you might want to remind them of THIS

    http://money.cnn.com/2017/04/19/news/economy/veteran-obamacare/

The number of uninsured veterans plummeted after Obamacare began, a new Urban Institute study has found.
The uninsured rate among veterans under age 65 dropped to 5.9% in 2015, down from 9.6% two years earlier, according to the report. The number of vets lacking coverage fell to 552,000, down from 980,000.
The changes started in 2014, when two major Obamacare coverage provisions kicked in. That’s when Medicaid expansion took effect and the Obamacare exchanges opened. Most uninsured veterans had incomes that would make them eligible either for Obamacare subsidies or Medicaid.
Veterans eligible for Medicaid expansion — individuals earning up to $16,400 — saw the largest drop in uninsured rates. Prior to Obamacare, some 21.6% of these vets lacked coverage. By 2015, this share fell to 12.2%. The declines were largest in the states that expanded Medicaid.

huh, maybe folks are paying attention. But why aren’t republican congress people paying attention? No one wants their hateful Unhealthy bill.
This has got to be Ryan & McConnel just so stuck on hurting President Obama- and all of us who voted for him. There is no reason to cause all of us so much pain, except literally to cause us pain.

On a happy note, we are going to the “summer adoptathon” tomorrow at our local fairgrounds and see about adopting a dog. Our guy passed away recently and I miss him terribly. They bring different rescues together- dogs and cats for a huge adoption day. I realized the other day that we’ve had a pooch for the last 25 yrs- and it was only two dogs! We were so lucky. Hopefully a lot of folks will come and all the critters will get homes.

Donald Trump’s official social media director was found to have violated the Hatch Act on Friday, for invoking his White House position while engaging in a political attack, the Office of Special Counsel wrote Friday.

In a tweet on April 1, White House Social Media Director Dan Scavino urged the constituents of Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) to vote him out of office.

They tried to screw him and he was like, f**k it, I will do it myself so that it reflects what I have tried to do for the community (world-wide) all of my like. At the end of the article it said that the rule regarding funding changed in 2008. Prior to that foundations only needed to come up with 20% of the funding, now t is 60% before NARA loosened the purse strings. Still trying to control the Black man. For PBO it has always been about us and not about him and the museum will reflect that; a living, breathing, modern, organization and design (the original one is out) that meets current needs and prepares young people for a future as active citizens. So proud of my president, who does not compromise his values and is not afraid to do the unexpected, to find a way out of no way to help as many people as possible. Once a community organizer, always a community organizer. I know that his family is so proud of him.
