Good Morning TOD family. She has a beautiful voice. I’m bringing my comment over from the previous thread.

Did anyone see Keith Ellison on Morning Joe? Please let me know what you thought of his appearance. It was both horrendous.and embarrassing. But maybe I have it wrong. He was asked to respond to HRC’s assertion that the DNC was bankrupt and gave her nothing.

He has been less than spectacular lately IMO also. I live in his district and wrote him a love note regarding his mis-characterization of our president as the reason Dems had trouble winning off cycle elections. (no response when I asked if the bernie-bros sitting out made a difference). All i got back was a pretty generic form response, IMO not sufficient!!

I will surely chuckle the day he loses his seat to some 3rd party libertarian nutball. Perhaps a small price to pay to flip this seat to a real democrat…

I saw him & didn’t think he was that bad. He didn’t respond to the Hillary questions which I thought was good. Enough with pitting Dems against each other which is what they were going for. He emphasis was on moving forward not backward. I do think Dems need a message that resonates. They aren’t there yet. I don’t believe Bernie is the answer either. Joe’s primary question was about the DNC’s lower fundraising which based on Hillary’s and Jeb Bush’s fundraising money is not always the winner. There are so many Progressive groups asking for money the DNC may get left out of the loop.

Boom! A big FU to DT, but NOT to US.

    https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/jun/02/european-leaders-vow-to-keep-fighting-global-warming-despite-us-withdrawal

The European Union has rejected Donald Trump’s offer to renegotiate the Paris climate agreement and pledged instead to bypass Washington to work with US business leaders and state governors to implement the historic accord’s commitments.

Less than 24 hours after the US president announced his decision to withdraw from the 2015 agreement and strike a new, less ambitious deal with the rest of the world, Brussels declared its outright refusal to engage in such talks.

EU officials will instead cut out the White House to deal directly with the US states and major corporations, many of whom have already pledged to live by the terms forged in Paris.

Good for them — and these are hardly leftwing folks. They are sensible businessmen and billionaires. Trump needs to listen to them instead of his Republican yes men and women.

      GA Nena.

      Congrats to Mr. Varadkar.

Hope the Obamas and Bidens plan a (joint) trip there soon — Ireland treats their sons so well, and loves both POTUS and VP (forever) — IIRC, Jill wasn’t available for Joe’s trip to Ireland last year.

Would be so much fun to see them there, a real “pick me up” (in keeping with this thread’s theme 😀 ), and would love to see the new Irish PM host both families.

Trump would do so at his own peril. Trump barely won last November so he needs to remember that he’s not supported by the vast majority of the American people. He is not a dictator and this is not his kingdom.

Business leaders, medical researchers, and any others who have a financial stake in this will not allow him to touch this new market. This rush to destroy every Obama accomplishment is mostly failing because most people like and benefit from what our PBO did. Our 44ever was and is about making life better and the world more equitable for all of us. 45 has only jealousy and spite, which Tim Kaine pointed out on Twitter. He flat out said the Dolt was jealous of Obama.

      Hello again 🙂 , Nena.

It’s as plain as the nose on ones face that #DJTdoctrine is to alienate our allies, dismantle NATO and act as #SiberianPresident. Haven’t seen this mentioned, but it’s beyond hubris to think that US can unilaterally develop 194 agreements (the number of countries which have agreed to the Paris Climate Accords).

Former US Ambassador to Russia has some good observations:

      He RT’d this:

With regard to Bannon and Kushner … I think Bannon (and the GOP nuts -McTurtle and Lyin Ryan) is starting to turn the wheels to rid Kushner … and Putin’s Puppet.
Make way to install Teletubby Pence as the next Emperor.
Weaken US, weaken Europe … make Russia stronger.
Everything he tweets or does is to distract from Russia-gate. Including the exit from Paris climate deal.
I hope the resistance marchers show up in pink again so that PP can’t try to somehow put a spin to say they are his supporters (as Tally pointed out above)

TRUMP IS AN OIL AND GAS THUG.
As are many of his top appointees.
Tillerson lied on oath. He is STILL signing Oil deals even though his confirmation was contingent on recusal from EXXON.
Pappa Putin’s objective is exactly what Trumputin obsesses about: The world “laughing at” the U.S.A. (himself).
However the election hacking plays out, Russia WINS if America waits to act.
Trumputin was working on lifting Russian sanctions even before and as well as after he took office.
Our famed historic U.S. National Security forces must take the traitor Trump down fast or lose their longtime International awe and credibility.
    How long? Not long.
