Our PBO still has to lead. This is also a good reminder that the agreement is also about jobs is about jobs and the fact that technology and businesses and energy plants all over the country are furthering clean and renewable energy. This trying to get rid of things simply because they came from PBO, will further erode 45’s already faltering presidency. There are 4 years from the date of signing before the US can get out of the agreement and he is putting us in a position that other countries could apply a carbon tariff to US exports. next to China, we are the biggest polluter and it is criminal and short-sighted for that dumbass to try to pull away from an agreement that helps to save the only home that all of us have.

The company’s former CEO Rex Tillerson has been implicated in the investigation.”

IMO we’re right in our assessment that doing so is payback for the many financial and other favors Putin has done for Trump over the last 3 decades. And anytime Trump starts to lift sanctions (such as per lifting sanctions on Russian compounds closed in the US in response to Russian interference in our presidential election), it’s a step on the way to (normalizing) lifting sanctions on the trillion$ money-making
Exxon-Rosneft oil deal in the Siberian Arctic.

Rep Adam Smith, WA dist 9

“President Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement is a disastrous move that undermines the most significant global climate change agreement to date. Either the President does not understand or simply does not care about the devastating impact global climate change will bring about.

As the world’s second-largest polluter, emitting fifteen percent of global emissions, but with only about five percent of the world’s population, the United States has a moral obligation to reduce carbon emissions. The Administration’s action also shows a disturbing ignorance of our country’s role as an international leader and a complete disregard for the proven science and consequences of a changing climate.

With sea-levels continuing to rise, global temperatures increasing, and record droughts and fires destroying communities, it is irresponsible to abandon the international community. Across the world, extreme weather events and climate change disproportionately impact people and communities of color and those living in poverty. The United States and the international community have supported advancements in global health, stability, and democracy to combat climate change while making strides in promoting policies focused on expanding environmental justice. I have been heartened to see that combined efforts have created new jobs, increased standards of living, and lifted millions out of poverty. Now is not the time for the United States to turn its back on progress and our international partners.

The fight to prevent a changing climate does not stop today. In response to the Trump Administration’s failure to lead, we must support the actions of our local leaders as they implement policies that prioritize improvements to public health and investments in programs that mitigate the growing dangers of climate change. I am proud to represent a district that prioritizes a sustainable relationship with nature, and I take my commitment to protecting our environment seriously. I will continue to fight for policies that allow for future generations to lead prosperous and healthy lives.”

No mistake that Trumputin chose EXXON’s former CEO Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State.
Putin signed the EXXON-Rosneft deal during the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, currently under U.S. sanctions for Russian election meddling.
Tillerson received Russia’s highest honor in person from Putin and is a personal friend of Putin’s.

Exxon’s press release says (San Patricio County is just north of Corpus Christi TX):

“In April 2017, ExxonMobil and SABIC selected a site in San Patricio County, Texas, for the proposed petrochemical complex that would include an ethane steam cracker capable of producing 1.8 million tonnes of ethylene per year, a monoethylene glycol unit and two polyethylene units.

The project is one of 11 major chemical, refining, lubricant and liquefied natural gas projects associated with ExxonMobil’s Growing the Gulf initiative in the United States that have been made possible by the abundance of low-cost U.S. natural gas.”

    Hello Dearly Beloved TODbots.
As it’s been said: There is No Condition that is Permanent……unless, death……& even death, some form of Life continues.
Trump is a Wicked Evil Cancer. It’s easier to prop himself by being destructive. To build & come up with Fresh Ideas for the greater Good is a much Tougher Job. Trump is a Taker, a Destroyer, A bigot, a Liar. Etc. Only his Ego matters to him. A man who can use his 11yo Autistic Child to gain sympathy is depraved. To all those who are complicit in his conduct, may they all go to Fiery Blazes .
USA is in a Historical decline because of this Man Child Idiot in the WH. To get back to form will take Decades. Trump is an Atomic Bomb the size, bigger than Hiroshima & Nagasaki combined.

States are fighting back. According to an NBC news tweet, California, Washington State and New York will convene an alliance of states to uphold the Paris Agreement. Many have seen the benefits of clean, renewable energy in the environment and jobs, and know that the future is here. Most power plants use less coal now having moved to diversify sources of energy. My 989 square feet cottage is located in NE Fla. where the air conditioner is on year long. My electric bills for the past 3 years have run from 75.00 to 148.00 even in the midst of summer. Solar energy is much more affordable and regular, everyday people have them. PBO’s energy policies are paying off just like ACA. People we reluctant at first, mostly because the othe rside lied, but now they see the benefits and are not going back. It is really ironic that we are in a period in which it will be States’ rights and actions that will save the country. For the most part, what Dumbass did today is toothless. The major loss is our reputation on the world stage, but that is fine with me as long as there are others to pick up the slack and move the world forward.

CEO’s of major companies have made statements against this insane action. PBO, the community organizer, got all of the stakeholders involved in US energy policy etc. They like what it has produced and what is possible for the future. I am also encouraged by what Macron said, In English, directed at US (although he is attempting a brain drain as well). He knows that this is 45 and his band, not the majority of us. Today’s premature shit show looks to be as toothless, especially in the long run, as other things he has done. When PBO puts something together, it is built to withstand challenges.

So – what horror news to awake to – if this doesn’t bring him down – there is no future for the US. The final break with those who care about humanity and the future of our children.

I enjoyed reading what the leader of one of our minor political party leaders had to say

MP Adam Bandt using Twitter to call Mr Trump a “climate criminal”.
“Trump has just threatened our security and our way of life. Time to dump Trump,” Mr Bandt wrote.
“Trump’s ‘axis of denial’ is a greater threat to global security than terrorism.”

Anyone who tries to excuse this attack on people, all over our planet, should be called to account each and every day.
And as usual he stepped on his own …. – No-one cares about a 4th rate comedian any more.
