Michael Hayden, the former director of the NSA and the CIA, told CNN on Saturday that the reported content of Jared Kushner’s conversations with Russia’s ambassador in December may have motivated former national security adviser Susan Rice to request his name to be unmasked in intelligence reports.
Most of the controversy surrounding Rice’s reported attempts to “unmask” Trump officials has centered on former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s communications with Russian officials.
But Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and a top White House adviser, floated the possibility of setting up a secure line of communication between the Trump transition team and Russia when he met with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak late last year, The Washington Post reported Friday.
Those talks would take place in Russian diplomatic facilities in the US, the Post said, creating a secure line that would essentially conceal the administration’s interactions with Russian officials from US government scrutiny.

OMG! TODers, I just had an encounter with a Trump true believer and I’m in shock. She is a client of mine who has never brought up politics at all before, so I didn’t either. All of the sudden this morning, she says how the atmosphere and culture has gotten so violent and disrespectful and then she says, “I noticed it has gotten worse since Donald Trump became president so I think it has a lot to do with that” I’m thinking I’m about to agree with her and then she starts in on how she doesn’t understand all the animosity and disrespect he gets because Trump is just trying to do good for the country and how he’s “brought God back to the White House”. She continues in this running stream of consciousness about how she used to be Catholic, but now she’s a born again Christian and she’s all about Jesus and she thinks Trump is persecuted in the same way Jesus was persecuted 🙀😱🙀
It was so completely batshit crazy that I could barely respond, and all this while I am giving her a massage therapy session, so slapping her would have been unethical, albeit satisfying. She started the conversation talking about how she is concerned about circus elephants and tigers how cruelly they are treated. All I could think about was that photo of DT jr. holding that elephant tail in his hand and I thought, WTF? I mentioned that the Clinton Foundation is working hard for elephant preservation and she countered with “Well, I don’t like how she gave $$ to Saudi Arabia with the way they treat women.” I didn’t let her what-about-ism the subject away though and she finally admitted that, no, elephants don’t mean that much to her after all. I asked her how she felt about the arms deal DT just made with Saudi Arabia and she said, “Well, I’m sure there’s more to that than we know, so he had good reason.” !!?!
So, after all her Trump is Jesus BS I tried to ask her what is it about her Christian faith that resonates most with her, wondering how in the world the pussy grabbing, thrice married, non church going I-am-my-billionaire-friends-keeper guy qualified as Christian. It seems that Hannity is on the way out because money talks. He, more than any of that motley crew, was the most vomit- inducing one. I have only seen him a few times when you’re some place where all of the TVs are turned on Fox and you cannot get out. I was just about to find someone to complain (there was no way to change the channels or to cut the televisions off) when they called me back for treatment. What kind of person can sit day in and day out listening to the ravings of this man? I really hope that he is fired and never allowed near any form of broadcast again. However, I know he will wind up working for 45 in the end.
Soo Proud. I am a many generation American descendent of slaves, took advantage of affirmative action programs in the 70’s to be the first generation to graduate from college….I know the feeling. My grandmother lives in the village of Treschietto, high in the mountains near the Tuscan border with Liguria, near the marble mines of Massa Carrara, and not far from the Italian riviera.

It seems that Hannity is on the way out because money talks. He, more than any of that motley crew, was the most vomit- inducing one. I have only seen him a few times when you’re some place where all of the TVs are turned on Fox and you cannot get out. He is vile, nasty, and an all-around piss-poor person with no redeeming qualities who was drunk on his inflated sense of power. I was in the emergency room of a local hospital in January and I was trying to find some place that was out of view and hearing of this scum and the fool (#45) that he was trying to interview. My blood pressure sky-rocketed and I was sickened. I noticed another woman who was also trying to find somewhere to go beyond the onslaught of his hateful voice we looked at each other in sad recognition of the spite, hate, and ignorance. I was just about to find someone to complain (there was no way to change the channels or to cut the televisions off) when they called me back for treatment. What kind of person can sit day in and day out listening to the ravings of this man? I really hope that he is fired and never allowed near any form of broadcast again. However, I know he will wind up working for 45 in the end.

Soo Proud. I am a many generation American descendent of slaves, took advantage of affirmative action programs in the 70’s to be the first generation to graduate from college….I know the feeling. It just something you have to do when the opportunity is there. It is harder for folks because so many programs are not “easy” like it was for me. I wouldn’t worry about it so much. The companies will stay on course-they anticipate that the standards would go back in a subsequent administration, so they will stick to the current standard. And other nations will continue the course they are already on. And the Third World sees the new ways of generating energy as a cheap way of getting electric power for themselves. And China is tired of choking on its smog. And the standards would take four years to undo anyway, and I doubt Cheeto lives that long.

Great to see Pres Obama bicycling in the land of my ancestors. My maternal grandparents come from Tuscany. The Tuscan hill country with vineyards and villages is wondrous to behold. My grandfather comes from such a village, Collodi, called the “paese di Pinocchio” in Italy, the village of Pinocchio, because the author of the story, Carlo da Collodi, was a local man, a cook’s helper for the local Count. My granfather was born in the family house, built in the year 1500.

My grandmother lives in the village of Treschietto, high in the mountains near the Tuscan border with Liguria, near the marble mines of Massa Carrara, and not far from the Italian riviera.
