Sean should take what remains of his dignity and honor and gtfo of 45’s shit show before he it comes to the point that no one of any kind of decency will hire him. The first time the deplorable one demanded that he lie should have shown him all that he needed to know.

What a miserable excuse for a human being, just horrible to contemplate the fact that people *actually* voted for him — and the rest of us are having to live through this horror.

      Here’s one reply to @PeteSouza:

The Trumps have jumped the shark from sociopath to psychopath. Not only does Dolt45 demand loyalty, but the test of it seems to be if people remain loyal after being abused and humiliated by Trump. The idea of decent treatment to generate loyalty is not only a foreign concept to him, but actually loathsome. Hideous excuse for a human being.

I have not been able to be totally involved in this election. I have done much on the sidelines. I like Quist and think he will be a good Representative, but he is also a Bernie guy. Bernie came here and held some rallies. I couldn’t go. I hope people who haven’t voted yet will see what kind of person Gianforte is and vote for Quist. We’ll see tomorrow.

          GE MTM.

I can’t wrap my head around what an awful Tea Party candidate Gianforte is — I understand that Montanans would prefer the government leave them alone, that the DC politicians and pundits are pinheads — but Gianforte is such a white supremacist creationist, you’d think independent Montanans would consider that one crazy person running DC is enough — that they’d use their votes as a counterweight to the jackbooted, autocratic, plutocrat occupying the Oval Office now.

You have to know there are so many racist here. Also I am told often how the liberals only give things away. , etc. I have to walk a very fine line here. Even last fall the people choose a democratic governor over Gianforte but they then voted for Trump and Zinke. I can talk here about it but at all the places I work I keep quiet so far. It’s very frustrating. Also many of the Dems here are very far left. Bernie people. Obama never did enough.

Very disappointed to hear about the racism in Montana — I’ve been there a few times, and never felt like someone really wanted to tell me to “go back to where you came from” (as a Japanese-American).

I understand Montanan’s libertarian leanings — like I said, they just want the government not to intrude on their business — my father had a similar independent streak, and one of the primary factors of buying the house they did was that it was outside the city limits — country regulations being less strict/intrusive than city regs.

And yeah, it’s tough to go along with the dudebros that think Bernie Sanders knows what he’s talking about (especially because he and Jill Stein were a big factor in FUBAR president’s electoral college win in November).

                May 24, 2017 at 11:52 pm

I will say most of the people here are good folk, but they think they want the government out of their lives. The people here are really very friendly and are diverse, but we have the extremes on both sides. I love it here this is my home, but I live in Missoula and we are pretty liberal here. Montana state do tend to be independent, we don’t seem to want one party to be in charge of everything.

This situation with Gianforte I believe will test Montanas character. I have faith, but I am also unsure. We will see what tomorrow brings.

I feel like putting my arms around all of them, especially Caroline. I am only a few years older than she, but I well remember the days when we lost her father, her uncle and her brother. I think of her sometimes, knowing that even though she has so many cousins, she has no one of her nuclear birth family left and that that must be lonely at times. She and Edward have moved forward, doing the best that they can to help their children to form a connection with absent family.

BEN JACOBS who was body-slammed today by MT candidate GIANFORTE– Had an article in the ‘Guardian’ on April 28 2017:
“GOP Candidate Has Financial Ties To US-Sanctioned Russian Companies.”

    • May 24, 2017 at 10:36 pm

Candidate Greg Gianforte owns shares in Russian index funds and holdings in Gazprom and Rosneft.
Gianforte held on to Russian investments even after Putin invaded Ukraine and after Russia was known to have hacked the presidential election. Apparently Gianforte said nothing throughout his failed run for governor in 2016.

        GE BRP.

Just posted a tweet from the Guardian newspaper upthread with a link to this article (in response to MTM).

I saw that article last month, but seemed unlikely that Gianforte was part of 3Kremlingate, so I pretty much ignored the info at the time. His views on white supremacy and creationism is far more worrying to me now (but heck, I’m probably wrong, his Russian ties may be far deeper than owning stock in Russian companies).

      • May 24, 2017 at 11:17 pm

Hi Arapaho, so agree. Gianforte’s views would bring more Trump bigotry and obstruction to Congress.
Also wondering if this is the tip of the iceberg for GOP elected officials regarding Rosneft and Gazprom investments.

“…At that point, Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him. Cars.com, Casper, and several others on Wednesday pulled advertising from Sean Hannity’s Fox News program in light of his pushing a conspiracy theory about the homicide of a staffer for the Democratic National Committee.

Hannity peddled a theory that Seth Rich’s killing was ordered by the Clintons in retaliation for leaking DNC emails to WikiLeaks. Police have said Rich’s death was the result of a robbery gone wrong.

“Cars.com’s media buy strategies are designed to reach as many consumers as possible across a wide spectrum of media channels,” a spokesperson said in a statement to BuzzFeed News when asked about Hannity’s pushing the conspiracy theory.

“The fact that we advertise on a particular program doesn’t mean that we agree or disagree, or support or oppose, the content. We don’t have the ability to influence content at the time we make our advertising purchase. In this case, we’ve been watching closely and have recently made the decision to pull our advertising from Hannity,” the company added.

After learning its commercials ran on Hannity’s show, Crowne Plaza Hotels said it terminated its relationship with its third-party ad-buying agency.

“We do not advertise on Fox News, Hannity or any political commentary show. We have a specific do not advertise list for this type of programming. Unfortunately, our expectation to adhere to this list was not met by a third-party agency. Since we learned of the airings, we addressed the issue immediately and terminated our relationship with the agency. We have no plans to advertise on Fox News for the foreseeable future,” the company explained.

Ring, a video doorbell company, and Peloton, a cycling studio, announced that they had directed their media agencies to stop advertising on the show.

Mattress companies Casper and Leesa Sleep also said on Wednesday that they had pulled its buys from the show. Casper said it was “reassigning the allocation.

TRUMP IS A DANGER TO THE WORLD: DER SPIEGEL
By Press TV on May 19, 2017

America considering blocking Trump’s return after his current trip…if only…

US President Donald Trump is a danger to the world who must be removed from the White House before things get even worse, German news magazine Der Spiegel has argued. …

The Der Spiegel editorial called Trump a “miserable” person. “He fired the FBI director simply because he could. James Comey had gotten under his skin with his investigation into Trump’s confidants. Comey had also refused to swear loyalty and fealty to Trump and to abandon the investigation. He had to go.” …

“He doesn’t read. He doesn’t bother to peruse important files and intelligence reports and knows little about the issues that he has identified as his priorities. His decisions are capricious and they are delivered in the form of tyrannical decrees,” it added.

… Last month, a group of American psychiatrists warned that Trump has a “dangerous mental illness” and is unfit to lead the country.

Over thirty mental health experts noted that Trump was “paranoid and delusional” and that they were responsible for warning Americans about the “dangers” Trump poses. …

“We have an ethical responsibility to warn the public about Donald Trump’s dangerous mental illness,” they said.

After reading this The Obama Diary post, and then watching the Obama/Merkel video that was so kindly posted one thing that brings tears to the edges of my eyes is the generous moderation and contributions that so many have made to keep the lights on in this sanctuary of Obama people. I cannot express in words my gratitude and sense of awe that we are still going. Thank you particularly, Nerdy, but everyone else as well. This is a place of hope and that will not be dimmed no matter the current challenges. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

The women – young and old – smiling in this picture and supporting the horrors of trump is, in some ways worse than the T shirt. Then again, why are women supposed to be the upholders of a compassionate society?

Looking at these pictures of President Obama and the crowds, and him with Angela Merkel…..I’m thinking, that though he may not be president of the United States, he IS leader of the free world. That position is due to his moral leadership, not elected position. djt will never have that honor and title, puny, pitiful little man that he is.

I certainly don’t intend to actually hear trump’s voice at this event, but the optics are funny, here and there (if that nutjob weren’t representing us, that is). When they all walked to the stage, looked as though Merkel and Macron placed themselves at the end of the line, the farthest point from where trump was walking, while he was looking bored, looking like he had to go potty, looking awkward and dumb.

He always looks awful and dumb – smart people always find the farthermost point from where he is – as Comey learnt to his peril – the latter should have hid in the curtains.

There are so many times when he’s just staring off into deep space, looking lost and confused. AND STUPID garbage coming out of his ugly mouth. UGH, I just can’t believe our great nation is in this horrific nightmare.

I just heard a few words and I had to stop the video. Trump is the most disgusting ugly mess. UGH UGH UGH

    Good Morning TODVille.
    ————
Britain has suspended intelligence sharing on the Manchester bombing with the US after American officials leaked information to the media, an issue that British Prime Minister Theresa May will raise with US President Donald Trump later Thursday.

US officials released the suspected bomber’s name and other details of the investigation into the deadly attack at the Manchester Arena Monday night, irking British investigators scrambling to keep details of the probe confidential.

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said that only intelligence relating to this particular probe had been suspended, adding that “we quite frankly can’t afford to risk it any more.”
    —————-

I wish Britain could suspend the WH, period.

Did Trump just shove another NATO leader to be in the front of the group?

I liked Sienna. Adored the medieval artwork. My one trip to Europe, and I ended up spending a lot of time in Italy because I fell in love with the art.
