JER, I know. I have always loved that about her, she wore what she liked, that’s what we all do. Except we don’t have the world judging us, just some family and friends every now and then.

She looked gorgeous; as she walked one of the straps slipped down her arm, no big deal. She is a private citizen and after more than 8 years of folks in her business, she can and should do as she pleases. It was so cute that twice in the article they just referred to Barack as her husband! The Italians are charmed by her and by her style.

My prayers and thoughts are with all those killed and injured in Manchester. My friend’s daughter and her mate were there, thankfully they are safe but my heart breaks for all the innocent lives lost.

$360 billion in deals – so Saudis want Trump to rescind 9/11 lawsuit law:
“Saudi officials have been quietly lobbying the administration and Congress to overturn the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act,
which led more than 800 families to file suit in New York in March. The problem: Trump supported the bill and can’t do much to change it even if he wanted to. (http://www.rawstory.com/2017/05/saudis-gave-the-us-360-billion-in-deals-now-they-want-trump-to-rescind-911-lawsuit-law/)

…sharp increase in biological activity including moss growth which has increased nearly *five-fold*.

If even minimal warming continues, scientists believe the soil will continue to change leading to major landscape and biology changes in the icy region.

Emoluments???? If property sells for ~36% more than what he paid for it, I doubt that it’s because the property has appreciated *that* much. I wonder what the market is for surrounding properties. Timing? Trying to offload before he’s out the door?

This is the same company where 45 announced that he had *saved* jobs!!!!

In a letter released today, the Carrier corporation announced it was firing 632 workers from its factory in Indianapolis and moving those jobs to Monterrey, Mexico, by the end of 2017.

Trump vowed to save all the jobs at Carrier, as well as at another Indianapolis factory, Rexnord, that announced last year that it was also moving 300 jobs to Monterrey. Bashing Carrier helped propel Trump to an upset victory.

On December 1, President-elect Trump swept into Indianapolis and triumphantly announced that he struck a deal with Carrier’s parent company, UTC, to save “over 1,100” jobs. Trump claimed too that was the “minimum number” of jobs being saved and the number of workers would “go up very substantially as they expand this area, this plant.”

Robert James, who works at Carrier’s Indianapolis plant and will become USW 1999 president in June, says the job losses are “devastating.” James says the mood among workers today is one of “closure.” But, “It’s going to be hard for them. You don’t replace jobs paying $25 an hour, like at Carrier and Rexnord.

James says, “I don’t think the president is going to be of any help to the workers. Things he’s proposing like healthcare are going to hurt them and their families. I don’t think Trump cares about workers.”

He adds, “If he really wanted to help workers, why doesn’t he start with bringing his own jobs back to the United States? His daughter and son-in-law all got jobs overseas where they pay people $60 a week or less. It’s a tragedy where all these companies go overseas and abuse people.”

Roger Moore, the handsome English actor who appeared in seven films as James Bond and as Simon Templar on “The Saint” TV series, has died in Switzerland after a short battle with cancer. He was 89.

His family issued an announcement that was read by Sky News: “It is with a heavy heart that we must announce our loving father Sir Roger Moore has passed away in Switzerland after a short but brave battle with cancer.”

So sad to hear about Roger Moore did not know he was almost 90yrs old. The first Bond still alive Sean Connery is only 84yrs old. Roger Moore portrayed James Bond the longest. May he rest in peace.

The White House is expected to back down from its proposal to virtually eliminate funding for the federal drug control office amid a nationwide opioid epidemic, officials familiar with the Trump’s administration’s budget told POLITICO.

The administration was originally eyeing a 95 percent cut to the Office of National Drug Control Policy, POLITICO first reported earlier this month. The cut would have essentially halved the staff at the office overseeing the nation’s response to the opioid epidemic while slashing two major grant programs.

But after facing pressure from Republican and Democratic lawmakers — especially those in states ravaged by the opioid epidemic — the White House will propose just small reductions to those grant programs. The White House proposal, which will be released today, will give the office’s drug-free communities program $92 million, down from $95 million this year, according to a Senate aide familiar with the proposal. The high-intensity drug trafficking program will get $244 million, down from $250 million,

“Mueller cleared by Justice Dept. ethics officials to oversee the Russia investigation”

Justice Department ethics experts have concluded that newly appointed special counsel Robert S. Mueller III can oversee the investigation into possible coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin during the 2016 presidential election — even though his former law firm represents several people who could be caught up in the matter, authorities announced Tuesday.

In an email, Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said ethics officials had reviewed the case and “determined that Mr. Mueller’s participation in the matters assigned to him is appropriate.”
