    Quite seriously she knows the truth ….

    Our National Security could not be more compromised, so the only hope is that the facts become as widely known, as quickly as possible.

    It’s then up to us to participate in ensuring justice is served.

      Feinstein was my mayor for 10 years. She took office when our Mayor Moscone and Harvey Milk were assassinated in their offices. She has seen a LOT. Her face in this photo says everything.

      We are in trouble when we have to get our news, in this case in the form of photos, from the Russians while we are investigating them and firing the head of the FBI. If these photos contained Obama’s image this would have been evidence of treason.

    Keith Olberman lays it out. Trump must be impeached and driven out of the White House, NOW. “You cannot fire the man who is investigating you.”

    • May 11, 2017 at 1:23 am

      You cannot fire the man who is investigating you.
      “Donald Trump has declared war on the legal system, moved to overrule the spirit of the Constitution, and enacted a coup against the ideals of the United States of America. And at this hour one of two things is already and irretrievably underway, either the end of Trump or the end of Am democracy because both cannot continue. Because simply you cannot fire the man who is investigating you.”
      Thanks Keith for your excellent work.

    Too much talk and too little action. If Hillary or Barack had done only one of the many things that 45 has done or tried to do, either would be in jail now and laws rushed through to close the loopholes that allow much of these things to happen. Repubs. and the msm know even more than the rest of us what a disaster this is, but they are all more concerned with their positions and ego. It is all a game to them because they are not the ones who are most affected by the criminals and traitors’ actions.

    Comey’s Gone Home
    McLean, Virginia—Former FBI Director James Comey walks at his home on May 10. President Donald Trump fired him the day before, ousting the nation’s top law enforcement official in the midst of an investigation into whether Trump’s campaign had ties to Russia’s election meddling.

      To have one of his personal lackeys deliver that letter, and to do so while Comey was out of town, shows breath-taking such scorn and disrespect, and cowardice. These maggots, infesting the carcass of the body politic, must be destroyed. They are building up a karmic debt that will bring about a destruction even greater than our imaginations.

        He was crazy – and certainly mean & obviously corrupt before they stupidly helped make him President. They knew exactly the mess they were putting on the American people. They are complicit- especially Congressional Republicans. But also the fools that went to his rallies and yelled lock her up.. and said/did racist awful things., and the idiot media who followed him around and wallowed in his smarmy malarkey. They all knew, because I knew and a whole slew of the majority of us knew and that is why we didn’t vote for his crazy loony ass to run our country. I am so past fed up. I am ready to put him on trial my damn self.

          That about covers it all sherijr – the media who listened to him lie non stop on the campaign – who were locked into a pen – are now amazed that “the President lies” and they were barred from his meeting with the friends of Putin. They went along with it – it has taken a bucketful of lies and his anger at the FBI for the media to suddenly remember why they exist.

    I don’t know if anyone of you has had a chance to watch Maddow and Lawrence tonight;

    If you have not, you may consider tuning in or might look up the video.

    Reason for my recommendation is that it seems that the leaks in DC about Russian scandal is not just leaking but it is flowing.

    people are either positioning themselves for history …… or trying to avoid getting subpoenaed ….. or just out with their knives for each other;

    for instance, Washington Post story is quoting 30 different sources (some from within the WH) that are describing motivation of Comey firing which contradicts the original story that was given yesterday;

    Wall Street Journal is breaking additional info;

    it seems everyone is breaking some bit of the story.

    tomorrow, the demagogue will be in full crisis tweeting out all kinds of bizarre stuff;

    if you have a stomach for it, please check it out;

    Hello? WHY did Trumputin bar U.S. photographers and reporters from the Lavrov meeting? Meanwhile his preferred Russian State press got to bring cameras (and whatever spyware they could manage). White House explanation: Putin requested Lavrov be invited during the phone call this week. Did Putin also ask for U.S. press to be barred? What else did Putin ask for? What the fuck did Trumputin do for anybody else today?

    • May 11, 2017 at 1:48 am

      “Lavrov was right where he has always wanted to be Wednesday: mocking the United States while being welcomed in the Oval Office by the president himself…For Lavrov, just having this meeting and the photo-op itself is a big demonstration to the world and to the Russian people that Russia is back, and that isolation has failed, irrespective of whether anything gets agreed,” (Vershbow)
      Lavrov’s ““two objectives were always the same: Veto things for the greater glory of Russia and to take the Americans down wherever possible.” (Bush official)
      What else has Trump agreed do for Putin/Lavrov/Kislyak?

    • May 11, 2017 at 2:15 am

      Putin hacked our election. And this is how Trumputin rewards him.

    MINI-RANT ALERT:
    What’s with Peter Daou and his Twitter odes to Trump’s “uncanny political skills” lately? I mean, dude common… Trump’s behavior is so transparent and predictable. The only reason he seemingly gets by the GOP & media is because deep down, their interests and agenda to destroy PBO’s legacy and perpetuate inequities in the country is aligned with his. Sure they may differ at times as to the precise approach or who suffers the collateral damage, but by and large, if the end justifies the means, then they’re all on board.

    REALITY: If the GOP & media were controlled by any other group but conservative white males, Trump would not be any where near the oval office!!! Peter Daou needs to stop ascribing qualities to Trump that he does not, never had and never will have.

    Stay safe TODers – lovely to see PBO doing all good things

    Sooner than expected the man in the white house (week days only) did something really really stupid.

    Morning Ho is coming apart at the seams
    Trump lies!
    Pence lies!
    The administration staff lie!
    Suddenly people are lying, rather than mis-speaking BUT

    They are bringing down my beloved republican congress
    And – not to mention it but ex presidents get $5m per speech
    This morning ahole will never change – even if trump ends up impeached or in prison he will still love the republicans and attack PBO.

    Anyone sane working for this administration should be sending out their resume. I think trump will resign. As his multiple bankruptcies show – when the going gets tough – trump walks away.

    I’ll believe the media has changed when they talk about the GOP congress in the same way they are now talking about the president & his pals.

    45 must be having a cow because instead of the Trump/Russia discussion going away, it’s actually increased and most are outright saying that 45 and company are LYIN’!!! But when you react to situations like a 5-year-old, have skin so thin that you obsess over the things said about you, when you say anything that pops into your head — unfiltered, and when you lie about things that can be verified, that’s what you get.

    You did this!

    • May 11, 2017 at 11:12 am

      The Dicktraitors allowed a slew of Russian State Press into the Oval Office. Took photos – but the WH was “tricked”?
      The whole point was to legitimize Lavrov and Kislyak not just to themselves, but to the Russian public.

  38. May 11, 2017 at 9:03 am

    More proof of what Comey firing was *really* about.

    • May 11, 2017 at 9:05 am

      But in contrast to the White House’s assertion that Rosenstein was the catalyst for Comey’s ouster, the Washington Post reports that Trump met with Sessions and Rosenstein on Monday and directed this attorney general and deputy attorney general to make a case against Comey for him.

      According to the Post, when the White House narrative on Tuesday suggested Rosenstein was the impetus behind the president’s move, Rosenstein threatened to quit. Wednesday, the administration altered its timeline of Trump’s decision, but continued to cite Rosenstein’s role in Comey’s dismissal.

    ALL of this should happen!

    http://washingtonmonthly.com/2017/05/10/president-trump-just-crippled-his-legislative-agenda/

    Writing in the Washington Post, James Hohmann makes a rather obvious point about the fallout from President Trump’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey.

    Another significant repercussion: Every piece of Trump’s agenda just became harder to get through Congress. Democrats will be less inclined than ever to work with this president, and the liberal base will become even less tolerant of red state incumbents collaborating with him. It’s going to be really hard to get to 60 votes for anything Trump wants for a while.

    Also noted in that article is the fact that the Senate Intelligence Committee has requested financial records on Trump and Trump associates from the Treasury Department and that the Ranking Member of that committee, Democrat Mark Warner of Virginia, plans on holding up all Trump nominees until he’s gets the information he seeks. That should be lumped together with the Senate Democrats’ decision this morning to invoke the two-hour rule to curtail the majority’s ability to hold committee hearings.

    Senate committee business shut down by noon Wednesday after Democrats invoked the two-hour rule, which prevents committee hearings from lasting more than two hours after the Senate convenes.

    Which, of course, is probably a precursor for this:

    The boldest, most extreme step Democrats could take is to slow Senate business to a crawl. They could refuse to allow consideration of any legislation or nominees awaiting confirmation votes until Trump agrees to appoint a special prosecutor. And with dozens of Trump administration nominees awaiting confirmation hearings or up-or-down votes on the Senate floor, such a move would likely hamper executive branch agencies that now lack political leadership.
