Truth is I’m here more often than not, however I often honestly can not think of anything worthwhile to say given the erosion going on before my eyes. So while I wait for the brakes to be applied I mostly watch and say nothing. I haven’t ever seen such unrelenting and mean dismantling, day after day in government and would never have thought it could be so blatant and seemingly unstoppable …. in the US. In short, Jojo, I’m still in shock.
Me too vc…me too. All of us at TOD and true Democrats are just besides ourselves with daily chaos. There is no rest from evil in our government.

Hi, Sam…just woke this morning to see your reply. I hate them all. Truly I do. They have no redeeming qualities and they are truly void of a soul. They have no respect for life. That is a lie. I have been so upset ever since Trump won the Presidency that I am currently in process of moving from my independent home next door to my Trump supporting Brother to live in a different state in a basement MIL apartment with my youngest planning to help take care of my two year old and two month old grandchildren. It is saying a lot that I am willing to give up my independence to be with Democratic family voters over family Trump supporters. I feel like this must be similar to what it was like during the Civil War when families were torn apart.

That’s all happening because the GOP is committed to rolling back the taxes that pay for the Affordable Care Act, delivering a financial windfall to high-income families even though Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin swore at his confirmation hearings that the Trump administration would not pursue tax cuts for the rich.
The bill is currently being rushed through the House at breathtaking speed with no time for a Congressional Budget Office score or for members to hear from constituents back home. Republicans are acting like their plan cannot survive even cursory scrutiny by experts or the public for the good reason that their own rhetoric strongly suggests that they do not believe the public would find this legislation acceptable if they knew what it did.

Seems that now there’s a disconnect between capitalism (marketing) and MSM.
Since I got rid of my television, don’t know the ads appearing on TV now, but a good percentage of the ads I see on the one show I watch online via NBC’s website and on Microsoft Window’s “promoted” news feed (aka commercials) feature multi-racial people (not just white people).
Seems like MSM haven’t gotten the message, since their thought-pieces mostly seem to hinge on the assumption of white as default (aka white supremacy). 😦
