President Trump’s former national security adviser did not properly disclose payments from Russia and does not appear to have complied with the law, House oversight leaders said Tuesday after reviewing Michael Flynn’s application for a security clearance.
“As a former military officer, you simply cannot take money from Russia, Turkey or anybody else. And it appears as if he did take that money. It was inappropriate. And there are repercussions for the violation of law,” House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz said.
The news comes after the White House declined to provide documents related to Flynn that the panel investigating him had requested, according to a letter obtained by CNN.
A White House aide disputed that the White House was withholding anything from the committee, saying they could not provide documents they do not have access to. The aide said that they directed oversight investigators to the appropriate agencies.
No officials have accused Flynn of committing any crimes.

I remember so well this trip to France and the trip to the NATO summit. I was glued to my TV set…..he still received full coverage on MSNBC at that time. EVERY leader wanted him to visit, and every leader wanted to be seen shaking his hand and talking with him. The world seemed so full of positive possibilities at that time. Right now I can see the beauty of a parliamentary system, so a new election could be called for…..not that djt would call for it voluntarily, but he could be forced to.

My precious poodle tore her ACL and had to have repair surgery. That necessitated confinement for almost eight weeks…and my worry over her. She is now all I have, and is particularly precious to me. She is recovering nicely, and I am feeling a little more like participating in life. I enjoyed my trip to Spain and Portugal. That was a real retreat from news of the world…..enjoying the sights and food and soaking up all the culture. As anyone who has suffered loss knows……and everyone does…..this “recovery” from loss of a beloved spouse is strange. One week I’ll be doing okay, then something will just kick me in the stomach and I am paralyzed…..then I’ll be okay, then paralyzed again. However, I do read TOD every day and appreciate each one of you. Also, like everyone else I have been grieving the loss of our wonderful PBO. Seeing him in public again, gave me a boost.
About a week before he died, my husband asked me one afternoon : “Is President Obama still president of the United States?” I with joy answered, “Yes he is honey.” He smiled, sighed luxuriously and calmly went to sleep. I think of that often, and am glad that he didn’t see the debacle of djt.
