    Good Thursday, Nerdy…TOD Family!

    Congrats on 1st Don.

    Everyone enjoy your day.

Also, the end of this clip shows that the Patriots gifted PBO a helmet signed by the individual players. 45 was given a blank helmet.

Pete is NOT having it! Shade warrior par excellence!
I saw that lame tweet (probably at the behest of 45) that the patriots sent out about the numbers of the organization present. Even if they were sitting in the audience, it says something that they obviously did not want to be seen there. Everyone clamored to be in photos with PBO. It is also telling that the players signed the helmet that was presented to PBO and there were none on the one given to 45. The Deplorable One knows that he is outclassed and these petulant complaints just make him look like even more of a user than he is already.

Posted this at the end of the last thread…

A South Korean English language newscast mocked President Donald Trump on Thursday for saying that Korea was once “part of China.”

The president made the remark in an interview with the Wall Street Journal published Apr. 12. He said that China’s President Xi Jinping told him at Mar-a-Lago, “Korea actually used to be a part of China.”

One of the things I liked about President Obama is that he took the time to learn and *understand* the facts before responding — in words or in actions.

45 is not only ignorant, but makes it worse by showing his ignorance on the international stage.

WHATEVER the FBI and the IC need to shore of their case against 45 and company, I hope it happens SOON…stop the bleeding that his actions have already inflicted on this country.

Even when he and the ret of his gang are cleared out, we will still bear the shame and the responsibility because 62 million US voters willfully pulled the lever for him and less than 50% of the electorate did not even participate in such a crucial election. We are clearly showing the world that collectively we are all that many of them have said that we were for many years. Eight years of enlightened leadership are not enough to repair the sins of the past and to set a better future;this is the work of a generation or two. Now that more of us see the devastation that can occur when ruthless, ignorant, and greedy people are allowed to steer our ship of state into the shoals, we can get serious about shoring up the holes in our society, laws, and political systems that set the stage for this. All of our ugliness is now in clear view of everyone here and abroad; what are we prepared to do to change the tide? A-A’s and various Latinos (not the privileged Cubans) have tried to tell everyone, but no one believes anything until it happens to them and to those that they love and respect. To paraphrase the poem “They Came for the Jews”:

They came for the African-Americans, but I did not protest because I am not Black and they have served their purpose.
They came for the Japanese-Americans and I did not protest because I am not Japanese-American and I am a patriot.
They came for the immigrants and I did not protest because my people immigrated several generations back.
They came for Muslims and I did not protest because I am not a Muslim and this is a Christian nation.
They came for the Indian-Americans and I did not protest because I am not Indian and they are taking our tech jobs.
They came for the Sikhs and I did not protest because I am not a Sikh and I fear what I do not understand.
They came for the women who spoke out and demanded better treatment and equality and I d id not speak out because I am not a woman and because I am a woman who believes in patriarchy.
They came for working class white males and we were so blind with hate and animus that we voted for our own destruction and there was no one left to protest.

I see that the DNC will continue to be even more irrelevant. Women, we are on our own and we can and will get it done. The resistance began with women, women-led grass root efforts have plans, strategy, and an understanding of what is at cost. Perez, Ellison, and the Trump-lite Bernie need to get a clue and to get out of the way.

    • 32 Don
      April 20, 2017 at 12:57 pm

Spot on, it seems as though the DNC is more concerned about the white working class than any other group. Its almost to the point that it is becoming ridiculous. You would think that Perez would know better than to hitch his wagon to Ellison and Bernie “Che” Sanders.

      • April 20, 2017 at 1:18 pm

I was really rooting for Perez but he’s has disappointed me beyond words. Right out of the gate, very stupid decisions based on I don’t know what. Just completely fried by the undermining of our party.

        • 34 CEB
          April 20, 2017 at 1:52 pm

The good thing is that the life, breath, and heart of the democratic party is in the various grass roots organizations. We need many voices going at it in different situations to meet the needs of the country, not just a party. Decentralization is healthy and more effective at this moment because individuals are more invested and taking ownership of the political process. The old ways of doing things were on life support when PBO entered the picture as an outsider and it is now on fumes. Let the men talk-fight in front of the cameras while the women, who are fighting for our very lives, the lives of our families, communities and of our country, do the real work. We do not need any man’s permission nor endorsement. We focus and fight on until victory is won.

This may sound weird but here it goes. I know there will be times when the U.S. will need to drop a bomb on someone/country. I do not think Trump knows what he is doing in this regard but be that as it may. The bomb the Pentagon drop in Afghanistan was called MOAB. The destruction of the bomb was enough the name of the bomb however I think put a meaning on the assault that stupid Trump did not consider.

For years Obama told the Muslim world that we are not raging war against the Muslim faith. I think the name MOAB put a question mark on that statement because it gives it a religious undertone With that bomb Trump may have help to blow away more than the tunnels and caves he may have blown away some of the diplomatic efforts that have been gained. This is just my opinion. Below is a further definition of MOAB to help better illustrate my point.

“Moab, ancient country on the hill plateau east of the Dead Sea, in what is now Jordan. The Moabites were closely related to the Hebrews and were subject to Israel during the reigns of David and Solomon (11th–10th cent. bc). They later regained their independence but were temporarily reconquered by Omri, king of Israel (r. 876–869 bc). Moab, like neighboring Judah, became tributary to Assyria in the 8th century bc and was conquered by the Babylonians in the 6th century bc. After that the Moabites ceased to exist as a separate people. They are mentioned often in the Bible. King Solomon built an altar to their god Chemosh in Jerusalem. Ruth, the central figure of the Book of Ruth and the great grandmother of King David, was a Moabite.

The Moabite stone, a block of black basalt found near Dibon, Jordan, in 1868, bears an inscription in the Moabite language from about 850 bc, describing a 9th-century bc victory of King Mesha of Moab over the Israelites. The stone is now in the Louvre in Paris.”

    • April 20, 2017 at 4:29 pm

Given the Russian playbook that 45 and the Republicans seem to have followed, beginning even before the campaign until now, Chaffetz’s insistence that he would continue the investigation of Clinton’s emails even if she were elected makes all the more sense now. Question is deep is his involvement and what does Russia have on him? Has he asked for immunity?

I am sorry, but until Ellison retracts his attacks on President Obama and apologizes to him, I will not contribute, even a penny, to the DNC. Any truth in this????

Five days ago we wrote that Russia was holding blackmail material on Jason Chaffetz according to reliable sourcing, and that it was forcing him to do its bidding with regard to Donald Trump (link). The short of it: Russia was forcing Chaffetz to do nothing with regard to Trump. Don’t investigate his Russia scandal. Prevent anyone on his committee from doing the same. And the FBI learned about it.

In that light, it’s not all that difficult to understand why Jason Chaffetz is bailing. From all signs the FBI’s investigation into Trump-Russia has progressed to the point that it’s all going to come out in the wash. The best thing Chaffetz can do is to be as far away from Washington as possible when it does.
