Agree with Mark Ruffalo on this, although not often: President Obama IS beautiful and it’s hard not to look at him when you’re supposed to be concentrating on something else.

Democrats really need to be hammering this news and other news like it all the dang time. This is not something that should be allowed to fade into the background.

        I sooooooooo agree, pkayden!!!

MSM seems to have a short attention span and is too willing to give the benefit of the doubt. For them, any semblance of “being presidential” overshadows all incompetence and pardons all criminal acts… in essence, they move into 45’s alternate universe.

For all of them, these positions are just away for them to get richer. They play their own voters more than the rest of us.

And term limits would make it even worse. They could put in their time for a couple of years, do a lot of damage, and walk into a cushy job so they won’t be there to take the blowback when their evil policies start hurting people.

Only thing (don’t-look-me-in-the-eye-because-I-am-guilty-as-hell) Tillerson knows is oil deals and here is the outcome of his behind closed doors meetings with Putin. The outcome of deals with TrumpRussia will decide the survival of our planet.
DONALD TRUMP: Treason, dictatorship, climate denial, personal profits over people.
What more do we need at this point to get Trumputin out?
      An effing red carpet?

      • April 19, 2017 at 4:55 pm

Trump and his O & G/Russian relatives and related in the White House are there to make Putin into a trillionaire and anyone else who bought shares (the 19.5% purchase) extremely rich. By firing Preet and the attorneys for example, Trump seeks to immunize himself.
He is in bed with Russia, he is in bed with Russia, he has been in bed with Russia for decades. He is up there doing secret deals in Mar a Lago and the WH with no records of comings and goings. He is replete with distractions like unauthorized war using bombs that he is invested in — however lifting sanctions and denying climate change is the whole purpo$e of his sorry existence.
How long are we going to play dumb sitting ducks?

First thing I saw in our news this am. “White House denies being misleading about US carrier strike”

The fool thinks he is Sir Francis Drake – have a short vacation on the barrier reef before turning around to blow up the enemy.

He lies, (well he just says the first thing that comes to mind, which is probably worse than lying) if South Korea didn’t realise that before, they do now.

  23. April 19, 2017 at 5:44 pm

Before I start dinner. I heard a lengthy interview last night on Brian William’s show. Do not remember name, but someone who had been talking to “insiders” at Fox. Here’s what he said: A long list of advertisers has told Fox that it’s not just O’Reilly. It’s all of FOX. The advertisers are getting very leery about the whole culture there, the message it sends for their company if they keep advertising on FOX. IOW, the message is “Clean up your act or else we will leave you.” Time will tell how serious these companies are. Let’s wait and see if more things change there……….I’m not optimistic. The culture is too long and deeply ingrained, I think. 😦

    • April 19, 2017 at 5:55 pm

Ya know…. I think it’s because it was one thing when it seemed it was just catering to the ignorant, retirees/unemployed poor people who stay at home, and are easily manipulated… but when it is discovered they’re a network largely acting as a Russian asset to overthrow the US GOV, it’s something else entirely.

Also – never forget the largest consumer group is WOMEN 35 – 70. Not a group you want to alienate and drive away because it’s bad for business.

It is really ridiculous how much I am in love with the Obama family. I am so filled with gratitude for all that they have done for us and the manner in which they did it, and I always light up when I see photos of them or learn more about their lives. So happy that they are thriving and happy away from the stress of political life and being in a fishbowl. I hope that all of their dreams for themselves individually and for their family all come true.

It appears that come summer, 45 is planning to shift some of the cash flow from his Mar-a-Lago resort to his Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Trump has faced calls from the left – and even the right – to conduct business at the White House, as opposed to pilfering millions of dollars in government funds to travel every weekend.

Unlike West Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump’s travel typically racked up bills upwards of $3 million per visit, Bedminster is a small, rural, and less-affluent town that will inevitably struggle to pay for all of the security and other costs associated with frequent Presidential visits.

Trump’s presence will also ground the area’s private planes.

Trump is on track to spend more on travel this year alone than Obama spent over the course of his entire eight years in office.

Until Republicans start putting country over party, Trump will continue to exploit our taxpayer dollars to fund his lavish lifestyle. The same man who vowed to eliminate wasteful spending is on pace to wastefully spend the most money in the shortest amount of time of any President in American history.

And just a reminder that the Iran Deal was signed by P5 + 1, so no easy amendments.
(China, France, Russia, UK, US + Germany)

      • April 19, 2017 at 10:29 pm

Such a brilliant accomplishment — considered impossible after such a long silence between the U.S.A. and Iran. (1979) Also stunning were PBO’s series of nuclear summits…last year he hosted 50 world leaders. Worked for decades on nuclear non-proliferation and since his speech in Prague – 13 countries have eliminated their stockpiles of uranium and changed their approach. In that remarkable speech PBO spoke about engaging with Iran ‘based on mutual interests and mutual respect”. Iran relinquished 98% of its stockpile of enriched uranium and agreed to the toughest verification and oversight process in history. Now Rouhani says he won’t allow Trump to undo the deal. Remembering he said something like ‘It would be like undoing the thread of a cotton shirt’.

        • April 19, 2017 at 10:38 pm

It remains a very remarkable and brilliant feat, accomplished by no less than the amazing minds of PBO, SOS Kerry and SOE Moniz and their teams, working hours and days on end. I remember the very long, excruciating negotiations, waiting for a breakthrough, a give and take, any progress forward, TICK TOCK. And then one day, there it was, a fully formed and airtight agreement, signed and sealed. That this horrendous GOP thought they could destroy it has pained me. But – NOT THIS TIME.

    Morning everyone. Beware.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Dow Chemical is pushing the Trump administration to scrap the findings of federal scientists who point to a family of widely used pesticides as harmful to about 1,800 critically threatened or endangered species.

Lawyers representing Dow, whose CEO also heads a White House manufacturing working group, and two other makers of organophosphates sent letters last week to the heads of three Cabinet agencies. The companies asked them “to set aside” the results of government studies the companies contend are fundamentally flawed.

The letters, dated April 13, were obtained by The Associated Press.

Dow Chemical chairman and CEO Andrew Liveris is a close adviser to President Donald Trump. The company wrote a $1 million check to help underwrite Trump’s inaugural festivities.

Over the last four years, government scientists have compiled an official record running more than 10,000 pages showing the three pesticides under review — chlorpyrifos, diazinon and malathion — pose a risk to nearly every endangered species they studied. Regulators at the three federal agencies, which share responsibilities for enforcing the Endangered Species Act, are close to issuing findings expected to result in new limits on how and where the highly toxic pesticides can be used.

The industry’s request comes after EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt announced last month he was reversing an Obama-era effort to bar the use of Dow’s chlorpyrifos pesticide on food after recent peer-reviewed studies found that even tiny levels of exposure could hinder the development of children’s brains. In his prior job as Oklahoma’s attorney general, Pruitt often aligned himself in legal disputes with the interests of executives and corporations who supported his state campaigns. He filed more than one dozen lawsuits seeking to overturn some of the same regulations he is now charged with enforcing.

1/3 of people 18-34 are still living with their parents, and a huge chunk of those aren’t working or in school.

We all know a lot of people in this situation. The ones I know couldn’t care less about taking care of themselves, being independent and responsible. Even those who work prefer to live with Mom so they can do what they want with their money.

A South Korean English language newscast mocked President Donald Trump on Thursday for saying that Korea was once “part of China.”

The president made the remark in an interview with the Wall Street Journal published Apr. 12. He said that China’s President Xi Jinping told him at Mar-a-Lago, “Korea actually used to be a part of China.”

Meta, I’m not sure if you get old messages, but I am glad you brought this to my attention. I just moved into Mr. Ellison’s district and just wrote him a lengthy love letter. If he wants my support and vote then he will need to re-think this attitude. Funny how he doesn’t have anything to say about saint sanders and the purity ponies who sat out those said elections….

      • April 20, 2017 at 12:20 pm

I’m so sick of the deep divide these guys are creating in our party, constantly undermining every bit of progress we make, perpetuating myths that Sanders was cheated out of the nomination, yada yada yada. I could go on but you already know what I’m talking about.

I was really pulling for Perez but he has completely disappointed me. His first move was to bring on Ellison and Sanders, both proven to go about PBO countless times and couldn’t support HRC strongly after the nom. And now, still grinding an axe when we have a lunatic in the WH. There are so many other talented DEMOCRATS to choose from……!!!!
        I’m just thoroughly disgusted.
