Beautiful wonderful memories of good people doing good things in the world. They are still here. I am holding on to these truths and the goodness they gave us. Thankful for this haven.

      Hi Nancie, long-time-no-see! 🙂

Easter greetings to everyone! It feels great to remember that we are blessed to have had these lovely Easter (egg roll) memories from the Obama Administration.

Hello Ms NerdyW; hope you have been having a good Easter weekend!

PBO is every good thing through and through. Extremely rare and hard to face if you’re a conscience-free killer posing as a politician/president. Such as “my proudest evil moment” McConnell, KKK Sessions and Celebrity Trexit.

Wagering PBO will have more bystanders waving along the route than attended the faux ‘inauguration’ in January. ❤️🙏🏻🌹

I’m not surprised at all:) I expect that he will bring an even larger crowd than originally anticipated, and I suspect that the family has asked PBO to offer a few words on his relationship with Mr. Rooney, as well as his success as an Ambassador. Since FLOTUS had a relationship with the Rooney’s too, I do hope that she’ll attend with him. Fingers crossed.

        They’re clueless.

Why is the VP over there in the first place? Because SoS ‘Tex Drillerson’ has no fcuking idea what he’s doing. Trump only appointed him to broker oil deals with Russia.

To drive Republicans into a frenzy, I would like to put together a slate of a potential Democratic Presidential Candidate and cabinet, etc. for the 2020 election:

Let me start with Presidential Candidate Warren Buffett. Why not? He should NEVER release his tax returns. Why should he?
He should spend most of his presidency in Omaha.

His running mate should be: Joe Biden

He should be sure to place his children in the White House as senior advisors with all necessary clearances, and offices.

He should announce that during his presidency his first two nominations to Supreme Court would be Barack Obama, and then Hillary Clinton.

Possible Cabinet spots: Secretary of State – Susan Rice
    Attorney General – Merrick Garland
Secretary of Education – Michelle Obama
    Secretary of Defense –
    Secretary to the Treasury –
    Secretary of the Interior –
    Secretary of Agriculture –
    Secretary of Labor –
    Secretary of HHS –
    Secretary of HUD –
    Secretary of Transportation –
    Secretary of Energy –
Secretary of VA – Jill Biden
    Secretary of Homeland Security –

I could use some suggestions on who might be best for some of these positions? Ideas?

Beginning in 1891, Smithsonian’s National Zoo opened their doors the Monday after the Easter holiday to African American families. Known as Easter Monday, the tradition began as a pseudo-holiday for black domestic workers who had to work on Easter Sunday and were banned from attending the traditional White House Easter Egg Roll during segregation.

Today, the tradition has grown to include all interested families. Activities include an Easter egg hunt, games, and a chance to meet the “Easter Panda.”

The good part of seeing that as a reminder is that President Obama hosted the very same WH egg roll eight times in the 21st century. Took forever for him to get there, but he certainly earned a sacred place in the history books of our country. I love him for considering it “an honor” to serve the American people, such as we are, such as our history has been, and he lived up to that belief every day.

Maybe “one fine day” we’ll also put a woman in the Oval. Not holding my breath. It’s only the 21st century, after all.

Scientists have found live specimens of the rare giant shipworm for the first time in the Philippines.

Details of the creature, which can reach up to 1.55m (5ft) in length and 6cm (2.3in) in diameter, were published in a US science journal.

The giant shipworm spends its life encased in a hard shell, submerged head-down in mud, which it feeds on.

Though its existence has been known for years, no living specimen had been studied until now.

Despite its name it is actually a bivalve, which is the same group as clams and mussels.

So yesterday in my neighborhood, 4 blocks down, a man was shot and killed. Tonight, a young woman was attacked getting into her parked car in front of my house. 4 men in masks attacked her looking for money. Threw her to the ground and ran away. We heard her screaming and ran out. Two nights ago I called police due to the hookers outside.. and of course no police showed up. Tonight we called and no one came, we called again after 20 minutes.. then the victim called again and finally police showed up. We gave them an earful about how this is completely unacceptable that these things are happening and they don’t show up. Finally they took her away- she didn’t want an ambulance but she was in shock and so scared. I will tell you that I chewed out the police captain that came out and we demanded patrols that should have been ongoing anyway.. he, I’ll admit was very cordial and assured us that things would get beefed up. We’ll see.

In The 1920s, A Community Conspired To Kill Native Americans For Their Oil Money
    April 17, 20174:44 AM ET
    Heard on Morning Edition

Generations ago, the American Indian Osage tribe was compelled to move. Not for the first time, white settlers pushed them off their land in the 1800s. They made their new home in a rocky, infertile area in northeast Oklahoma in hopes that settlers would finally leave them alone.

In his new book, Killers of the Flower Moon, David Grann describes how white people in the area conspired to kill Osage members in order steal their oil wealth, which could only be passed on through inheritance. “This was a culture of complicity,” he says, “and it was allowed to go on for so long because so many people were part of the plot. You had lawmen, you had prosecutors, you had the reporters who wouldn’t cover it. You had oilmen who wouldn’t speak out. You had morticians who would cover up the murders when they buried the body. You had doctors who helped give poison to people.”

I heard this yesterday on NPR and was astonished of this tale of conspiracy and betrayal. The interviewer asked the interviewee if the “white” ancesters know and if they plan to make amends? The interviewee said he doubted if they even know the full history of what happened in Osage and how they were enriched. Another, I was “made this” crowd.
