I was watching an old movie from the 80’s that was hokey but it seems more and more than the villains and heroes in these old movies are identical to the cast that play on our national stage. This one had a man playing Satan that talks about using a new arrival to you know where to try to destroy the good reputation of a man he has tried to influence but he says is “incorruptable”. So he’s found someone that looks just like him and plans to impersonate him and slander him that way. Every old movie seems to present these classic bad guys and they have the traits of the GOP that we see every day. It makes me realize why they have always hated Barack Obama. He’s a good man.

I am so happy it’s Friday even though I’m dealing with a sinus infection 😦 This has not been a good week for me and I’m finally glad to find out what’s been wrong with me. I am hoping the antibiotics start working soon, only just started them last night. I was so bummed I had to miss our Sunday gathering. I’m happy that you’all had such a great time. Lastly, I’m so glad I got to be alive and alert during the presidency of Barack Obama, still the best.president.ever!
This is EXTREMELY good news! All grass roots. These local elections are critical: this is how GOP did it, one small local election at a time. And the seats won were in areas that NEVER elect Dems.
If we have the time, working with local Dem party is the way to go. Your efforts are really compounded because they have such an impact. Every school board, county board, small town: this is how change happens.
My best friend’s husband is County President of their small, rural county in PA. Because of his intelligent leadership, he took a 100% GOP location and turned it 100% blue, even in 2016. He gets things done, he works with people, he found ways to not insult the local GOP but gently bring them to sanity. And in small locations, you can see results. A bridge gets repaired, stop lights go up, library hours are extended. People can see the effects of good government.
I’ve been pretty happy with Perez so far except the credit given BS for this national tour. BS, of course, sent out a fundraising email about the tour, but didn’t mention Perez or the DNC! Again, Dems chasing that idiotic vote of people who still have no conscience over the damage they did.
The party does need to invest in local elections, but it’s hard. It takes a lot of money and careful organization. That being said, this is what the GOP did. It took them 30 years but they got what they wanted. We have to get back municipalities and state legislatures. It’s critically important.
