Sanders is quiet about this…..perhaps instead of bashing DEMs he should address how he had a hand in electing Trump

Surprise, surprise, I am not. I have a had an intuitive idea about this for the past few months, something just wrong with him/them.

Folks are gonna be surprised at Bernie was used by Russians and GOP in 2016 election. That is all.

I was reading that Bernie and trump have much in common wanting to keep running their campaigns to get the cheers from the crowd. Neither has any idea as to what to do when the campaign is over.

    • April 3, 2017 at 11:30 am

Most Saunders supporters came over, maybe reluctantly, to Clinton. Those who didn’t and still haven’t don’t believe this anyway. One group I know of laughs at the idea of Russian interference in the election, but believes whole-heartedly that primaries were rigged. One of the is on my facebook feed from before the election and I see the comments on her posts. The other day she said the only thing she felt after the election was relief. She marches for Planned Parenthood and immigration rights, supports BLM and on and on. The cognitive dissonance involved in this is just mind-boggling. She’s as blind as any poor white person voting for Trump/GOP to make their lives better. When she went on the Women’s March in Ann Arbor she was commenting about how she would try not to insult all the bourgeois women she would be marching with. She is far left, well-read and intelligent, works in a law firm, married, and lives in Ann Arbor – pretty much the definition of bourgeois as far as I can seen. I think she’s lost friends over this because people who used to comment frequently no longer do and she has a new set of friends who are just as bitter and deluded as she is.

Trump is an imminent threat to our planet.
“If not given proper oversight, Trump – who has thus far abused executive power, often getting shot down by judges for unconstitutional initiatives – will be in a position akin to a suspected criminal able to select his own judge or delay his own trial. It is a common tactic of authoritarian leaders facing corruption scandals to attempt to distract the public by engaging in dramatic domestic policy changes or acts of war. Trump has already attempted the former (for reasons beyond merely diverting attention away from Russia) and flirted with the latter in his aggressive rhetoric toward North Korea, China, and in military actions in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.”

Not if impeachment leaves the GOP in power. If the evidence is wide enough and deep enough, and indisputable, that swamp will truly be drained once and for all. Not in the way old lard ass kept ‘promising’.

In the last thread i spoke about a notion that i saw on twitter that sais…instead of focusing on trying to convince haters to stop haters…we should work to convince non-voters to start voting….
these are my thoughts about this…

This would require an entirely different strategy….
As many as 72 million citizens did not vote in the last election. i asked 3 of my coworkers who are younger than me if they had watched the Senate Intelligence Committee hearings…2 did not know what i was speaking about…1 person knew but had not watched…i tread easily when talking about these kind of issues because folks can feel badgered and tune me out…but i think that is partly because they know that they should know…i try to come from the point of view that we are citizens and that we have a responsibility to know and understand what is going on with our government, esp when we may have a Traitor in the WH..

    • April 3, 2017 at 11:47 am

I agree. As the saying goes, “haters gonna hate” and we may get a few after an intense effort, but getting more people to vote is really the key. What is really interesting/confusing to me is that the people who want us to chase angry white voters are also the people who want to push us farther to to left. How do they think getting more angry white people to vote Dem is going to make us more liberal?

U.N. AMBASSADOR NIKKI HALEY SAYS RUSSIA WAS ‘CERTAINLY INVOLVED’ IN 2016 ELECTION

Nikki Haley, … Ambassador to the United Nations, said unequivocally Sunday that she believes Russia was “involved” in the 2016 election.
“Certainly, I think Russia was involved in the election. There’s no question about that,” Haley told ABC News’ Martha Raddatz in an interview on This Week.” And I think when they finish with all of this process, yes, they need to address Russia. They need to act.” …

“Russia, it is sometime said, is a country with an unpredictable past; but Russian governments have worked hard to try to control not only the future but also the past. Now, however, Sergey Shelin says, the Kremlin “no longer controls either the future or the past” – and that leaves Putin “without the two accustomed instruments” for manipulating the people.

Many have pointed out that Putin’s team now doesn’t have “any model for the future” as it heads into the presidential elections, the Rosbalt commentator says. “This is true, but it is far from the whole truth.” The Kremlin has also lost control over the past as well and thus is increasingly unable to hold people in check.”

So, after yet another day of unbelievable chaos, I am of the firm conviction that if these GOP ‘leaders’/’lawmakers’ insist on enabling and condoning the appallingly dangerous events we are all witnessing, if they are so determined to stand behind the SCROTUS in lockstep, knowing it’s all so very wrong, then they can all bloody well go in solidarity and lockstep to prison. No exceptions, no excuses, no pleading ignorance or innocence, no pleading for leniency or mercy, and my sentencing from earlier this week stands applicable to every single one of them.

“…I resigned in 2012 for a variety of reasons, chiefly that the president of the company and I couldn’t persuade Kushner to recapitalise the Observer – even though I reached all my numbers. When the paper had a profitable quarter for what I was told was the first time, Kushner floated the idea of layoffs to increase the margins, seemingly ignoring the fact that staff reductions would also reduce ad inventory by reducing content. A material part of what had been attractive about the job was the promise of expansion and growth. But we submitted business plans over and over again, and Kushner rejected them. He wanted the Observer to be cheaper to run, usually at the expense of growth and evolution, and he could not see the relationship between scale and profit – between risk and reward. (The White House did not answer a request from The Washington Post to provide Kushner’s perspective for this story.)…”
