Rafi Schwartz

In addition to Chance’s $1 million donation, the rapper announced that his Social Works nonprofit organization would donate an additional $10,000 to individual schools for every $100,000 raised through the group.

As he closed his press conference, Chance made it clear what he expected to come out of his massive donation: political action to benefit the children of Chicago’s public school system.

Repeating a message he’s given several times in the past week, Chance addressed Gov. Rauner directly, telling him simply, “Do your job.”

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on Monday began her program with a rundown of the bombshell report linking Donald Trump to corrupt Azerbaijan oligarchs and an Iranian terror group, explaining, “there is a reason we should expect this White House to do everything in his power to keep secret his finances and his business dealings.”

Maddow traced a contract between the small country of Azerbaijan, a “former soviet state run by a dictator,” to a failed Trump Organization building project in Azerbaijan. She explained the history of Azerbaijan’s relationship with Bechtel, a U.S.-based infrastructure company that in 2007 lost out on a bid to build roads in the former Soviet state. She noted the public learned about Bechtel’s failed bid from a website that made significant waves in the 2016 presidential election: the transparency organization, WikiLeaks.

Maddow then turned to the never-opened Trump International Hotel & Tower Baku, a planned building in Azerbaijan that “on the surface makes no financial sense.” The hotel was planned miles away from any other major luxury hotel, with no access to the Caspian Sea.

The MSNBC host explained the Trump family “abandoned this project” a month after Trump’s election, but “not before [Trump] received millions of dollars in that deal”—a deal forged between Trump and billionaire transport minister Mammadov (the same Mammadov that helped the Iranian Revolutionary Guard launder money to terrorist organizations).

Maddow said while U.S. companies are free to do business with any company in the world, they are not free to conduct business if funds originate from companies tied to terrorism. “You have to know,” Maddow explained. “Looking the other way is not a defense.”

“You are expected to do your due diligence,” she added.

        Trump’s proven links to TERRORISM:
and AZERBAIJAN OLIGARCH MAMMADOV is the real news.
“The President helped build a hotel in Azerbaijan that appears to be a corrupt operation engineered by oligarchs tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.”
Adam Davison (New Yorker) spent 3.5 months researching this:

          Keep pissing your pants, Trump.
“Congress and TRUMP AdminIstration have duty too examine whether President or family exposed to terrorist financing, sanctions, money laundering and other imprudent associations through their business holdings and connections.” (Sherrod Brown (D-OH)

62 million actively voted for him knowing his lack of moral character. Several million did protest votes or did not vote at all. Why we are where we are is no mystery. No reason that anyone had was good enough to put this man in the White House. Now, we will all suffer, even the 1 percenters because we all need clean air and water and the devastation of climate change is coming faster than we first thought. 11/8/2017 the beginning of the end or a shock that will cause us to self-correct?

Also, when you’re calling your Reps today about this abomination of a health insurance bill, they might not know how many people in their district have coverage under the ACA. This list from Indivisible lists how many people in each district. have coverage under the ACA.

I know, I woke up thinking how with a $400/plan, and a $75K deductible, all that goes straight into the coffers of people who don’t need the money and who have no right to control medical care in such a manner. For-Profit medicine is inhumane, worse when too many try to subsist on inadequate wage with the elite refusing pay increase. Shame on US ‘lawmakers’, for rampant, established corruption and dereliction of duty.

Sociopath. I work for a Trump wannabe.

I’m a private contractor. He said how worried he was about me and my husband, and that “we are family” if I ever needed anything. And then, after almost nine years with no raise, and never paid one sick day or vacation day, he couldn’t pay me for the week I was out. He’s a Trump wannabe. I didn’t expect him to pay me, but an ounce of decency would have been nice. Understand, I write books and museum panels, do research for his immense collection of stuff for which he is opening a museum. The day after I got my paycheck, he wanted me expertise on buying a clock – I kid you not – for $750,000. One of many in his extravagant collection. I enjoy the research, the writing, and it’s a job. But he’s mini-Trump.

The CIA knows how to hack TVs and phones, and the agency’s cyberweapons have been stolen, a WikiLeaks document dump alleges.

The CIA has become the preeminent hacking operation, spying on people worldwide, according to WikiLeaks’ publication Tuesday of leaked internal documents.

To hide its operations, the CIA routinely adopted hacking techniques that enabled them to appear as if they were hackers in Russia, WikiLeaks said.

But nearly all of the CIA’s arsenal of privacy-crushing cyberweapons have been stolen, WikiLeaks said, and the tools are potentially in the hands of criminals and foreign spies.

        • March 7, 2017 at 6:10 pm

CNN reported on the wikileaks statement. The statement itself is laughable and completely FAKE NEWS. Seriously. The CIA doesn’t need to pretend it’s a a group of hackers or a Russian Click Farm to hide it’s operations. There are better methods of cyber security than creating fake stories and deflection-content. You just have actual cyber security.

Wikileaks released this to target Trump’s idiot base who are TechTarded, and don’t have the collective brainstem to even understand email, let alone actual hacking, and online security.

This is a Putin deflection, nothing more.

Snowdon and Assange both know their survival hangs on Putin’s survival. Greenwald and Poitras should as well.

The first public hearing on Russia’s meddling in US elections will be March 20, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes says.

Nunes said he has invited FBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers, as well as former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former Attorney General Sally Yates, to testify.

Isn’t that the same date the SCOTUS is supposed to hear the ladies case that the election should be overturned?

lawsuit filed to rule the election result null and void and declare President Trump an illegitimate president has made it all the way to the Supreme Court.

The ‘Void The Election’ case, as it is known in legal circles, was filed by three Massachusetts women, Diane Blumstein, Nancy Goodman, and Donna Soodalter-Toman, and has been heard by a Supreme Court Justice. It is now on the docket and awaiting response by the defendants.

Minnesota Sen. Al Franken said he now believes that Attorney General Jeff Sessions committed perjury during his confirmation hearing when he did not disclose meetings with the Russian ambassador.

Sessions’ response during the hearing to Franken’s question about Russia and President Donald Trump’s campaign was demonstrably false, Franken said Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead” with Jake Tapper.

“It’s hard to come to any other conclusion than he just perjured himself,” said Franken, a Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

I can’t wait to see this:

    • March 7, 2017 at 6:30 pm

Well, he answered a question he wasn’t asked.

Parents come home from dinner to teenager they left home alone….

Mom: How was your evening honey? Did you eat and do your homework.

Teen: I didn’t break the lamp in the living room.

    • March 7, 2017 at 7:04 pm

Franken’s question to Sessions was what would he do if it were determined that members of 45’s campaign communicated with Russia?

I believe Sessions’ answer was an attempt to avoid answering Franken’s question (a GOP MO), and in doing so, he made a statement that was untrue. Saying he misunderstood the question is another lie. Grassley, trying to defend Sessions by saying it was a gotcha question, does not negate the fact that Sessions lied.

It is so obvious that contrary to what they said in public, Putin, the Republicans in Congress and their paymasters were and are very afraid of PBO. They are afraid of what he knows and how he wields world-wide influence. He is not nor has ever been any body’s s boy or bigger. He had and has an incorruptible integrity and he saw through their bullshit. For 8 years they tried to bring him down and they are still trying to do so because his very presence is a threat to him. They found out the hard way that he does not ask permission, he is not available of them and he does not want anything that they have. They want to destroy his influence and the very idea of him so that they don’t have to face what they really are and their failures. PBO have the lie of all that they thought a Black man was ( PBO and MO are not anomalies in the Black community). They could not defeat him and his example has helped people around the world to realize their potential and to act on it. They want to cause us a physic wound by destroying him and all that he accomplished so that it will be another more than 100 years before Black people can do more than Jeremy survive. They shut up Japanese -Americans with the concentration camps and it’s affect is that Asians of all stripes are seldom agitating for change. The Muslim ban and the assault against all Brown people is to have the same effect. They want to make America for whites only. Everyone else is to serve them and to fight each other for whatever scraps are left. This is the main reason that that offal is in the White House and that is why the Republicans will not be a party to removing him. He is their dream president.

I love watching Isabelle and Felicien especially who have performed and demonstrated the dance all over the world.

For those who may not know, Kizomba is a dance that originated in Angola (single and partner dance) that had Latin dance elements added to it. It is very beautiful and sensual and celebrates “what your mama gave you” as well as the connection between man and woman.
