I’m with you Arapaho. Keep wondering how long this is going to continue and how much we can take. I’m finding myself keeping the tv off more and more, and haven’t made it to facebook for days. I’m just skimming twitter and not even reading the newspapers which is a first for me. Decided last week I needed a break (again!) so tackled some crochet projects for my new baby granddaughter who is expected in the next 7-10 days. I don’t find any of this amusing, and can’t take snl anymore either. It is heartbreaking what he is doing to this country. I don’t see where and how this ends, but have little doubt there will be war in our future. The more cornered dt feels, the more dangerous he will become. It is simply terrifying, and I am in much better shape than so many in our country. I weep for all these families and kids.
This is so perfect, I almost screamed. Ha. Andy Borowitz nails it again:
“If Trump and Pence are both impeached then Paul Ryan will be President, which is a shame, because I always felt his true calling was to be an assistant manager at a small-market branch of Enterprise Rent-a-Car.”

If this claim is basis for libel suit, what differentiates it from the shitload of lies Trump has told that weren't pursued as libel suits? https://t.co/DDhFm0W9ad
Members also are bothered. They can’t get into Trump’s club on Saturday nights anymore without booking dinner reservations weeks in advance, and that’s becoming more of a challenge as the commander in chief keeps coming down from Washington and people keep pouring in to see him.
Boo hoo, you wanted a “bidness” man for President and now you got one. If you were stupid enough to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to join his club you get every goddamn thing you deserve. I hope he does bankrupt West Palm Beach.
Sessions would probably have already been asked to resign (i.e., fired) if he were so vital to the cover-up. Given his confirmation testimony, subsequent “explanations”, and potential perjury charges, he may soon be seen more as a liability.

His charges had reason to believe that with a pragmatic corporate titan in command, the department would reassert its primacy over American foreign policy—and ease global anxieties about the new president’s nativism, naiveté, and flirtations with noxious strongmen.
It hasn’t happened. Far from curbing Trump’s excesses, Tillerson has been blindsided by them:
• a travel ban that alienated much of the Muslim world and originally barred the entry of Iraqis who’d fought alongside U.S. troops;
• a crackdown on immigrants that’s poisoned relations with America’s third-largest trading partner, Mexico;
• Trump’s suggestion that the U.S. could live with a permanent Israeli occupation of the West Bank, so long as everyone else is cool with it.
• Tillerson was absent from White House meetings with the leaders of Canada, Japan, and Israel.
• His pick for deputy secretary, Elliott Abrams, was rejected after Trump learned Abrams had criticized him during the 2016 campaign.
• Of the 44 highest-ranking positions at the State Department, the Trump administration has filled one: Tillerson’s.
• Even as Tillerson and John Kelly, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, arrived in Mexico City on a goodwill mission on Feb. 23, Trump went out of his way to undercut them. “We’re going to have a good relationship with Mexico,” he told reporters in the White House, “and if we don’t, we don’t.”

One Facebook user has pretty much shut down the Trumpsters who keep saying stupid things like “We suffered through Obama, so suck it up and suffer through Trump.” There just seems to be this tone from Republicans that things were so terrible the last 8 years under President Obama…now it liberals’ turn to suffer. When you hear someone say something like this, this is how you respond:

A Trump supporting Facebook friend told Scott Mednick, “We suffered for eight years. Now it’s your turn.”

anyone with even a little level of understanding on politics can see that the homegrown demagogue’s administration is in trouble and that there is a possibility that its foundation will be fundamentally shaken;
as result, we see hesitancy in some of the people who wanted and plotted to ride 45’s train in order to fulfil their greedy, corrupt racist misogynistic xenophobic agenda.
so some of those people on the 45-inside who see the iceberg approaching are trying to get sympathetic stories written about them or expressed on TV.
the goal of these stories is to make them appear victims if the whole corrupt administration falls ….. but in the mean time they are enjoying the stealing of resources and deregulation.
if these people can get part of their agenda enacted while at the same time claiming to be victims, then they will quietly fade into the background without being criminally charged and then they will use the shadows to wait for the next opportunity to defraud the people;
remember all those republicans who were involved in prior scandals, …..pled innocence, …..were not criminally charged, ….. retreated to the think-tanks and media and waited their next turn …..and are now back again => recycling of corrupt scumbags;
I am keeping a side eye on some of these opportunists and I will not promote stories in which they are made to appear sympathetic … because we all knew what the homegrown demagogue was about from the start …. no pretense that anything he is doing is new or unexpected.
