    Good Evening TODVille!

Thank you NW to remind us that March is Women’s month. And who best personifies women if not our FLOTUS Michelle Obama?

    • 4 99ts
      March 2, 2017 at 1:38 am

She will always be FLOTUS – and she is continuing to work for the women of America – in fact all Americans – unlike the pretender who won’t spend any time in DC.

There will never be another as magnificent as Michelle! Congrats, No Child. I agree that Sessions should resign in shame.

Indeed. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi calls for Jeff Sessions’s resignation also.

On the other hand, resignation is the easy way out.. I say let him go down with all the rest who thought they were so damned clever and invulnerable. Guantanamo will be a warm and comfy place for the whole lot of them to retire. US taxpayers will gladly pay their keep.

It is also beautiful irony and very appropriate that it is a woman, Nancy Peolosi, and a Black man, Elijah Cummings in the House and Senate calling for this racist, misogynist and all around hateful person to resign.

    What a dumb-ass bully!

Representative Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., strongly criticized the Democratic congresswomen who wore white to President Trump’s State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, dismissing the move as “weird” and characterizing it as an homage to Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential bid.

“But by the way, did you notice how poorly several of them were dressed, as well?” Cramer said Wednesday, during a radio town hall broadcast from Fargo, N.D., Politico reported. “It is a syndrome. There is no question. There is a disease associated with the notion that a bunch of women would wear bad-looking white pantsuits in solidarity with Hillary Clinton to celebrate her loss. You cannot get that weird.”

Rep. Lois Frankel, R-Fla., the chair of the House Democratic Women’s Working Group, whose district encompasses Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, led the effort to wear white, in order to visibly promote gender equality.

Cramer makes the typical dick move when women persist in marching forward and standing up for themselves. They first thing that guys like him do is to belittle the way a so an looks as if that is the most I portent thing about us or what we care about. Orange 45 has done it whenever a woman challenged him and really this is all that these guys have. They cannot match the wit, talent and determination of women so that fall back on school yard taunts.

The first two hours were extremely well done, and it’s continuing. Finally some real journalism – albeit first from the “so-called defunct” print media – but given ample coverage by cable news tonight.

I feel like hitting up a bar. (Of course, one glass of wine at this point, and I’d be all sleepy, there’s that.)

Finally, the CNN BREAKING NEWS landed in my Inbox.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions met twice last year with the top Russian diplomat in Washington whose interactions with former Trump national security adviser Mike Flynn led to Flynn’s firing, according to the Justice Department.

Sessions did not mention either meeting during his confirmation hearings when he said he knew of no contacts between Trump surrogates and Russians. A Justice official said Sessions didn’t mislead senators during his confirmation.

Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador, is considered by US intelligence to be one of Russia’s top spies and spy-recruiters in Washington, according to current and former senior US government officials.

Sessions met with Kislyak twice, in July on the sidelines of the Republican convention, and in September in his office when Sessions was a member of the Senate Armed Services committee. Sessions was an early Trump backer and regular surrogate for him as a candidate.

We all need to be pressuring all of the journalist we see commenting on this latest development like Jim Acosta & silly Chris and make them do more than just short sound bites. They need to hit hard and do their job for the American people.

Agree. But you know the awful line “Don’t get mad – get even!” – it’s not something we might tell our children (Ha!). Yet, tonight, I refuse to “only” be mad. I am feeling UPLIFTED because the chickens are coming home to roost. It’s slow and torturous, but the little bastards are coming home to roost. And if I can ever get my mind slowed down tonight, I plan to sleep like a baby!

And it’s all about me, of course. 🙂

Assuming you mean Matthews, I love your “silly Chris” point. Even Brian Williams was more or less leaving him out of the discussion. He has nothing to add.

This site is trying to keep on top and link all the threads of Trump/Putin from various sources

This write-up will display the entire matryoshka as it is known publicly, along with dossiers of each player or organization within the web. Visualizations of each entity will accompany each dossier along with its individual links, as to increment the web in such a way that the reader can understand the sum of its parts. Within these sub-visualizations, we will limit degrees of separation to one link each for the sake of readability. Be aware that further links past that degree exist and can be viewed in the top-level view (i.e. Paul Manafort’s tie to Dmytro Firtash, who ties to Simeon Mogilavech, is not seen on Trump’s visualization, but the relationships by proxy should not be discounted).

journalist should not be wasting their time repeating like parrots what the homegrown demagogue’s gang says.

    instead, they should be asking the kind of hard questions that put ALL elected republicans every person in the homegrown demagogue’s orbit (administration, family, friends) on record about their connections to russia and the stealing of the election;

it is imperative that everyone is on record so that the whole corrupt republican gang of scoundrels can be politically destroyed together … since they have chosen to protect and endorse the homegrown demagogue’s actions, ideology and links to all corrupt people and russia

Datum! I go offline and no TV for hours and all of this is happening, woo hoo! We may be getting rid of one of the most damaging members of the Deplorable cabal. It is sweet irony that his own words against Bill Clinton in regard to lying to congress can now be applied to him. This awful, hateful man who is probably a closeted gay, hates himself and almost everyone else and this country has been damaged by his decades in public office. His first days as AG are a war against most of the country and I hope that he is removed from office before he can do more damage.

Best of all: no one will be talking about how “presidential” 45’s low ratings speech was; it will be more like what did the president know and when did he know it? 45 obviously lied about being in the dark about the contacts that so many people in his staff had with Russian. They worked for him and his goals, of course he not only knew but I am sure he directed them. 45 is all about throwing everyone else under the bus to save himself. It is only a matter of time before he is called to face his lies and his responsibility in all of this Russia mess.
Each day the wisdom of PBO and MO’s insistence in “going high when others go low” no matter how down and dirty the opposition gets is apparent. We need a standard, an example, that not all people in public life are incapable of moral character. We have in front of us in our very recent memory, a couple who showed us dignity, courage, integrity and grace of manner in the crucible of public life. We know what can e and what we should expect from those in the White House because we saw it for 8 years. PBO, his staff, his family and friends hold the moral high ground and their examples strengthen us because we know that we do not have to settle for the rot of what we see today. That old saying “the fish rots from the head” is clearly illustrated every day of this misbegotten administration. 62 million people, concerned only with their hate, pettiness, greed, and ignorance, from the least educated to the most educated, from the most poor to the most wealthy, voted in a dangerous disgrace that harms us all.

PS. I know that everyone is asleep, but I had to add my “two cents” when I woke up. Will join everyone later in the day. I am always reminded of the Chinese curse: “may you live in interesting times” everyday that I check my newsfeed.

I am sure everyone in and around Team Trump knows everything that went on and still go on. Pence can pretend all he wants but I don’t believe him when he said Flynn lied to him.
If Pence was really lied to then he should have taken the high road and resigned
But him still staying put only confirms to my mind that:
    A) he is fully aware of everything that goes on. B) just biding his time till he takes over the presidency.

    • March 2, 2017 at 8:59 am

“Pence can pretend all he wants but I don’t believe him when he said Flynn lied to him.”

I’ve been saying that as well, Jey.

“A) he is fully aware of everything that goes on. B) just biding his time till he takes over the presidency.”

That too. Not just Pence, but Ryan, McConnell, and Chaffetz as well. IMO, that’s one of the reasons they are sitting back and just letting things progress; biding their time to take 45 and company down.

The other reason is trying to keep the bulls eye off their backs.

It would appear that President Obama was on the case before he left office…
