      Hi, MP.

Hi, Ms NW! Thanks for your continued work for the TOD village.

      • February 25, 2017 at 5:36 pm

Hi vc!!!!! Iwas just thinking bout you as I noticed my little Canadian canoe on the mantlepiece!

I’m here, rendered stupefied …. and virtually speechless by the antics of you know who. How’s ya doing (in between the knitting)?

          • February 25, 2017 at 6:04 pm

The hat knitting has ended; now I have to get back to doing all the stuff that I’m supposed to be doing and that I successfully avoided because hats needed to be knitted! This whole *45 situation is beyond words. I’m taking the Ghostbusters line: “I’m terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought”

Ml, I didn’t know the Ghostbusters line but *I* *am* terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought. Never would I have imagined that so much incompetency, hatred and undeterred dismantling could have made it so ‘easily’ to the Oval Office.

SFW. Maybe he should just skip the so-called SOTU, as he has no clue what’s going on, no plan to do anything but destroy, and will succeed only in reinforcing what a flaming ass he is. This Is a very sick man.

He knows no celebrity worth anything will attend, they are probably still trying to find comedians and not succeeding because no one wants to be associated with 45, some News organizations have probably already cancelled and worse of all the unfavorable comparison with PBO’s 8 years correspondents Dinners. That is the kicker, it is all an Ego thing.

THIS is the mantra as I tick through my chores: he won’t still be the so-called president by then anyway. I’d like a condition of his sentence to be no televsion, no twitter, no one to enable him and prop him up.. or is that too harsh for such a spoiled weenie?

  13. February 25, 2017 at 5:43 pm

Pathetically, some of these Bernie/Stein people have written off President Obama too. They wan t to do to the Democrats what the Tea Party did to the GOP- drive all the moderates out. There are authoritarians on the left as well as the right.

    • February 26, 2017 at 9:38 pm

Exactly. Left authoritarianism isn’t very talked about but exists too. There are similarities in the personalities of the hard left and the hard right. Lack of self-reflection, allergy to nuance and compromise, difficulty to se the other’s point of view, a thirst for the “perfect” leader, etc.

This is what I like – someone who’s not afraid of Trump and his associates. Someone who KNOWS who the enemy is, and who it ISN’T. A full-bloodied Dem who is not about creating factions within the Democratic Party, but uniting us against Republican tyranny.

    • February 25, 2017 at 6:06 pm

UNITING us against the Republican Tyranny……..Amen

    • February 25, 2017 at 6:21 pm

A woman tweeting in response to Perez’ election was saying that since we chose the corporate whore blah blah she would be leaving the Democrats and supporting Trump. I asked her (politely!) if she was a Trump troll? She replied no, she was a Bernie and Trump supporter. I’m sure Bernie would be so proud. 😛 They see the Democrats as the enemy and every time I try to wrap my mind around that twisted thinking…I just can’t.I mean I would have hated it if Sanders had won the nomination, but I would have worked hard to get him elected.because I’m NOT INSANE and I know the difference between someone whom I dislike and has slightly different ideas and someone who is an immature, narcissistic, stupid, malignant, bigoted, hate-filled, fascist!

      • February 25, 2017 at 6:27 pm

And she was a registered Democrat and on the platform committee. I know we need every Dem we can get, if she can in any way countenance Trump she really doesn’t belong in our party.

          February 25, 2017 at 6:37 pm

We should all stop chasing the Berniebots and get true democrats and newly enrolled ones to the polls for every local, state and national election. As Mrs. Robinson told Michelle long ago, “not everybody is going to like you.” Let’s move on and not lose the people who have been loyal in the vain pursuit of those who are not.

      • February 26, 2017 at 9:42 pm

A person who claims to hate “corporate whores” but is willing to support Trump is either a “double agent” or completely delusional.

Go ahead lady, and support the guy who wants to cut the taxes for the 1%, scrap regulations, and destroy as much as the safety net as possible.

        The stupidity, it burns.

So, I just came back home after attending a 3hour “Womens March” Postcard writing event. What a great and inspiring evening.
Whoever said that this movement was just a one and done the day after the faux inauguration, was just plain wrong.
The very large room was packed with both women AND men. It was so cathartic to write to Ryan,Sessions,McConnell,Trump and others
expressing feelings/opinions on Heathcare,The Environment,Conflicts of interest (Trump),Immigration and anything else you can think of
that has been abused by this incompetent administration. There was such unity of thoughts in the room with everybody feeling the
angst that is driving us to these types of meetings. We are not backing down TOD. We will #resist.

The cherry on top was when the news broke about Tom Perez becoming the DNC chair which was shouted across the room with joy. 🙂
All in all this was a great day for Democrats. I would now like to ask Bernie Sanders and Nina Turner to go take a seat.

I cannot believe he uses twitter this way. I guess when he declares war – it will be via twitter.

      1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/ww2outbreak/7957.shtml?page=txt
At 11.15 a.m. Mr.Chamberlain had broadcast to the nation the following statement announcing that a state of war existed between Britain and Germany: 3rd September, 1939.

“This morning the British Ambassador in Berlin handed the German Government a final Note stating that, unless we heard from them by 11 o’clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland, a state of war would exist between us.

I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Germany.

You can imagine what a bitter blow it is to me that all my long struggle to win peace has failed. Yet I cannot believe that there is anything more or anything different that I could have done and that would have been more successful.

      2. http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/roosevelt-asks-congress-to-declare-war-on-japan
On this day in 1941, President Franklin Roosevelt asks Congress to declare war on Japan in perhaps the most memorable speech of his career. The speech, in which he called Japan’s act a “deliberate deception,” received thunderous applause from Congress and, soon after, the United States officially entered the Second World War.

      3. On Twitter @bumblegum
Country @xyz has been mean to me. I’m going to blow them up.

You just know that because he “owns” the TIH, he thinks he’ll just “drop by” the Kuwait’s party and round up some more spare change for his ever-fleecing pockets.

He’s gonna treat every T hotel like Mar-A-Lago (or as I refer to it on Twitter due to space constraints), rounding up dollars for himself at every opportunity — he truly can’t help himself (no impulse or greed control).
