          I laughed so much at the thinking that “because trump” they could get the best – the very very best – rooms in any hotel. Love they he had to stay in the sticks – shows the absolute disorganisation of the current administration.

              trump/rump/frump will meet protests all over the world. He will not be a traveller. All the goodwill generated by PBO for the US is well gone – took just 28 days. Did you see our PM quoting Churchill in regard to the press. I’m not a fan of our PM but good to see him standing up to the fool. We have been dependent on the US for defense for 70 years – just have to let it go with this idjit.

      The story of Black life in America. Millions, like those marching now that they feel threatened, ignored the plight of A-As for years. Black folks, in their minds, were lying about systemic racism and pointed racism by public officials all over this country. Surely, they said, the government would not do these things. For too many, something is not real until it happens to them. I am going to sit out most of what is going on now while I figure out how I can best help my people who are always last, if on the list at all.

    I just watched/listened to John McCain speaking at the Munich Security Council. He definitely took some shots at 45. Question is: Is he all talk? His actions will be the test. It’s a little over 9 minutes. Worth a listen………..

    Hello TOD family. Too long since I checked in here. i must prioritize —- it does me so much good. Even though I see the terribleness, i also see the bright shining goodness, and hear how some of you are doing, and remember how precious this respite is. Lots of work and this is supposed to be a Reward and a Break! But I get focused and look up and the day is gone! Next week back to normal. {{{{{{{CEB}}}}}}} Love and light to you. Nerdy Wonka, thank you thank you thank you! I need to start each morning here! Because I love it, I have been treating it like a reward, an incentive, “After I do the difficult XYZ, I get to go hang out in TOD!!!” But that is silly. I get distracted too. I should START here because it is like vitamins! Like drinking orange juice and watching the sunrise. Grounding. I love what RanMan Said: “To all, I hope you experience something wonderfully unimaginable, gain something heartwarmingly unbelievable, and do something immeasurably outstanding today. ❤ ❤ ❤” Congrats on First, Bobfr, and thanks for this excellent tweet from Tom Perez.

    ‏@phillydotcom 5h — Questions linger about Trump’s academic record at Wharton, the University of Pennsylvania’s top-notch business school. …The 1968 Wharton graduate’s name does not appear in a report of dean’s list students from that year or among students who graduated with honors, according to records from the university and its student newspaper. …In October 1968, the Daily Pennsylvanian, the independent student newspaper at Penn, published a list of dean’s list students for the 1967-68 school year, when Trump graduated. Trump’s name wasn’t on it. …

    sometimes you are caught is a position where you watch stuff that you would never deliberately seek out;

    I accidentally watched short part of a discussion of morning joe which happened today and immediately started cussing.

    statements were part of a panel discussion on the homegrown demagogue’s presser from yesterday.

    but scumbag joe took this as an opportunity to insert his venom about PBO;

    scumbag claimed that PBO came to DC as an arrogant POTUS who thought he was smarter than anyone else …. and added more such garbage which was reeking of envy.

    Of course, I could not watch any more of that revealing talk about the hate that was (and still is) directed at PBO;

    I am only mentioning it here so that people can remember to use this to demonstrate how O-hate from mediocre imbeciles sounds on tv as venom directed towards PBO

    • February 17, 2017 at 8:11 pm

      I saw that as well, globalcitizenlinda, and my reaction was pretty much the same — quickly changing the channel and reminding myself why I tend not to venture there.

      We know that PBO did not think he was the smartest person in the room (although he probably was). Otherwise, he would not have had the knowledge and talent around him that he did. If anything, he was not threatened by them and welcomed the opportunity to learn from them.

      PBO extended olive branch after olive branch, but rather than be receptive, the GOP (and some Democrats) decided to say that he didn’t reach out and called him arrogant. In short, they did not like the confident, intelligent (ergo uppity) black man. And they definitely didn’t like how respected and how well he was received throughout the world.

      I’m offended on PBO’s behalf that they would even hint that there were similarities between PBO and 45.

      Well to be fair He IS smarter than everyone else 🙂 🙂 and when they say he “acted” like it they mean he was smarter than them and they couldn’t handle it. Because they’re a bunch of self absorbed small minded bigots whose penises shrunk every time the truly intelligent man spoke. He was never arrogant (as we all know) he was just open hearted and bloody brilliant and they can’t deal with it. The problem has always been theirs. They can lived with Trump because he’s a dummy and they can all sound like they have a brain next to Trump. They’re pathetic and I don’t watch them and won’t because they’re pathetic 😉 Hang in there Linda.

      phuck steve schit-for-brains and all these all-of-a-sudden “reasonable republicans” that “the news” trot out constantly instead of the people who have been correct for decades – democrats. this is the idiot who ran the campaign that decided to bring sarah palin one heartbeat away from being the president. the tundra twit is one of the only people who still seems as nutz as cheato benito. mark my words…this schmidt, rick wilson, and all these other charlatans will be singing the praises of mike pence and paul ryan and the other news-dubbed reasonable republicans within the next few months. and no one, not one single person in the major “news” will point out how all these same people campaigned for and voted for these traitors to america. not one. but there will be incessant commentary about how democrats do the same things and are just as bad as donnie chump.

    Are all of you getting these Gorsuch adds on you local tv stations for Gorsuch, now they are running ones saying to call Senator Testor and tell him to support Gorsuch and not delay.

    Earlier in the day actually saw on tv where 84% of Republicans support Trump. This is so hard for me to believe. All this has me depressed tonight.

      February 17, 2017 at 11:29 pm

      First, my dear, do not let them get you down ❤ They say a lot of things that are not true, or are distorted, to push their agenda. We know the lies start at the top and run down through the entire Republican organization at this point. So what you see on teevee is like looking at ads from the 50s, where doctors would recommend filtered cigarettes– malarkey.

      Second, even in the red districts, there are like-minded people you can call on to volunteer, meet and vent, or get feedback about what you're seeing. I hope you have local contacts to help you bear up under the onslaught of 45's machinations.

      Third, maybe should be first, you have come to the right place: TOD! This is where I always find the truth, and the heartfelt goodness, that I need to carry on. Big hugs to you, and remember, PBO is out there conferring and thinking ahead, as always.
