BOTH Obama & HRC sounded the alarm bells time and again, well before the election, about Trump’s ties to Russia. The media had ENOUGH material to push for a much bigger investigation. Talking about Flynn he says, “Yeah it’s funny, funny Treason you know.” Reamed him on the idiot who is going to be Austrian ambassador because he loves the Sound of Music, Reamed him about the non-secure Security Council Crisis meeting in Trump’s night club. And made a hilarious reference about Bannon as the guy who loves Nazis. Colbert with his magnificent wit and biting humor does the best take downs of Trump, totally humiliating him in every respect.
The way Mika phrased it, it sounds as if Kellyanne is not being invited so much of late but instead is farming herself out to appear on shows. I’m hoping that more and more shows take the indignant stance regarding her lying (not to mention that she doesn’t appear to be in the loop and therefore, has little or no knowledge about what is really going on in the 45 WH) and decline to give her an invitation.

I maintain that 45 and company knew about Flynn’s (and everyone else in his campaign/transition team/administration) interactions with Russia and knew what was contained, knew the details, of those interactions. The whole thing about Pences’s knowledge of the DOJ’s warnings is just semantics.
Wanting questionable people like Flynn and Sessions in his administration makes since from the standpoint of their involvement in the campaign and transition and the need to keep 45’s involvement with Russia covered up. Mr. “I-know-everything-and everyone-else-is-a-disaster” would never admit that he allowed himself to be compromised (willingly or not). He goes back and forth about knowing Putin (keep in mind his daughter was friends with Putin’s girlfriend and recently vacationed together). He tries to feign independence/ignorance regarding dealings with Russian organizations/corporations/individuals. Pence, Ryan, McConnell, Chaffetz, et al, have been drawn into this corruption such that they either stay low key and continue to block, or they are taken down with the rest of them.
It’s scary that, given the current make up of this congress, we are so dependent on the judicial branch (and the press) to make sure the checks and balances built into the Constitution work as it should. Citizenship has taken on a much bigger role.
Which is why David Petraeus is on his radar to replace Flynn…he also considered Petraeus for Sec of State…pled guilty to passing classified information to his former lover and biographer…someone on probation who would need approval from his probation officer to travel/relocate. If he still has a security clearance, that is unbelievable. That he got away with no jail time is outrageous. But, these are the type of people 45 looks to to fill high level positions in his administration. It’s no wonder the WH is in chaos and the status of our national security is worrisome.
