This insinuation by Daou that somehow Obama is to be blamed for Russian interference is absurd. BOTH Obama & HRC sounded the alarm bells time and again, well before the election, about Trump’s ties to Russia. The media had ENOUGH material to push for a much bigger investigation. They did not care that Trump did not release his tax returns (which would have likely shown his financial ties to Russia at the very least). They did not care that Assange and Wikileaks seemed to be coordinating talking points and email-related propaganda with the Kremlin and with Trump campaign.

Instead they were busy ignoring HRC’s comments about Russia, or calling her an “unpopular” and “untrustworthy” candidate, and spending 24/7 on her emails.

      February 15, 2017 at 12:01 am

that is bullshit. POTUS, FLOTUS, HRC, officials all said there were issues. He put sanctions on Russia and Flynn and Trump called Putin to downplay. Sorry, they don’t get to blame Barack Obama for this crap.

      February 15, 2017 at 12:12 am

Don’t let them do it ya’ll. Don’t let them re-write the script. I would post every link to media showing 44 took action. I would show video of President Obama warning about Russian interference and any story about McConnell asking him not to interfere.

I wouldn’t even get heated. Just tell them…you don’t get to rewrite history. No sir you don’t. Trump, Pence and the GOP owns this. What…are they are going to blame Comey’s interference and lies on Barack Obama too? I don’t think so.

        February 15, 2017 at 12:20 am

We won’t let them rewrite the script. This Daou guy has never missed an opportunity to sneakily blame Obama for Hillary’s loss. Despite all the heavy lifting that PBO & FLOTUS did while many sat on their arses and didn’t vote.

Yes hope he instigate crap towards PBO. Daou reminds me of a slimy snake. He is nice nasty. Had to stop following him on Twitter.

        • February 15, 2017 at 4:25 am

They better set their sights where it belongs. Any attempt to sully PBO with this nonsense from any quarters will get the push back it rightly deserves. The GOP refused to shine any light on this. Harry Reid yelled about it, nothing was done. PBO would have been accused of trying to turn the election for Hillary. Watch McConnell threatening to use this very point. No one worked harder for the election of Hillary than PBO and Mrs. O. So, today, if anyone tries to blame him for an iota of this, must hear from us loudly.

Funny how Birther administration tried to blame PBO out of the gate for every screw up and misstep. And at this juncture, when this group is at its weakest, if folks on the left don’t squeeze them, but try to drag PBO in here, some of us will not be having one piece of it.

Left and right penchant for blaming PBO for every and anything is maddening.

I am done with their foolishness.

I totally loved Joy Reid filling on Lawrence this evening. She is so smart and articulate, so much in command of the issues. And Steve Colbert reamed Trump and the Flynn fiasco in magnificent style, pulls no punches. Talking about Flynn he says, “Yeah it’s funny, funny Treason you know.” Reamed him on the idiot who is going to be Austrian ambassador because he loves the Sound of Music, Reamed him about the non-secure Security Council Crisis meeting in Trump’s night club. And made a hilarious reference about Bannon as the guy who loves Nazis. Colbert with his magnificent wit and biting humor does the best take downs of Trump, totally humiliating him in every respect.

The way Mika phrased it, it sounds as if Kellyanne is not being invited so much of late but instead is farming herself out to appear on shows. I’m hoping that more and more shows take the indignant stance regarding her lying (not to mention that she doesn’t appear to be in the loop and therefore, has little or no knowledge about what is really going on in the 45 WH) and decline to give her an invitation.

THAT’S my worry…that only a few of them will be held in account for this massive, massive breach of security…it is the entire crew that PP hired and I dare say that these lies were a prerequisite for the jobs….it’s rotten to the core and no one must be allowed to stay…I even say that the GOP in Congress that has decided that we don’t want to prosecute Republicans because “it’s all taking care of itself” need to fucking be shown the door. They have no morals. no values no scruples….they are no patriotic…they are opportunists that would all sell their own mothers if it got them what they want.

I hope this blows up so hard that it ruins them all…in all ways….for life.

I still don’t believe Pence was as out of the loop as they would like to make us believe. I maintain that 45 and company knew about Flynn’s (and everyone else in his campaign/transition team/administration) interactions with Russia and knew what was contained, knew the details, of those interactions. The whole thing about Pences’s knowledge of the DOJ’s warnings is just semantics.

Wanting questionable people like Flynn and Sessions in his administration makes since from the standpoint of their involvement in the campaign and transition and the need to keep 45’s involvement with Russia covered up. Mr. “I-know-everything-and everyone-else-is-a-disaster” would never admit that he allowed himself to be compromised (willingly or not). He goes back and forth about knowing Putin (keep in mind his daughter was friends with Putin’s girlfriend and recently vacationed together). He tries to feign independence/ignorance regarding dealings with Russian organizations/corporations/individuals. Pence, Ryan, McConnell, Chaffetz, et al, have been drawn into this corruption such that they either stay low key and continue to block, or they are taken down with the rest of them.

It’s scary that, given the current make up of this congress, we are so dependent on the judicial branch (and the press) to make sure the checks and balances built into the Constitution work as it should. Citizenship has taken on a much bigger role.

    Good Morning, TOD Family!!!

Which is why David Petraeus is on his radar to replace Flynn…he also considered Petraeus for Sec of State…pled guilty to passing classified information to his former lover and biographer…someone on probation who would need approval from his probation officer to travel/relocate. If he still has a security clearance, that is unbelievable. That he got away with no jail time is outrageous. But, these are the type of people 45 looks to to fill high level positions in his administration. It’s no wonder the WH is in chaos and the status of our national security is worrisome.

Most of us have moved past the woulda/coulda/shouldas about HRC’s campaign. We care to the extent that it is proven that Russia/45 campaign/GOP colluded to steal this election, how they did it, who was involved and the extent to which they were involved, and how they will be punished.

Just as throughout the campaign, 45 made outrageous comments that often alluded to something underhanded. His mentioning HRC’s campaign makes me think that he is again alluding to something underhanded related to HRS’s campaign and the election. In the past it was laughed at and brushed off as a crazy man ranting. Hopefully, we have learned our lesson and perhaps shouldn’t completely look past the supposed craziness of his tweets as just a distraction or an alt-fact. [JMHO]

This has always been my best PBO the badass photo! I would caption it: “You want some of US? Come at me bro’ if you dare. My pettiness has always reveled in the fact that PBO is much taller. Putin suffers from short-many syndrome and all of his dick moves are about over-compensation of this fact. When I think of the stupid shirtless horseback riding photos and the one with a tiger, I laugh and then gage. PBO was so comfortable with himself and was so much a real man that he had no need to do silly things to show it or to talk about it. I know in his early days so many here and abroad wanted to dismiss him until they sat across from him at the negotiation tables or tried to threaten us in any way and came up against that formidable intellect and steely resolve. I miss him so much.

Earlier, I was imagining “the trial,” where the prosecutor says, “What did you mean in your tweet of 2:42 a.m. on January 3rd, Mr. Trump?”

Even if it’s 2017 and we’re all into social media, Trump is totally clueless and classless, acts like a 3-year-old (no offense to them), and is a total embarrassment to our country. He has no class, no intelligence, no friends, no interests other than bamboozling and self-aggrandizement, and spends other people’s money. In addition to the cash he swindles, my taxes alone probably bought him breakfast this week. We simply must get him out of there. And I realize I’m preaching to the choir here – just had to get it out of my system!
