This is the real Christian, not the kind who is always talking about being a christian but those who show that they are a christian. Hear me evangelicals, who have no problems supporting a racists, sexists, thin skin, lying, don’t pay taxes, Russia puppet.

President Carter is a class act, statesman and wonderful representative of American values. So glad to see him still active and healthy. Hope he has many more years in him.

      GM DF.

Recall your describing your working in your garden this time of year — succulents are in their high season now!

Saw these at a local Home Depot yesterday, think they’ll have similar beauties in your neck of the woods now.

Amazing, vibrant colors, and most ready to bloom soon (will try and inventory all my succulents in bud now — even though it’s the dead of winter, still have hummingbirds visit my patio, since (so far) at least a few of their favorite snacks are in bloom 🙂 ).

      Here’s a few “drop-n-bloom” samples:

This photo doesn’t do justice at what bright colors these plants are:

    GM/GA TODville.

I like the idea of taking a break from the horrors of DJT (enough chaos and turmoil during the week from this deplorable ignorant fraud).

Here’s a clip to cheer everyone up (posted this earlier on TOD, late at night, in response to keltuc [think I’ve messed up this handle, but it’s close):

And this interview happened on Tuesday, Jan 17 — no doubt already posted here (behind here, a permanent condition, I fear).

    From the article:
“one might argue that Souza helped Obama become that imposing figure, the man who will go down in history as the first African American president, one of the most popular presidents of the modern era and, well, a guy who looked equally at home behind a podium and crawling around on the ground playing with toddlers.”

    and this:
“Obama is just very open, relaxed, matter-of-fact kinda guy in a way that I don’t think Reagan ever was.”

She was great! I need to go back and watch the entire episode since SNL really knows how to roast Trump and his sycophants.

Just a note about resistance: it comes in many forms. You will remember I have written about my church several times, a progressive, Protestant congregation. An interesting thing is happening: we are actually growing, in contrast to most mainline congregations. The Sunday after the election the sanctuary was packed; we were a dispirited, gloomy lot, who fled to church for comfort. Our pastor is wise. He didn’t spend his time “comforting” us and telling us everything would be all right; he told us as Christians we have to resist what the incoming president’s positions and plans are. He made us think and look at what is happening in a realistic way. We had a huge contingent participating in the Women’s March, and we are working to influence legislation.

Today, the pastor spoke that we are to be SALT and LIGHT, the sermon was from the Beatitude, the “blessed” It was powerful. I got to church later than I usually do, and could hardly find a parking place. I had to sit in the back row, where I have never sat before. The building was PACKED. It has been growing ever since election. And, it is not old people, it is young people, the younger generation. It’s gotten to the place where you have to come early for a good seat 🙂

We are working to influence state legislators to do the right thing on education, on health care, on immigration…..we will be with the Muslim community March 2 when they go to the capitol to educate the legislators on their particular problems. This in my corner of red Oklahoma. We cannot grow tired in well doing. This is too important.

I think it is a powerful statement that a Judge appointed by a GOP President, GW Bush is the one who rejected the administration’s appeal and BLOCKED the EO.

Its a good thing we have rootin’ tootin’ shootin’ Rick Perry heading up our energy department, I’m sure his expertise in nuclear reactors will be of great value to us in explaining the dangers that Japan and the world will face if this leak keeps expanding.

Oh, absolutely! And since those “damn regulations” keep getting in the way of literally EVERYTHING, we don’t have to worry ourselves with the nuclear radiation in our oceans and fish we eat. All good!

eh that won’t last.. McConnell is just as much a bullshit artist as his president. of course this could be their game.. one pushing for the investigation.. and the other not allowing $$ to pay for it.. giving them an excuse to not investigate and blame it on Congress. Who knows.. I try to figure out their crazy minds, but am at a constant loss.

Yup. The cowardly corrupt pos has already preemptively blamed the judicial system for anything that might happen under his ‘watch’. Hope the judges say FU to him in all future rulings.

I’ll tell you what. Even more than wanting to see this fraud’s tax returns for the last 40 years, I want to see him have a psych work up by a reputable doctor…not the quack he employs to say whatever works out best for Donny Tinyhands. He is not mentally well. At all.
