When all this gets fixed, and it will, let it be understood by all that Republicans do NOT deserve a seat at the table, or to make any decisions that affect any human beings. EVER. They own this, that brought this wrath down on this country and the world. No mercy on them come election time. VOTE THEM OUT! They can not be trusted!

Then read the post downthread about DT already filing for his 2020 candidacy, which could affect PACs ability to setup opposition ones. Need to educate myself on that angle. American Commando Killed in Yemen in Trumps First Counterterror Operation

    By ERIC SCHMITTJAN. 29, 2017

WASHINGTON One American commando was killed and three others injured in a fierce firefight overnight with Qaeda militants in central Yemen, a senior American official said Sunday morning. The raid was the first counterterrorism operation approved by President Trump since he took office nine days ago.

Commandos flying in Osprey aircraft carried out the surprise dawn attack in Bayda Province in a ground raid that lasted just under an hour. The target was a building or series of buildings that contained information that counterterrorism officials had deemed valuable enough to warrant a ground operation rather than an airstrike, the American official said.

Gen. Joseph Votel, the head of the Pentagons Central Command, said in a statement: We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our elite service members. The sacrifices are very profound in our fight against terrorists who threaten innocent peoples across the globe.

A military aircraft assisting in the operation crash-landed nearby, leaving a fourth commando injured, the statement said. That aircraft, identified by a senior American official as an Osprey, was unable to fly after the landing and was destroyed by American airstrikes.

    Really?????????

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-travel-bans-department-of-homeland-security-vows-enforce-court-order-a7551601.html

Donald Trump’s travel bans will continue to be enforced by the The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), despite a New York judge placing a temporary stay on it being executed.

Judge Ann Donnelly ruled the bans on refugees and people from seven majority-Muslim countries, were unconstitutional.

But the DHS said it would “continue to enforce all of President Trump’s Executive Orders in a manner that ensures the safety and security of the American people.”

It said:“President Trump’s Executive Orders remain in place – prohibited travel will remain prohibited, and the US government retains its right to revoke visas at any time if required for national security or public safety.”

White House officials also insisted there was nothing in the court order which impeded the executive order and it remained in full effect.

Regardless of their legal status in the US, citizens of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia or Yemen have now been barred from entering the country even if they have the correct documentation.

Islam is the predominant religion in those countries and the order has been widely regarded as an implementation of the ban on Muslims which Mr Trump called for during his electoral campaign, although the President denied this.

    Morning all.

If true, this is very important to know. Hopefully it can be circulated and sent to people like Joy Reid, Rachael Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell etc to check out and publicize.

Here’s the thing. The Rule of Law means nothing to them…this is what we fail to wrap our heads around at our peril….they will continue to do what ever they WANT to do until they are removed. This was planned by Russia/Trump/Trumpcronies.

      From the piece:

President Trump signed an executive order on Friday that purports to bar for at least 90 days almost all permanent immigration from seven majority-Muslim countries, including Syria and Iraq, and asserts the power to extend the ban indefinitely.

But the order is illegal. More than 50 years ago, Congress outlawed such discrimination against immigrants based on national origin.

    Maya Angelou

You may write me down in history
    With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

    Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
    Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
    With the certainty of tides,
    Just like hopes springing high,
    Still I’ll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
    Bowed head and lowered eyes?
    Shoulders falling down like teardrops,
    Weakened by my soulful cries?

    Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
‘Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
    Diggin’ in my own backyard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.

    Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history’s shame
    I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
    I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.

Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
    I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
    I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
    I rise
    I rise
    I rise.

The ride-sharing company Lyft has pledged to donate a million dollars to the ACLU in response to President Donald Trump’s immigration ban.

In a letter emailed to customers early Sunday morning, Lyft co-founders John Zimmer and Logan Green announced their decision to donate money to help “defend our constitution.”

    -snip-

“Banning people of a particular faith or creed, race or identity, sexuality or ethnicity, from entering the U.S. is antithetical to both Lyft’s and our nation’s core values,” the co-founders wrote.

    -snip-

Lyft’s rival Uber also announced that it will help compensate its drivers who might be stranded overseas due to the travel ban.

I am so thankful for this place, and the hope and will expressed here. The demonstrations last night were a balm, particularly because they were not organized by any group, but were spontaneous. However, never in my 77 years did I think I would experience a week like this past one, and a day and night like yesterday. I am stunned and heartbroken. So glad I get to go to church today where, I know, I will be encouraged, and positive actions will be suggested.

    Good morning you wonderful people….
