Good West Coast New Year’s Eve morning NW & TOD family.

NW, thank you so much for being here. We depend so much on you and want you to know that your consistency is HUGELY appreciated. ❤

There is a new Eagle family: http://www.dickpritchettrealestate.com/eagle-feed.html
One eaglet hatched this morning. We're waiting for the other one.

    New life, new hope.

Morning DF. I wrote you a comment response, but, the eaglet ate it. 🙂
Yes, it has rained a whole lot this morning, but, is beginning to clear up. We’re expecting more around 5pm through the night. We’re expected to have a wet New Year’s celebration.

Hungry baby! We had lots of rain, too. Will be staying in today…maybe go get a haircut but other than that…have to watch my Buckeyes this afternoon beat Clemson:) Here’s hoping!
I have a lake in my front yard. I’m done with the rain now…

I have mixed feelings about the rain too.
I went out to exercise this morning and turned onto one of the major streets here in my new city, and it was part of the San Gabriel River! OMG!

OH NO! 🙂 Well, if it rains hard enough in a short time, the street I live on turns into a raging river…complete with white caps…No kidding! I had video….it’s crazy. I wish it could rain at night and then have nice days…rain during school hours/ not good:)

I know that it will rival George Washington’s farewell speech. Unfortunately, I doubt that the networks will cover it other than anything that they can cherry-pick to cause some shit. Hopefully, C-span and WhiteHouse.gov will carry the speech.

I am bringing this over in hopes that more people will see it. As you see, it was shared in response to the link df shared about possibility of Russia having a Trump sex tape and using it to blackmail him. As I said in first post, reading this book now was chilling. NO, it felt prophetic. Describing it as chilling doesn’t really fit. Only word I can come up with though.

Putting this here instead with df’s and job’s comments up thread. The link about a sex tape: I just finished a James Patterson book. Set in Washington. About the president, First Lady, the CIA, etc., etc. Turns out Russia had a video of the First Lady and her lesbian lover. That lover supposedly turned up dead, but it wasn’t her. They found someone who looked like her, dressed in the lover’s clothes, etc. and pulled off a “suicide” (jumping off her balcony). I’m leaving out a LOT, but Russia was blackmailing our government because they wanted free reign to move into Georgia, then continue taking back ALL the Soviet block countries. The character telling the story was a journalist–an HONEST one–and both the Russians and our CIA tried many times to kill him as he was searching for the truth. He kept getting closer and closer. All along, he knew Russia was blackmailing but thought it was the President being blackmailed. Turned out the Pres. knew nothing. It was the head of the CIA. Of course, it all ended ‘well’. The President did a press conference……….CIA head forced to resign………our our democracy was ‘saved.’ Oh, China was also involved on the edges. I am telling you, it was chilling to read that book at this point in time. Waaaaay to close to reality right now.

      From the essay…

If Trump moves to do just that, no greater evidence will be required to prove that Trump is, in fact, a Russian puppet who owes his years in office fully and completely to Putin, eradicating American sovereignty. It is not a conclusion that even the best obfuscation masters in the news media and political Right will be able to avoid. Trump’s capitulation to Russia as president will provide a groundswell for a popular upheaval, and provided Democrats take advantage of that every single day, Congressional GOP just may be out of moves to protect their Frankenstein.

      GA Meta, TODville.

Sprinkling here, on and off, so like GGail am enjoying a rainy afternoon in SoCal — we’ve gotten lots more, and consistent, rain this season than last year’s (supposed?) El Nino — we’ve had rainy weekends for the past month or so — so grateful for our landscape, which has been truly parched for more than 5 years now. 🙂

I’m sure this was done by Tom Perez, a liberal who #GetsThingsDone:

      From the news release:
“In July 2016, federal contractors Restaurant Associates, LLC., Restaurant Associates, Inc., and their subcontractor, Personnel Plus, agreed to pay back wages in the amount of $1,008,302 to 674 workers after the department’s Wage and Hour Division found the contractors violated the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act by paying workers less than the wages required under the Act and failing to pay for all hours worked. The workers prepared and served meals for Capitol Hill lawmakers and their staffs in the U.S. Senate cafeteria. In September 2016, the contractors agreed to pay an additional $12,443 in back wages the division found due to four employees.”

      • December 31, 2016 at 6:30 pm

YES, Sec Perez has gone after wage theft, paid leave, minimum wage and bargaining rights. He’s always there for working Americans. In some ways he reminds me of the male version of Kamala Harris – a strong workhorse with solid principles who gets things done for ordinary Americans.

As I have been floating in and out of the TOD village (as well as in my email box) for almost two months now, I’m not sure if our TOD family has been asked to hold Dudette in our serious thoughts and prayers. (Yes, I did see it mentioned she’s been away.) In case you haven’t, I’m asking you now to help lift her up. Her Christmas eve note to me says she ‘will be on an intense (medical) regime for the next 6 months’, and she sends her love to the TOD family. We ❤ you, D-ette, and you can count on us reaching out to you in thoughts and in spirit. Hang tough!

    Out with 2016

    Nostradamus in a quatrain
Couldn’t have made it sound more insane
That the brightest star in the universe
Could be replaced by something this perverse
The omens and predictions and such
Have really all been a bit too much
We shall take back our land in 2017
Stand up taller than the haters have seen
Pledge allegiance with E pluribus unum criteria
As Trump ends his days in a madman’s Siberia

    #WeAreUnstoppable #LoveTrumpsHate #Resist
