Is this a First Family or a mob family? … The Trumps’ “four-for-the-price-of-one” act continued yesterday as Ivanka Trump got to sit in on Al Gore’s “lengthy and very productive session” with the President-elect. … http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/america-voted-trump-ended-article-1.2900298?utm_content=buffer2fa61&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=NYDailyNewsTw

    Seriously ….

Anything that remotely looks like the America all of you have experienced since you were born, including ALL of the racist, gender, misogynistic hate, the fear mongering, the unnecessary and illegal wars, and the vast greed of the kleptocrats will look like challenges you’d prefer ….

Trump must be stopped. Please do everything you can to make that happen.

    back to work ….

      “The Electors Trust

As Politico reported last night, we’ve launched The Electors Trust, a project of EqualCitizens.US.

The objective of the Electors Trust is to give electors free and confidential legal services, to defend their constitutional right “to exercise,” as Justice Jackson put it in Ray v. Blair (1952), “an independent and nonpartisan judgment as to the [person] best qualified for the Nation’s highest offices.” Many states have laws that purport to limit federal electors. As Ray v. Blair makes clear, any such state power is extraordinarily limited.

Mark Lemley, a partner at Durie Tangri and a professor at Stanford (and an old friend) has volunteered to head the legal project. Electors will be represented by Durie Tangri, and no one, outside of the firm, will have any knowledge about who those electors are. With their permission, the electors can allow others to know that they are considering a vote of conscience. But that information will not include either their identity or their state.”

        Roger Wolfson Attorney, writer

“A lot of wishful thinking is happening in America right now. “Maybe Trump the President will be different than Trump the Candidate.” We already know this is a fallacy. Trump the president-elect is exactly the same as Trump the candidate. “Maybe he’ll suddenly become more responsible and balanced.” “Maybe this is the kick in the pants America needs.” “Maybe he’ll be impeached.” But the most damaging wishful thought of all is: “Maybe I don’t have to do anything — maybe the electors will choose to appoint someone else, on their own.”

The Electors should. But they won’t. Not without political pressure the likes of which America has rarely seen before. Which means we all need to be motivated. Well — how about the safety of our own lives, and the lives of everyone we love? Because let’s not fool ourselves. Anyone with a rudimentary appreciation of the powers of the president of the United States knows that the stakes are life and death. Pretending otherwise is wishful thinking.”

        Yes, Now or NEVER ….

“Fortunately, resources exist to help us, right now. http://Www.asktheelectors.org is a simple tool to reach out to electors directly — use it to voice your concerns, and offer your support and thanks for their conscientious votes for Hillary Clinton. Sign a petition at Change.org, and share it on social media. Join in any public protest. And take every opportunity to speak honestly and earnestly to friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers, urging them all to join you in the fight for our shared future. If you are a Democrat, remind your Republican friends that if Trump had run as a Democrat — something he could have chosen to do – you’d be making the same argument. This isn’t about party. It’s about survival.”

Bob, do you think this website will be helpful? http://directelection.org
It’s from a tweet that RanMan posted on the previous thread. The directelection.org website provides a form letter already created for various States and all one has to do is copy, print, and mail. This is something EVERYONE is capable of doing.

            Jeff Strabone @jeffstrabone
Josh, I’ve made a website to make writing letters to the #ElectoralCollege easy:

As VC stated, what *we* can do is to be proactive and positive.

I know for a fact that “wishing and hoping” will not remove DT on December 19, 2016.

Wow, Bob! I just clicked on the asktheelectors.org link and created my heartfelt letter and hit send. It was soooooo easy and it allowed me to voice my concerns and fears in an intelligent format.

It was quick and easy. The letter was emailed to the electors directly. I saw the group of email addresses. It really works.

It felt good to be able to put my concerns and fears in writing and feel that it will be read by someone who has the power to right a wrong and to stop and injustice that is about to crush America.

Thank you Bob for posting the link!!!

    Good Afternoon, Nerdy…TOD Family.

I haven’t been commenting much lately, but I have been lurking…daily. I appreciate all the updates, information, guidance…all the things needed to recover from the 11/4 fiasco and that will hopefully help us avoid the catastrophe of a Trump-presidency. My fears have gone beyond what DJT does and may do…but what seems to be *accepted*– especially by those with the authority/power/resources to do something about it.

Yes, my fears also, sw. My analogy goes like this: If the Klan burns a cross on my yard- the world will rightly holler/yell/scream racism… if Trump/his administration hires racists, homophobes who implement racist and homophobic policy- will folks see it, recognize it, still holler and scream, fight and resist? If it’s “soft” racism/bigotry and not burning crosses on my lawn bigotry.. will folks let it go. or will they/we – specifically Democrats in power positions- resist from the get go?

A family friend referred to Trump/ his admin hires.. as the assembly of Trump’s “master race”. This is how I see it to, how it feels to me and thus nothing he does can be acceptable or accepted. nothing.

      • December 6, 2016 at 4:18 pm

“If it’s “soft” racism/bigotry and not burning crosses on my lawn bigotry.. will folks let it go…”

Given the reactions (or lack of) for the things he has done and is doing, I’m not expecting much resistance. The GOP seems to fear retaliation if they go against Trump — ducking and dodging when asked to address Trump’s actions that would *normally* be considered an offense to our democracy and the Constitution. Democrats seem to just go along to get along.

I just continue to hope that our voices are being heard…that more is going on behind the scene than we know and that a DJT inauguration will not happen.
