    Thank you Nerdy so much for doing this. It’s definitely keeping me sane and hopeful.

    I wanted to mention something that I’ve been tweeting out over the last few days that AfAms need to have a safety plan in place no later than January 20, 2017. As the new occupants of the Oval office, the White Nationalist Party will be coming for black bodies both socially and economically. We must be ready.

        there is real fear in so many places;

        – yes there is the common fears we share as people with common beliefs about equality for all and the fact that so much progress we share is going to be under direct attack with the support of institutions that would otherwise step in,

        but talking among the people I know, the greatest is that fear of the ordinary people who heard and saw the impending danger and yet endorsed it with their vote and even celebrated their vindictiveness;

        it feels like members of your family knew the impending danger you face and then they rushed gleefully to shove out to be devoured & humiliated as this torture run its course;

            We must be there for each other. I too am very concerned. I have been taking this time writing a letter to my brother. It isn’t easy to do and I keep adding and changing it. It’s hard to express things we have never talked about in concise language. I wish I could put a protective bell over everyone for the next 4 years. My prayers of protection for everyone will be in my meditation every day.

    Did JackieG say she was taking a break? I know I’m not as focused in the village as before, but I haven’t seen her in a while. I certainly hope she’s okay and that I just missed her while dancing in and out.

    Good evening TOD! Does anyone know whether there’s an archive of PBO’s 2016 campaign speeches for Hillary? I just wanted to check on somethings that he specifically warned about in those speeches. If we could just post a collection of those snippets of him warning what a Trump Presidency would result in – that would be great.

      Hi Hopefruit, did you check YouTube? I don’t know if they are in order but a peek gave me this response. If that’s what you’re after, maybe we can each watch one (tho hard to do given the result is still ‘tender’), then position it at the spot you think works.

      HopeF, I started listening to PBO’s July 5 speech and a few minutes in realize that I can’t….at least not yet. He was making a passionate and factual case and it’s hard, for now, for me to accept that so many US voters ignored the truth of his message for whatever reason.

        Thanks for the links {{{vc}}}. I totally understand how difficult it is to listen to any of those speeches. I haven’t even attempted since the election. I just need to know that they are available when needed for reference. 🙂

    Be of good cheer by thinking of all of your blessings. Walk with your head up, meet everyone with a smile as you look them in the eye. The best revenge is living well and joyfully. Do not give any of the minutes that we have to fear of what might happen. Be proactive. Do as Barack did when he was a child in Indonesia; he skipped along even as some hurled rocks at him. We’ve got this, people! Time to stop with the tears, fears, depression and dread. We have lives to live, children and young people to inspire, and a group of deplorables to stop. Build yourselves up uplifting poetry, song, philosophy, scripture, like-minded positive friends, and the work of citizens in a democracy. The world did not end, our democracy is still holding and there are millions who will do all that they can to make sure that it continues to. The only thing that changed is that those who had whispered their hate and intolerance are now speaking it out loud and proud. The only thing that is changed is those who believed we lived in a post-racial society have been awakened to the truth that anyone who was not covered by white privilege have always known. Do not let people terrorize you before they actually do anything. In other words, do not jump before you are hit. Do not give these people the pleasure of your tears and fears. It is time for the pity party to be over people. I avoided this place for days because after reading some of the posts, I would have to fight off the feelings of depression that started creeping back in. I am done. I choose to live victoriously and i hope that all of you will choose to do so as well because it is a choice. Take all of the smarts, talent, and fight that so many of you have and put it to work. We have the soul of a nation to save.

    Good Evening TODVille.

    Hope everyone had a beautiful and productive day. I was so busy at work that this is my first attempt at catching up with the day’s news.

    TRMS is good tonight (as it was last night). Dr. Maddow has made it her mission to uncover all that needs to be known (and that is hidden) about those nominations from the Jackass-Elect. It is worth knowing the truth behind those radicals that are taking over the government at all levels.

      GE JO’B.

      A link to this NYTimes article was posted here on previous thread.

      Article has been slightly updated after PBO’s visit to Walter Reed (originally posted before his trip there today). Ignore Elliot A. Cohen, who sounds like a class1 jerk (looked at his twitter timeline and it appears he and Black Water Dog got into a bit of a spat today 😦 ).

      Of course this article doesn’t have the clickbait potential of DJT hosting #AppreticeSeason(POTUS)45 to humiliate #NoTermMitt, but hard to see any past or future President doing this:

      “In June, Mr. Obama visited the hospital’s physical therapy room, where amputees learn to walk again. One double-amputee gave him a push-up challenge, and Mr. Obama promptly shed his suit jacket, dropped to the floor and reeled off more than 20. Still wearing dress shoes, he joined another in jumping onto a 30-inch box.

      ‘I can’t even put into words how impressed I was,’ said Lt. Cmdr. John Terry, known as Jae, an amputee whose photo of himself doing lunges with Mr. Obama is among his most treasured possessions. ‘I will remember that day until I die.'”

        Lot of faults with out system arapaho, but no-one goes bankrupt from medical bills and ALL treatment in public hospital emergency rooms is at zero charge to the recipient – likewise if you are admitted – zero charges. I cannot imagine life without such medical cover.

      Looks like Mary Fallin will be his Interior Sec….

      • 90 desertflower
        November 30, 2016 at 8:28 am

        An advocate of oil and gas development, Fallin signed a bill last year that would prevent Oklahoma cites from enacting bans on drilling.

        Fallin is a staunch critic of the Obama administration’s climate change regulations for power plants. She signed an executive order last year saying that her state will not comply with the rules.

        Fallin has faced criticism from environmental groups for her stance on climate change. In 2013, she questioned whether climate change was to blame for the state’s drought. “It’s just nature itself and the patterns that flow and so we’re going to continue to pray for rain in the state of Oklahoma and hope we that we get some relief,” she told a local radio station.
