Same. I don’t trust that woman if you paid me $1M. I hope the Clinton Camp does an independent assessment – separate from Jill Stein and others.

Finally, the President pardons the turkeys! With the goofiest jokes in the world!!

Literally felt like I couldn’t get into anything else, until I witnessed his last pardon(s). #Obot

GA DF, Happy Thanksgiving eve to you, loved ones and family.

Stein is another Russian agent, so don’t trust her at all…

There have been tweets posed about Jill Stein’s connections to Russia (can’t find now, and have to run). Americans, Dems in particular, need to stay alert to foreign entanglements that now, unfortunately, must be central to our way of thinking about domestic politics.

She’s a wacko, I know….Just want this challenged and looked into in any way possible. Our country depends on this…or everything we hold dear to us, and true, will be gone. We can make them own it all, but, I fear it will be too late.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, as well, arapaho:)

Agree Stein’s a wacko, but maybe this is the way to do it, to keep Hillary out of it. Whatever works!

There’s so much to concern all Americans concerned about our children about DJT’s Secretary of Education nominee.

    Here’s just a few:

    Fools all

…the Trump administration and congressional Republicans are getting ready to move on their highest priorities, cutting taxes for the wealthy, scrapping oversight on Wall Street, and lightening regulations on big corporations.

Imagine you’re one of those folks who went to Trump rallies and thrilled to his promises to take America back from the establishment, who felt your heart stir as he promised to torture prisoners, who got your “Trump That Bitch” T-shirt, who was overjoyed to finally have a candidate who tells it like it is. What are you thinking as you watch this?

If you have any sense, you’re coming to the realization that it was all a scam. You got played. While you were chanting “Lock her up!” he was laughing at you for being so gullible. While you were dreaming about how you’d have an advocate in the Oval Office, he was dreaming about how he could use it to make himself richer. He hasn’t even taken office yet and everything he told you is already being revealed as a lie.

How flipping cute are PBO´s nephews, seriously?
Also, the older one bears some striking resemblance. I had to think of this adorable photo here:

      November 23, 2016 at 4:13 pm

I think the boys are related on FLOTUS’ side. They are Craig Robinson’s kids. But you’re right, the older one sorta reminds me of POTUS around the same age. 🙂

  12. November 23, 2016 at 4:42 pm

    Pretty Foot

Here is a rough fix of what I am working on for the T-shirt I am creating for PBO. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. But I am creating this T-shirt and will wear it every time I am going to the store, large gatherings where I have to stand in a line with folks behind me, especially here in my Red District.

If anyone wants a T-shirt, let me know, I will get one for you when it is completely ready.

you know how president obama can be so cool and calm even big stuff is about to happen. people closest to him don’t even know sometimes, such as the bin laden raid. still holding out he’s got some info on the voting/russia interference that’s going to drop before any electoral college vote happens. a person can dream, yes?

      yes we can all dream.

my only thought in this case is that PBO also takes the job of protecting this nation as one Union very seriously.

it is from this angle that I suspect he will do what he can to preserve it while protecting it from all enemies foreign and domestic

  32. November 23, 2016 at 7:52 pm

Good evening (or morning as the case may be) TOD ….

“Sometimes a voice from the past seems to speaks with uncanny clarity across the ages.

A friend shared a poem with me recently from the great American writer Langston Hughes that was written in dark times (1935), in the height of the Great Depression, in a deeply segregated America with the fury of fascism brewing around the globe. In an odd echo to a recent campaign slogan, this poem is entitled “Let America Be America Again” but the picture it paints of our nation is one of an incomplete compact between the promise of its founding ideals and the reality for so many marginalized citizens.”

Full text at the link in the tweet, including Langston Hughes’ poem ….

the only thing that keeps me doubtful about the possibility of the impeachment for the demagogue happening is that there is no person in the elected gop who has either the courage or the conscience to do it.

that means that ordinary people have to be relentless & focused as they take the difficult steps to gain the numbers in congress and fury on the street and in the courts.

Dear friends, yes, I had a good birthday. Thank you all for our best wishes and support this past year. I can honestly say, I am in a much better place emotionally than a year ago, and you played a big part in the process of recovery. The TOD visit to D.C. last June began my coming back to life, I would say.

May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Like President Obama, it is my favorite holiday. Maybe that’s because I was born on Thanksgiving day. Instead of a turkey, my mom got me. 🙂

Dearest Carolyn, So glad you have had a good day. Even better that you are stronger this year. Time does have a way! Our grief facilitator always said that time is our worst enemy and our best friend. I didn’t quite ‘get’ it then but do now.

The most touching, but heart-breaking thing that I have seen this mess began, was the video of Mayor Bill de Blasio assuring the diverse citizens of his city that they would be protected and cared for and that they would resist and not follow through on any of the horrific fascist actions being proposed by the Trump kakistocracy. Touching because it gave me hope and heart-breaking because it was necessary. People in red states will not be protected; indeed there will be many who would gladly volunteer to carry out the most heinous acts against the most vulnerable. One truth of this election is that many will learn just how precious is their right to vote; that it is a serious obligation that must be carried out will all gravity and as much knowledge as possible. They will really see, how/why it matters who is put in the local, state, and national offices. That these decisions really are life and death. The other good thing about all of this is that repubs. can no longer make the character argument. They have happily elected the most vile, immoral, godless, lying, cheating, criminal, care-for-no-one-but-himself individual to ever have the office. Just as sane people rue this evil time, so will they before all of this is over.

PS If anyone is thinking of getting a new laptop for Christmas, do not buy the HP Envy.

    • 97 globalcitizenlinda
      November 23, 2016 at 8:41 pm

      I saw that video and it broke my heart;

I also said here a number of days ago that this election has been clarifying for so many people who take their duties of citizenship and the fragility of this nation so casually.

I said that this may turn up to be a cleansing period during which we make some additional progress on protecting the rights of everyone.

It may also be a chance for more activism by those who had checked out of the struggle for a more perfect union.

thanks for the tip on the laptop

    as i try to complete a paper that is long overdue, I am having fun I had not expected tonight;

source of the smiles is by checking the Twitter activity going on between the Deplorables and the people who are soliciting for or donating to Jill Stein for the promised vote recount.

so far over $ 1.16 million has been raised … and there is some colorful back and forth between those for and against the possibility that it may happen.

guess people are not going to have as quiet a Thanksgiving as they had planned or hoped for
