Pretty sure nepotism would prevail and since he’s not able to be “hired,” how the hell can he first take an oath before being able to see top secret material about the United States of America?

Sorry – dems are kidding themselves if they think the rat’s administration + congress will do anything that supports what PBO has done. Dems ALWAYS reach out and republicans always walk away laughing.

I am reading such b.s. in our media about the president elect and his mistress. They are not worthy in any way – I cannot stop alternating between being angry beyond sanity and weeping non stop.

The media is going to legitimise this idiot and dems are going to help the process along.

  10. November 16, 2016 at 4:34 pm

Bob (or anyone else), PLEASE help–again. I shared all the links you all gave me re the Iran deal with my husband. I asked if he read them. He said he read “most of them.” 😦 Fast forward to few minutes ago. I walked by his desk and saw this article he had printed. The link:
http://www.newsday.com/opinion/a-year-later-why-the-iran-nuclear-deal-has-failed-1.12058250. You can see it says it has failed.

The only conclusion you can draw from that is that the administration was more afraid its critics would tear up the deal than it was of future Iranian violations. It avowedly sees the deal as the foreign policy equivalent of Obamacare: a legacy achievement.

And that’s why the deal is a failure. It was based on a fantasy about the Iranian regime. Now the deal is like a statue in the desert: a legacy that testifies only to the illusions of those who built it.

That’s the last two paragraphs. Can someone who understands this better than I help me–just me. I’m not saying anything to him. He is convinced it is a failure and nothing will change his mind. He’s convinced Obamacare is a failure too. Sigh…………..Last thing I need to be dealing with.

Don’t know if there’s many @Dodgers fans here (waving to MTMarilyn, who I would have been soooo jealous of in the 1960s/70s because she attended many Dodger home games), but this made our much-loved Josh Earnest’s day:

    Here’s the video:

I grew up in southern CA in the 60s and 70s, so of course the Dodgers were our team.. so much so that our teachers would often put their games on the radio during classes.

        November 16, 2016 at 6:22 pm

Wow, sherijr, had no idea you’re a SoCal gal.

Vin was an institution at LA Dodgers games. Back in the day, when I could tolerate the horrific traffic jams to watch the games at Dodger stadium, seemed that his broadcasts were playing throughout the stadium (people with their transistor radios). Pretty hard to beat sunsets and views from Dodger Stadium.

Is it culture shock living on the east coast now?

I grew up in Westminster from 1961 to 1972- we moved up to northern CA when I was 15. I then raised my two eldest kids up there. We’ve moved a lot since those days. CA will always be my home. Nothing compares, no place compares. I’ve lived in FL, ND, AZ, MD and CO since 1996 and CA is still the best imo 🙂 and yes culture shock everywhere I’ve been, lol.

I remember a CNN article in 2008. CNN reporter traveled to China to talk with a man that had a gift of predicting the future and he can also
tell you everything about a persons personality by looking at a picture of them. He said that people are drawn to Obama. His eyes and eyebrow
draws people in. Huckabee was very weak and Romney was secretive. He told them the winner of the election for 2008 but the reporter will not
say who.. they did use Obama’s picture for the article so i thought he was the one. The end of this interview is what got my attention and
stayed with me all these years. The Chinese gentleman said that Obama will be the most powerful man in the world in 10 years time!
That is 2 years away. What do you think about that? I am hoping that someone else would have seen this as well.”

So, I believe this with all my heart. Just today, the Greek president (I believe it was) asked PBO to stay in the public eye for the sake of our future. Trust that he will be “That One” !

Hugs to you, Linda. Take care of yourself. ❤ Think many of us are in the five stages of grief – and I personally will never get to the last stage of "acceptance," I don't think. Yesterday, I accidentally heard (from another room) Mark Halperin's voice asking somebody if President Obama was responsible for something or other … immediately I flipped off the teevee, but within minutes started to get a vascular headache and even saw stars for a bit. Took a couple of aspirins and it went away. I have only gotten that type of headache when I am really upset about the unfairness of somebody to somebody in my real life, and then only maybe once a year or something! So, today, I avoided allowing myself to listen to more, and have only come online to TOD and twitter this evening.

Of course, arriving at TOD is like meeting friends at the ice cream parlor! So glad we have this meeting place. I'll take salted caramel topping on mine, please.

(Damn obstructionist GOP, who would vote for TPP in a heartbeat if it hadn’t been negotiated and closed by PBO.)

    • November 16, 2016 at 8:25 pm

China is stepping in to fill the void of the demise of TPP. Their agreement is called RCEP and it covers trade in goods, services, investment, econ & tech co-op, IP, competition, dispute settlement

      • 107 arapaho415
        November 16, 2016 at 8:38 pm

        GE Meta.

PBO has made it clear that this is China’s intent, but was wondering why Australia’s trade minister would rather align with China than the US.

Is it a matter of geography, because Australia is in a similar (though far southern) part of the world?

        • November 16, 2016 at 8:48 pm

Now that the TPP is dead, there’s nothing to align with.

        • 109 FoxfireTX
          November 16, 2016 at 8:52 pm

GE Arapaho. Don’t think that they would, China had started this push a number of years ago but it was stalled while PBO worked on TPP. Since the election, it seems pretty clear that TPP is dead so China started pushing again on November 9. This is perhaps going to be a our biggest foreign loss given the accelerating trade in that part of the world. Fools, all.

Why was he meeting with a foreign leader at this time? He can’t even handle his transition.

      • November 16, 2016 at 8:36 pm

Exactly. It doesn’t make any sense. But then he’s thoroughly disorganized, not a logical person capable of understanding what it means to prepare for the presidency. So many mental deficiencies……

    • 113 FoxfireTX
      November 16, 2016 at 8:55 pm

And no prep by State so who knows what he will say that is contrary to US interests. The most dangerous thing about DT is he is wholly ignorant of what he doesn’t know, and still is too stupid to keep his mouth shut. Crazy to do this without State involvement and briefing, most of those folks are not political.

      • November 16, 2016 at 9:17 pm

I think as these meeting roll along, he’s going to look more and more like a deer in headlights. Remember when he met with Pena Nieto? Can you imagine him at the G7 (without Putin) or G20???

          November 16, 2016 at 9:23 pm

Honestly? No,my imagination is not big enough to contemplate this. All I can think of is how all the world leaders wanted to be with PBO and hung on every word he said. The contrast consistently is going to be both striking and embarrassing.

Horror show indeed. And our frigging MSM are eating it up — really thought they would change after they were duped into an informercial for Trump DC hotel (when he said 6 words and was absolved for 2+ years of leading #birtherism).

This pretty much sums up MSM’s twitter timelines today — 100% tabloid gossip, and they eat it up and spit it out like the parrots that DJT wants them to be.

Good for Hillary. She is giving her speech tonight, being covered by MSNBC.

Good because (and forgive me for even bringing this shallow thought up) she appears to have absolutely no makeup on, but for a little blush, and her hair is just combed but not styled. I think she’s sending a signal. Who knows! The signal might be I am no longer a public figure, I shall be myself. Or – unfortunately – she just may be as tired as she appears tonight, and isn’t up to anything much.

I wish her all the best.

I know I’ve complained about so much discussion of DJT, since MSM right now is pretty much updating us now on so much gossip and BS (my twitter timeline is filled with celebs going in and out of T tower — about to scream because who the hell cares?

As we expected, DJT’s team has taken the office of the presidency straight into the gutter:

Think I’ll join myself. He said membership is $20 but they’ll take any amount, since they are looking for people not dollars, at this point.
