I am so pissed this morning, I’m reading about all the Democrats in office vowing to work with Trump, to reach across the aisle and work with Republicans. If only these same motherfuckers had the fucking backbone to support President Obama when he was in office we wouldn’t be in this fucking calamity. I’m looking at you Bernie Sanders and the rest of you fuck stick Democrats.

Agreed, they never really supported him. I will never forget how they were so proud of themselves for overriding his VETO.

    • November 10, 2016 at 9:15 am

I agree with you Don about Democrats who did not have the backbone to support President Obama. That has been my beef, especially during the mid-terms when they were running away from his accomplishments.

But FLOTUS’s, “When they go low, we go high,” comes to mind as well. We do not want another 4 years of gridlock, threats of government shut downs, etc. There will be a time for Democrats to fight and I will be angry if they act as wusses when they should be obstructing and filibustering, etc. But for those things that they can hopefully agree on, like creating jobs and repairing/upgrading the infrastructure, then they should. And if, somehow, they can convince the Republicans to *repair* and not *repeal* the ACA and to keep those things that are extremely important — like the pre-existing condition clause, or children being on their parents’ plan until 26, or the no ceiling clause, then they should reach across the aisle.

But again, they can’t be wusses when they need to have a backbone. They can’t just do their jobs sometimes and then want people to praise them because they are FINALLY doing what they should be doing EVERYDAY! It can’t just be a handful of Democrats who are willing to step up and be, not only vocal, but active. It has to be ALL of them. They can’t take the loyalty of their supporters for granted. They can’t wait until a week or two before an election and finally remember who their constituents are. They need to start NOW while the emotions are strong and then maintain the momentum…keep us all motivated and inspired by doing what they, as leaders, should be doing. And by the way, the DNC needs to have a leader who is not holding office. Someone who doesn’t have to worry about conflicts between the party and their district. I think that is one of the weaknesses the DNC has had over the years.

I hope Donna Brazile stay on as head of the DNC. Just watch the Senate GOP change the rules and get rid of the filibuster now that they hold the reigns of all branches of government. The Democrats won’t be able to do anything to prevent their horrible platform from becoming law. Stupid Americans rewarded their scorched-earth obstruction. They won’t like what’s coming which will be all about protecting the power and privilege of extremely wealthy white men.

I read where the Republicans will try to voucherize Medicare again. Woe is me and all other Medicare recipients if that happens. My understanding of that is there is a paltry amount given for each year like $2000 which would not cover much of anything.

I’m avoiding all political news unless it’s about:

      1) President Obama or the First Family
      2) How we got into this unthinkable mess, and what we can do to correct course

Everything else is speculation and self-promotion grandstanding.

The big picture is that things are worse than they appear.

  5. November 10, 2016 at 8:38 am

With all the protests, I wonder how many people did what the people in the UK did regarding Brexit…lodge their protest vote (or not vote) thinking that HRC would still win. They were warned…every vote counts…every vote matters.

  6. November 10, 2016 at 8:47 am

I’m still pissed, because I will never understand how people could elect something like that thing. And I can not believe that people saw what kind of person he is, but yet they wasted their vote by voting for someone else or they just didn’t vote. So if things get bad under the Republicans, to these people you are the blame. Oh I wish they could hear me. And Don why don’t you contact you Congress person or Senator if it’s a Dem, and tell them how you fell about this. 2009 the GOP weren’t pledging to work with the Dems, even though we face a crisis. Well to the Dems, I say don’t act like wimps and bow down to those Republicans and that thing they elected. I am so dam disappointed in this country.. .

You figure in the protest vote and those that voted for a third party candidate and there you have it.

      • November 10, 2016 at 9:20 am

Not to mention the large chunk that skipped the selection for President and only voted down-ticket.

I’m sorry. I still can’t see what it is about HRC that people find so abhorrent. I know the media has played a big part in how she is perceived. But when you can’t pinpoint what it is you don’t like about her, or can only regurgitate what you’ve heard (she lies…email…) or “I just don’t like her,” I have a problem with that.

        • November 10, 2016 at 11:52 am

That is the ‘both sides are equally bad’ crap that was spewed by the GOP and many Sanders supporters. They fell for the lies the GOP has spread for years and were proud of themselves for their discernment. I have some people on my facebook feed that were gloating all day yesterday about how this was the DNC’s fault for rigging the primaries for Clinton and if Sanders had run he would have defeated Trump. And of course Sanders would have gone down in flames in the first 3 minutes of the general election. The money quote for me was “I went to yoga before I voted and had a moment of such clarity! My conscience is clear and my hands are clean.” Of course she voted for Jill Stein. Today it’s “Now you see how WE felt when Bernie lost the rigged primaries!”. No I don’t, because the primaries weren’t rigged and Clinton was by far the best candidate and the DNC wanted to win, not unleash all the powers of Hell. Sanders has a lot to answer for in ginning up this paranoid conspiracy and anti-Clinton sentiment. And then whey he did speak for her (I didn’t listen to much of it) it seemed like it was all vote against Trump not vote for Clinton. His endorsement was very weak tea as far as I’m concerned and of course his supporters immediately decided he’d been corrupted anyway. I am bemused to read again all their love for Sanders and think then why didn’t you listen when he said vote for Clinton and Elizabeth Warren (another saint) said vote for Clinton and President Obama said vote for Clinton if you want my legacy to to stand. And they LOVED President Clinton but I guess figured they knew best about keeping his legacy. I’m trying not to focus on them and instead focus on the people who voted for Trump because they believed in his platform of white supremacy, but it’s hard when they keep shoving themselves forward.

          • November 10, 2016 at 2:59 pm

This election may have been a glimpse of things to come…There are NEW RULES whether we want them or not; whether they are official or not.

The DNC needs to start NOW getting ready for the mid-terms and for 2020…coming up with lessons learned…identifying potential candidates… at this point *I* can’t think of anyone who is ready and *likely* to run. They really do need to stop taking their base supporters for granted while at the same time broaden their demographics. Right, wrong, or indifferent, there were issues that were raised and should be addressed; whether it’s coming to an understanding of why things are done the way they are, or accommodating where reasonable, the concerns raised. We shouldn’t go into another primary season where campaigns attempt to change the rules in the middle of the game…especially when there are those that think rules are just guidelines, and that you can deviate from them on a whim.

Regardless of what I think of Hillary Clinton, whether I liked her or not, were I able to have voted in the US election I would have voted for her as I believe she had a better view of the future for America and the world. At least she is a competent public servant and would have upheld much of, if not all of the good work that President Obama has worked so damned hard to achieve during his amazing presidency
Historically she pissed me off during the primaries in 2008 but was a great SoS and has the integrity to run the country, unlike the buffoon who won.
The media is so skewed for the Republicans it is unreal and people who buy into all their crap get what they deserve, it is just a travesty that the sane and decent folk of America have to have this dangerous man foisted onto them.

          Sorry for the rant.

    Bringing over….

Good morning…well, I took that Benedryl and slept like a baby, so there’s that:) I still think of the horror..talked to my hubby this morning. Although he voted for Hillary, he is of the ignorant, clueless mind that this will all work out. That this is what we do every 4 years and America spoke and we change back and forth ALL the time and we’re still here. How fucking ignorant and simplistic. Now I know that HE doesn’t really understand and I can’t really share my frustrations and anger with him because he will poo poo it. Great! And when the dominos start to fall….I will look straight at him and loudly proclaim “I TOLD YOU!” so that maybe he will get a damn clue to the severity of what will continue to happen. The fact that I LEFT MY JOB in ’08 to volunteer for Barack Obama because I believed in him that strongly…(leaving a job in ’08 was hard! We were losing 800,000 jobs a month) All the blood, sweat, tears that went into the work…the love and care and compassion….GONE! Part of ME feels like it got taken away by this buffoon! He is not my president. Never my president. I will not heal from this. I will plot and go on, but I will NEVER heal from this. I knew that PBO was a once in a lifetime President, but I felt better knowing that at least Clinton would respect the work that was done and preserve his accomplishments. The buffoon will not, and with each dismantling of something that we all worked so hard to accomplish together, it will be a personal affront, a personal tear at my heart, a personal affront to my hard work. OUR hard work we all did together. I will live in fear for myself and others for the next 4 years. I will. I will feel that way because I have empathy for others that aren’t like me. No one would look at me and think that I would need to be afraid of anything, but I will be terrified. For friends, for coworkers, for people I don’t even know…. The fact that I do not feel like I even know this country, scares the crap out of me. I thought I knew, but I was wrong. I thought that the good people outweighed the bad…the thoughtful and caring/compassionate outweighed the ignorant, racist assholes. Call me stupid. Hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s ok, my eyes are wide fucking open now. I see them, yes I do.

So, first I will savor the remaining couple months of PBO and this amazing First Family. I will revel in the magnificence of this time left. Then, I will train my sights on making sure that the swamp gets drained. We ALL need to make sure the swamp gets drained! Pull out those bedroom slippers and work our asses off to get this done, again. The work toward the more perfect union takes work. Hard, excruciating work…kept up, day after day, month after month, year after year. We can never give up. Never give in to the ugly cynics. We trudge forward because the President that we love and admire wouldn’t have it any other way. I do that in his name.

Love you all. I need this place to be here. I can’t have another important thing taken from me right now. I hope that NW and Chips can keep the light on for us.

Because I see the photo here of PBO and VP Biden, I am also reminded of the great respect that they have for one another. I do believe that when the place holder president is in office, that respect will not be shown for those with a POV that differs from them. We saw that for the last two years in his raves, that he called rallies,as he traveled the country. The lack of respect for human beings will be gone. Terrifies me.

We’ve gone through things created by an Republican State and we we stronger together. But it took a tole on me physically and mentally. For my daughter’s sake I can’t let her believe what Trump’s presidency will do to this country. She suffers from anxiety and depression. she was so visibly shaking on Monday night. She’s better today. We will get through this together, and we will work to protect our union so it works for all of us.

  9. November 10, 2016 at 8:56 am

I think about how badly President Obama was treated during his presidency, and how much worse (it seems) that Hillary Clinton was treated just as a candidate with threats of more if she were elected… and I see the bright side *for her*.

Hillary Clinton would, hopefully, no longer be subjected to the cruelty she has experienced for trying to help, not herself, but others. The threats of harm from the Trump crazies will go away as they move on to the next “target”. She will not have the stress of dealing with the Republicans and their political games. She will have time to be a grandmother and enjoy those precious toddler years before they are lost. She can (and I’m sure will) continue with her foundation, doing good and doing it her way…without the restrictions that would be imposed as President. The Clintons and the Obamas could possibly do projects together; something that would not have been possible while she was President.

And the results of this election will potentially make people step up as PBO intended when he said “Yes WE Can.” We will have to look out for each other. Already, people are talking about contributing to organizations that may be needed under a Trump (Pence) administration. People will probably look to their churches and communities more for aid and survival. President Obama has already gotten us to pay attention…so the things that might once have been a given for the Republicans to accomplish will not happen without scrutiny and push back. I believe the things we learned under President Obama’s leadership will be put into action.

Morning TODers. I love President Obama with all my heart and have tried to model myself on him when possible. But I can’t bring myself to forgive or forget What that monster and his criminal cohorts have done to this country. I will do my part to look out for those who will suffer most from this horrendous and tragic event, especially those who will be denied medical care because of drastically high costs and –once again–a pre-existing condition. Tens of thousands, if not millions of people will now die, because people chose to believe the worst about a remarkable woman and the best about a criminally incompetent man. I cannot forgive those who voted for him or chose not to vote for president. Whatever dire consequences befall them, they deserve it. Unfortunately the rain falls on the just as well as the unjust and in the historically disastrous times ahead of us many of the “just” will drown.

I think you are being realistic. I don’t think the President is asking for us to forgive this travesty or to not understand the consequences. I think he is asking for calm and for us to focus like a laser on continuing to build our coalition of Light and respect, empowering and including, looking for any way each day to continue to build this amazing movement of hope and love. Yes We Can. I really love knowing that Hillary Clinton is another person I can add to the list of leaders that get what this is all about. She is a true member of our community of people that are aware of what we have been trying to do. I love her for it and will hold her in my heart forever. I hope we can find a way to keep all of our cherished leaders pointing out a way forward for us. They are our wonderful public service elders. I am so proud to be associated with them and what they represent. I will resist the fascism, hatred and abuse with all my heart and try to find ways to circle around all those that don’t deserve to be treated the way they may be treated under these maliciously insecure sociopaths. For all those that were fascist collaborators or bystanders I have no desire to be around them. I live in a rural GOP area and most people I know I don’t want to see anymore. Hopefully some brave and honorable people will be coming into my life to keep me company. I spent some time with people like that over the GOTV time making calls.

I will be smart about it because I feel these people are ruthless and dangerous. No, I am not a Nazi sympathizer nor will I contribute one thing to their reign of horror. 1. Economic boycott: My current targeted boycott will become a complete discretionary spending boycott. Where possible not one thin dime will be contributed to the trump economy. Any discretionary spending will be conducted with small business that share my values.

    2. Cutting ties to cable. Not going to support the corporations that gave us this disaster. Cutting phone and internet to the minimum plan that will suit my needs.

    3. Increase my participation financial support of cultural institutions, civil rights groups, etc.

    4. Incorporate the Panthers 10 point program in engaging and educating my family and community.

This list is a work in progress.

What pisses me off is I find myself in the position of unfortunately saying to family and friends, “I told you so.” More on that, later…

Sorry, I know that our beloved present and forever in our minds First Lady Michelle Obama would tell me to “go high” but the Obamas are far stronger, bigger people than I am. SMDH ….

Updated poll numbers 231,556,622 eligible voters

    46.9% didn’t vote

    25.6% voted for Clinton
    25.5% voted for Trump
    1.7% voted for Johnson

Why more than 80 million Americans won’t vote on Election Day

Voter turnout in 2016 looks low so far — and that may have helped Donald Trump

Hillary’s total is going to go way up when CA finishes counting the votes. Right now it says “100%” reporting, but during the primary it took them weeks to finish counting.

    • November 10, 2016 at 12:43 pm

The “didn’t vote” part includes many who wanted to, but couldn’t. Let’s not try to blame this on Democratic voters. A lot of the vote suppression is subtle. This is what my friend wrote this morning. She was the head of her precinct and had many voters who had been misinformed or not given vital information. This is in Michigan where Clinton lost by .3%

Honestly i am ready to go rogue. We democrats need to play hardball, and give them a taste of their own medicines. I say forget bipartisan nonsense. We need to hold democratic officials to fire and demand that they stand together in opposing everything that the republican proposes. And any democrats in congress that do not listen and rubberstamp Trump’s policies should be primaried. I am not sorry!

Damn right! The Republicans used every goddamn trick in the book to obstruct President Obama.

    • November 10, 2016 at 12:00 pm

I will not become them. I am with Nancy Pelosi when she said they will consider all ideas, agreeing with those that will help people and advance our values, and obstructing those that do not. And since helping people and advancing democratic values are not on their agenda, I doubt there will be much cooperation. However, it’s important that we do not say as they did, we will obstruct everything no matter what. Right now we have a party that does not believe in democracy and wants to drown government in a bathtub. We don’t need two parties doing it. Also I don’t see any upside for Democrats to go against the party. They can’t go farther right that the right wing people are in now. Their only choice is to identify with the party of opposition.

      • 92 Obama Grandmama
        November 10, 2016 at 12:12 pm

I do not want to identify with belonging to a party that goes low like the GOP, but the problem about that is for all the blocking and obstructing the GOP did they were still rewarded. The lack of progress was put to blame on the party in power not those obstructing.

        • November 10, 2016 at 12:57 pm

And now they are the party in power and we are the ones obstructing. And they obstructed everything on purpose no matter what. We won’t end up having to cooperate much, because their agenda is not to help the country.

        • November 10, 2016 at 1:06 pm

That point Is exactly what John Dean points out in his book. He says it’s the pattern they use, over and over and over for many years. He then gives documented examples of those things.

    • November 10, 2016 at 2:07 pm

The thing is, they have given us the blueprint as to what works, and we have ignored it. I’m not talking the negative s#^t, I’m talking being engaged in the WHOLE political process! WHY DO WE NOT SEE AND FOLLOW?

As most of you have stated …I am also in a state mourning for what could have been…

but i will take a message from both Hillary and the President…to keep my chin up..love and hope in my heart…..but what i will also do is keep my marching shoes on,,,this is not the time to give into despair…for there will be a need for warriors…organizers….

every year this is an election….every year we have a chance to change who sits in the seats…all is not loss

we cannot throw in the towel and wash our hands of politics ..our country need us…as has been stated…there are millions of folks who are not engaged …did not vote….

our challenge now is to engage them…and to keep others engaged….

    we cannot give up….

i think of Congressman Lewis…and the marchers in Selma…who made ready to cross Pettus Bridge yet again…knowing what they faced….

I cannot allow..I will NOT this to defeat my spirit…I have the strength of Kings and Queens in my wings…..

    Yes WE Still Can!

Let Us March On Til Victory Is Won!

Hello TOD Family. Thank you Chipsticks for this haven and thank you NerdyWonka for keeping the doors open and the lights on and the words and insights and lamps of spirit and insight and power lit. You are a treasure beyond expression. I have no words — but I am reading all of y’all’s words, and retweeting and sharing on FB what stands out as worthy and essential. Today there are projects and jobs that must get done, so I am making piles and lists and pushing myself to do those actions despite the fog and sorrow and heavy heart. Thank you for your powerful truthful words, Don. In no way is it time to sing Kum Ba Ya and mouth platitudes about how the election was mean and now we need to sing the Coke Song in Har-Mo-NEEEEE. No way. Our mighty noble high-integrity brave and compassionate President got not one SECOND of hands-across-the-aisle and High Road, not one, for 8 long years. I will never overlook or paper over what this monster-toddler said about our President and about my friends and neighbors and fellow human beings who are Muslim, POC, disabled, female, or how he ginned up murderous rages at our candidate, while receiving star treatment and inappropriate respect from the press and the public. I guess I found some words. He has taken none of it back; and the Republican platform as Tally pointed out includes horrifying plans against our National Parks, reproductive rights, and more. We won the popular vote. I take pride and a tiny 1/4 teaspoon of comfort in that. Then there’s the fact that 52% of white women Voted FOR this viscious lazy callous arrogant dishonest sleazy sexual predator and active racist entity. And 62% of white men but that’s more expected. Do NOT let the lie of “economic anxiety” and “not being heard by Washington” go unchallenged. When did that Pillotex factory here in North Carolina close down and take all those jobs away? Was that last year? 2012? 2007? Nope, it was 2003, and it was one of the last. To be able to pin this on blue collar workers whose jobs went to China, with the entire fiction of that spewed by a lying tax cheating bigoted creep whose OWN name-businesses do all ALL of their business with overseas entities? How is this possible? How can lying and cheating and stealing and breaking most of the 10 Commandments and being married to someone who came in illegally and worked without papers —- how can that person be accepted and lifted to the highest office in the world? White Supremacy is a very very big strong powerful machine. I knew it was bad, but I did not see how bad it was. I am white so I got to be naive and optimistic. This is a sad, hard, ugly day.

    • November 10, 2016 at 11:35 am

echoing your thoughts, Nancie. …and while I wasn’t naive, I was, in the face of some troubling indicators, overly optimistic. I’ve spent two mornings on the phone, consoling a 90some year old, white, republican woman. Hillary was her second vote for a democrat; her first was in 2013 when she voted for me after I switched parties. She and her friends voted for Hillary because they wanted to save their children and grandchildren from themselves. After the access hollywood tapes, I asked if they though their daughters and granddaughters votes would change. They said no. She watched the returns with her family, they mistook her tears of anguish for those of joy. This woman who is healthy and spry is actually praying that she dies before January 20th.

The very folks who denigrated a multi-everything coalition, saying we voted for Obama solely because he was Black; made a conscientious decision to vote for trump because he had white skin and a penis. Time and time again, in the struggle for human rights, white women have chosen race over the common good.

***for my TOD Sisters*** in this and future post, please know when I generalize “white women” I’m NOT talking about YOU nor any other true ally. The slipper doesn’t fit; don’t even try it on.

Good morning TOD! As I noted above, I woke up MAD! Actually, after no sleep the night before, when I first woke up I thought Hillary was president-elect, then I remembered. Again, what WE–this country–did is a travesty. Tons of blame to go around, but first and foremost are all those people who did not vote–46.9% I wonder how many of those protesters last night did not vote, and if so they got what they deserved. I really don’t know how we get around this problem. This election was so high profile that it was not “forgetting” or any other such nonsense. They simply decided it was not worth it to take the time to cast a ballot. Well, a good share of them are going to find out very quickly that there is a cost to that.

Second, is the damn media. We all know the problem, and I guess the only way to fix it is for them to lose our business. I am doing my share on that point:-) This tweet of a word cloud says it all.

Third, we have to figure out a way to get to white women in this country. I am perhaps angriest about the fact that 53% of white WOMEN voted for a serial sexual predator. This just blows my mind.

Fourth, there is nothing now that can be done about the damage the GOP is about to wreck on this country and President Obama’s legacy. But at a minimum I expect our D elected officials to FIGHT and not take this laying down. If they aren’t willing to fight the havoc that is coming they need to go as well.

Finally, they ARE going to overreach in short order. We all know it. They simply cannot help themselves. And much of the damage they do will not be able to be fixed, i.e., Obamacare. But we need to start getting ready for 2018 because the country is going to be mad about what has happened.

On a more positive note, I do think this morning that this remains the country I know–we just have some very stupid people–and the underbelly that has been there all along was given permission by the DT campaign to come out. But perhaps this IS what the country needed. Remember, sunlight is the best disinfectant. Perhaps at long last we will confront head on the racism we knew remained. The surprise for me is that so many in this country are sexist as well.

When PBO first to entered office, I recall a republican stating that their strategy was to not allow any democratic president to rule as a democrat. It seems to translate into oppose everything PBO wanted to do. In a way this appears to have worked for them. After 8 years of apparent and very visible disfunction (most of it manufactured) enough of the voting public blamed the democrats, and allowed their candidate to emerge as the “change” candidate. It also meant the vicious and constant demonization of HRC. I am convinced the GOP really craves power, and are prepared to employ every device at their disposal to pursue and hold power. It has corrupted truth, so that many of their supporters do not care about facts, as long as their faction hold power. I really think their strategy (Trump was the beneficiary) was to convince their supporters to come out and ensure power did not pass to or be shared with the diversified americans.

THIS. THIS. THIS. x 100,000,000,000. One of the best political books I’ve ever read is John Dean’s Conscience of a Conservative. The point he makes repeatedly is the R’s desire of power and power alone. Talks a lot about the trait of authoritarianism being so common in many R’s. He points out that they have no desire to govern, don’t want to do that so they really don’t even try.

Also, read Joe Conason wrote a book few years ago about the rise, or coming, of authoritarianism and fascism in America. Think it can’t happen here, America? Think again. It can. That’s a paraphrase of the title, but the idea. Both of these men heavily document the info in their book with facts and truth.

We go forward in good faith, it is true, but fascists will not of that we can be sure. We have the mother of all push backs now because we said Yes We Can to good faith and respecting, empowering and including. This fascism too shall pass because it is not true or honorable. I think we have an ever expanding coalition of the good faithful though. It isn’t easy to remain committed to good faith in the face of evil but the only thing, yes the only thing that can overcome evil is good.

I say to President Obama and to Hillary Clinton now that I understand she is one of us, truly is, we will try to deserve the service you have given us by not ever debasing this cause, or failing to remember what defines our cause, to love everyone but to lift up those that keep the good faith commitment even when others fail them.

Do they not realize it will be Trumps face next to Obama’s on every presidential list from now on? This is just criminal to me. It just makes me so sad for this exemplary man and his family. SMH. Good Morning TOD Family, Lurkers, Nerdy Wonka, & Chipsticks.

We are all coming to grips with what the wealthy white voters, the selfish-do-nothing-non-voters, and female haters have done. They conned our candidate, our President, the pollsters, and media. They KNEW all along that they were voting for this racist, misogynist, homophobe, con-artist to throw us off their plot so Republicans can have their FULL agenda realized. They could not do it with McCain/Palin nor Rmoney/Ryan. My neighbors who normally chat occasionally made it a point to discuss the election. They are both highly educated white couple no children. He is from the UK and she is American. He became a citizen in 2010 so that he could vote! They were completely devastated and fearful. His mum was visiting and could not believe what America has done. He said people are asking what the hell is wrong with America (they should talk). One bright note was they were BOTH committed not to give up to fight for better candidates and vote for more Democrats. We need to keep being engaged probably more than usual. Although I did not give as much of my time to HRC’s campaign I contributed monetarily. Looking back on the way we became “reactionary” to every stupid, foul, despicable thing DT said PBO was right, some of us became distracted. He played the American people for dopes and many took the bait. Just like HRC baited him in every debate that is what he did to us. The GOP knew they were going to steal this election but they were helped by the liars and the DEMs not-voting or those that we’re disenfranchised. I am wondering why it is impossible for those who are looking into this as to why they cannot measure the % of folks who were disenfranchised? I hope some day they will be able to. My neighbor spoke about how a friend tried to “early” vote in SoCal and it took 7hrs! There were so few early voting locations. I would like to make a personal pitch to Sacramento to have early voting locations at every opened library throughout the state. They are already Open, there can be unpaid volunteers to man the booths, students who need to give community service for school credit can volunteer as well. We need to be proactive and non-stop in making Democrats & Independent registered people more involved. Many millennials are registered independent and complain they were not courted by either party. I say that’s all our fault! Dems NEED to court these voters. I would also like to take the MSM out of the equation. I would like to have our candidates instead of doing rallies hold town halls, walk the streets, meet the people on the street (remember when PBO did not?). We can’t control the questions the media focuses on but maybe the Dem party can have their candidate meet with the people directly with questions and answers and upload to YouTube and DEM websites. We do not have a “free press” or responsible news media. They can have all the television debates in the world but I will no longer watch them. Anyway I am bracing myself for the worst to happen because I know it will and it will happen quickly. I am looking at BUSH 2009. They needed a catastrophic event to make American scaredie cats fall in line. I WILL NOT FALL IN-LINE, HE WILL NEVER BE MY PRESIDENT, CALL ME UN-AMERICAN but what the GOP did to PBO during wartime (we were still in Iraq & Afghanistan) and their unrelenting obstruction. I too am mad that the DEMs are going to “cooperate” with DT, I say FOR WHAT! When did the GOP cooperate with PBO? I say use their own tactics. Pretend to go along then when time to vote….pull your vote where it is 100% GOP! Close down the fucking government…it NEVER HURT the GOP!

Better physically, worse mentally. I thought she was a little confused on Sunday because of the clots and the trauma of being taken to the hospital and concern for her son. By yesterday it was full blown paranoia about cameras behind her bed, posting pictures of her on the internet, the FBI investigating her, and having only 3 weeks to live. I spoke to her doctor about what she’d said and told them this wasn’t normal for her. I am very worried. She has little family and most are no help. I stopped watching any news media on teevee back in 2007. I do not subscribe to newspapers. But I do read news online via msn.com, and local Baltimore tv news sources online. I wish I didn’t have to even check those sources. I hate the media and their inability to be truthful and their willingness to cover for this racist pos.

Of course he did, but this country put into office a guy that if he had his way he would burn Planned Parenthood down to the ground.

This makes my blood boil and the pressure rise.

Just to see this Jackass next to this noble POTUS kills me.

That comment was extreme sarcasm, not excitement.

OT slightly but I was chatting to a checkout lady in my local supermarket yesterday about the election and, like me, she was scared at the thought of a Trump presidency. Her comments were along the lines of “God help America and God help the world. As a Christian woman she was not being flippant but genuinely asking for God’s help. I have never seen her so angry or afraid. She also said “How can they go from electing someone as good and decent as (President) Barack Obama to an awful reprobate like Trump.”
I think that says it all.

Well, well, well…a Danish friend of mine just provided a link to Danish news where the Russian deputy foreign minister confirms that they were in contact with the Trump campaign during the election. Here’s part of the google translation from the link she provided:

Russia recognizes that it was in contact with Republican Donald Trump’s campaign during the American election campaign.
It says Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Rjabkov to the Russian news agency Interfax.
    – There were contacts, he confirms, but without going into details.
