And the crazy part is Hillary supporters are also enthusiastic about THE MESSAGE. Trump supporters are merely against EVERYBODY he’s against, and are finally getting their last gasp of hate out.
Thank goodness I grew up in a Democratic family, with Democratic values! 🙂
Don’t let anyone say her supporters are not enthusiastic! At the rally today we were fired up and ready to go! Hillary gave a great speech; funny, sincere, and inspiring. Our mayor, Mike Duggan opened it up and Brenda Lawrence, John Conyers, Gary Peters, and UAW president Dennis Williams gave rousing speeches. Rev. Wendell Anthony, president of Detroit brnch of theNAACP, preach to thecrowd and set the tone as he introduced Sec. Clinton. She gave a great speech and looked totally at ease, fresh and happy. I couldn’t believe she’d just come from another rally! She’s 3 years older than me – how does she do it?
It was great, vc! I live in a fairly red area of SE Michigan and many of the people I worked with were Republicans (teachers! go figure!). It was fantastic to be in a huge crowd of happy, informed, friendly, united DEMOCRATS!!! Go blue!
Christie is working out how to stop himself going on trial. Funny that all the GOPERs discussing the so called “crimes” of HRC are soon to be in court. The projection onto others continues unabated.
Just letting campaigns spout talking points without challenging them with the truth is not journalism. Letting the spokesperson talk over the host, change the subject to the opponent and run out the time slot is not only irresponsible to the audience but nonprofessional, showing inexperience, and deplorable (as in Hillary speak). I think if the campaign representative uses this ploy the station should refuse to put them on air for a number of days so there is a consequence for their actions. I also think a similar approach should have been used with televising Trump’s rallies. If he kept using debunked lies either they quit broadcasting his speeches till he quit repeating the lies or they run a disclaimer fact check across the bottom of the screen. Not many people research fact checking on their own. They want to believe what they want to believe.
I have said this so many times, now POTUS said it tonight, if he had said the things Trump said, or done, these same Republicans and the media would have said he is not qualified to be President of these United States. These Trump supporters who have no problem with what Trump have said, would be having a dam fit if Obama said anything like that.
TOD is such a blessing, a life saver through this election. It’s a daily reminder to me that goodness and truth still exist in the world. Thank you NW and all TODers.
I’ll heartily second that sentiment, Bill R! I have shared TOD with many of my friends who have been despairing over daily news for the duration of this election campaign. I always tell them “turn off your TV, and make a habit of checking in on this site (TOD) as often as you can. It will keep you sane, happier, AND much better informed.” I cannot wait for Nov 8th to be behind us. Even though I’m Canadian, I was horrified to discover several months ago that a couple of my obviously extremely uninformed/misinformed friends are Trump supporters. To say that it broke my heart, and made me physically ill is an understatement. And now, this close to the election, I refuse to take any phone calls from those friends, because if we got back onto the topic of DT, I don’t think I could control either my temper or my tongue. And it’s very bad for my blood pressure! My only consolation is that they’re unable to vote in the US election. Thank God for small mercies.
Second, third, fourth…………..what you said, Bill. I can’t imagine surviving this without TOD. I, too, have told so many people about this lovely place.
Thanks to those who responded to my post on last thread about the crazy right-wing link that someone shared on my Facebook page. I knew when I saw the website name, i was some far out right-wing site. Still astounding to me that people believe this S—!! Sorry.
I also agree. TOD is my refuge. The place I go to to avoid a heart attack or insanity. I am living in a rural Oregon community where people are narrow minded and always do the same as their families always have done. Reasoning with them does not work. They do not listen to learn or participate in a discussion they only speak louder escalating their volume to a shouting level. Facts are just propaganda to them. Anything that does not match with their own beliefs is discarded. Trump gets by with his crap with them cuz “Hillary is far worse”. They believe he will surround himself with knowledgeable people even though he has shown by whom he surrounds himself with now not suggesting he would be open to that. They believe he is a successful businessman even with the business history of bankruptcies and stiffing contractors, hiring immigrants instead of Americans, and making and buying materials in and from foreign lands. Unbelievable to me. Thank you TOD for being here. Thank you fellow participants too.
I find it so telling that many many GOP politicians do NOT give their party on their twitter, facebook or web sites. It’s like they don’t want folks to know their party of choice.
OK, “S” just got real! My town of 2800 has a kick-ass team; we turn out our BLUE vote, and are actually door knocking in the surrounding RED towns. In recognition, on Sunday, Chelsea will be door knocking with my team!
This is why the GOP want to cut early voting, polling places, and put other restrictions on voting. Black and Brown people show up and show out to vote when given the opportunity. Thank you, NV for showing what an election process should look like.
This video shouting down one of the Trump kids kills it. Go girls!
Not sure what school this was, but it speaks to a generational, gender and ethnic problem that will be Trump's bequest to the GOP. https://t.co/Z1Z4FUZNZk
At Trump rallies they want to hang the reporters, and Trump eggs them on. That is why if Melania want to do anything about bulling she better start at her house with her husband.
For the first time in this campaign, my heart is singing! Seeing all the Latinos turn out in NV and FL, all those young girls going after Trump Jr, it is time for all to have their voices heard. From the looks of it, the GOP has lost women, POC and millennials for years to come, possibly a generation. And no one is more deserving given what they have pulled with PBO these last 8 years, and now capped off with that disgrace of a candidate. Hallelujah! I was beginning to wonder if the day would ever come when they would pay a price. Just maybe it has arrived.
And with that, off to watch PBO’s interview with Bill Maher!
One of the things that makes me so proud and hopeful is that we (everyone voting for HRC and against the carnival barker) do not cower in fear; that we do not let the msm hype and lies stop us; that we, with our feet, our voices, our prayers, our talents and our individual votes are boldly doing everything to save the country that we love for now and for the future. The GOP forgot that even with gaming the system, it is still one person, one vote and this can make all of the difference. We also have leaders who have courage and heart, who will stand alone if necessary to fight the good fight (I often think of PBO, alone on the stage, taking on the R’s at their own retreat, with cool intellect and sang froid and of HRC, alone, in front of a pack of dogs doing the Benghazi witch hunt for hours without breaking). The privileged white males have lost control of their party; the very dogs that they unleashed have turned on them and they are left to lick the boots of the usurper who has brought the barbarians from outside of the walls into the courtyards.
If it weren’t after midnight here, and if I weren’t 70 years old (playing the age card), I’d take to the streets after that battle cry! It was GREAT. 🙂
As long as we get it done, it does not matter if we are Black or Brown. This talking down of the A-A voting numbers is needlessly divisive. When all is said and done, A-A’s still make up less than 12% of the overall population. Latinos out-number A-A’s. It is all good; we are all here to do our part. So glad that Hispanics/Latinos are stepping up and claiming their place in the U S.
Agree. When I first saw his tweet, I thought I’d add on (not to take away) … but by the end, I got to the point where I also reminded him it’s ALL of us, and as long as we’re all on THE SAME (SANE) TEAM, it’s all good!
I dislike the divisive quality of blaming and crediting groups of people for political wins or losses. I like The Stronger Together meme. I am Native American/White and hate when I hear Whites are electing Trump. I am a Dem voter, an elder and a woman. I am annoyed when I am lumped in with Whites and my vote is not valued as being different than the majority of that group. However, if my being a woman was separated from my race I would think I was in the majority.
I’m a baby boomer – and I hate it when we are lumped together as republicans. I am sure millions of boomer women are voting for Hillary. She is one of them.
A crowd of 50 people waiting outside Cardenas Market. Cheering up the last people coming out from voting. Latino vote woke up #earlyvotepic.twitter.com/FuEQvB1rET
I am puzzle at why black Americans is not turning out to vote. We have had years to see what Trump, the right wing Republicans, and some of Trump supporters are about, and that ought to be reason enough for all of us to come out to vote.
I can not understand how anyone could sit on the sideline. For years we have seen the Republicans and how they treated this President, we have seen what kind of person Trump is, and the people that he attracts, and that ought to be reason enough for all of us to get out and vote.
Obama is consistent in respecting dissenters. I have not seen any other candidate or politician in my lifetime express this level of willingness to put down others’ rebellious actions towards dissenters, not even Hillary.
Good night, JO and to any lurkers who are still awake in the village.
Off to listen to what should be one of the anthems of the past year and this election: Beyoncé’s “Freedom” featuring Kendrick Lamar, then off to bed. I hope to be celebrating with you here late in the hours of 11/8-9 if/when our hopes and dreams come true.
Glad you found it – I started smiling as soon as I watched – seems the stopped clock = Brian Williams. Nicole couldn’t stop laughing & Steve Schmidt (who gave the election to Hillary weeks ago) couldn’t stop staring at Halperin.
Payback time. Waiting for someone to call out Morning Joke for his non stop Trump support (that he denies depending on the polls).
No more of this election’s version of “Good news for McCain” from Halpern, the dick. Yes, I said it. Will not forget that he referred to PBO as one on national television.
Okay, really signing off this time. Good night, all.
Meta’s twitter timeline has good examples of what happened yesterday (i.e., Friday night US PDT time). And of course, there’s apparently no political pundit on Twitter who doesn’t follow the person who sent this tweet, @RalstonsReports, for NV info.
One other thought about Latinos voting in record numbers in NV.
Really pulling for @CatherineForNV to retain Harry Reid’s seat — despite stonewall obstruction by GOP, Harry Reid managed to get the Senate to do the right thing whenever possible.
He’s had PBO’s back for 8 years, his legacy deserves a Dem successor, who will be the first Latina US Senator ever!
Saw a tweet earlier this week that said something to the effect of “Has anyone seen Joe Heck this week? Is he OK?” Don’t know where or what #HeckNo was doing this week, but looking forward to Senator Cortez-Masto.
Link from Jon Ralston mentioned various GOPers spending $$$ to support Heck – after the early voting – seems that was wasted. Hillary has coat tails and Harry Reid has supporters.
I can remember when Ms Chips got mad at folks in 2012 for thinking PBO would lose – so now I am mad at myself for doubting that Hillary would win. Despite all they threw at her – she is a fighter and a big winner. No complaints, no it’s not fair, no talk of voter suppression or cheating – and despite she has every right to complain about the media – she takes them on board her plane & answers questions.
Hillary has so many folks working for her & the fool admits he has none – not even his VP.
Mass data releases, like the Podesta emails, conflate things that the public has a right to know with things we have no business knowing, with a lot of material in the middle about things we may be curious about and may be of some historical interest, but should not be released in this manner.
All campaigns need to have internal discussions. Taking one campaign manager’s email account and releasing it with zero curation in the last month of an election needs to be treated as what it is: political sabotage, not whistle-blowing.

We can’t shrug off these dangers just because these hackers have, so far, largely made relatively powerful people and groups their targets. Their true target is the health of our democracy.
Just heard this on the radio, so thought I’d share.
James Dyson (of Dyson vacuums fame) is opening a 4-year university in Britain for engineering — and will be tuition free. That’s a great way to encourage local engineers — think some of the US billionaires who have more money than they could ever spend should consider doing likewise here. Wouldn’t it be something if you got awarded higher points on an application for not being an affluent white with alumni ties to the school?
While on the subject of billionaires, @CBSradionews quoted Carlos Slim saying that US would suffer rampant inflation if DJT were to win.
I have faith in sane Americans to keep the (true) orange menace and his deplorable supporters at bay.
Good Morning and happy Saturday to all of TOD, thank you as always Nerdy for keeping it going here for all of us.
Cannot wait to vote on Tuesday 🙂 However I am a little worried about our Baltimore City Mayoral race: Catherine Pugh won the Democratic primary.. but Sheila Dixon (an ex-Mayor) refused to accept the outcome and has been pushing a write-in campaign. My concern is that because both are popular, what if they split the votes and we end up with a republican winner? I am certain that this city will be the biggest loser if that happens. I know that Baltimore City is largely Democratic, so don’t know if this is even a real possibility, but I admit I am concerned.
❤️
🤗
Congrats on 1st Pamela!
Congrats on 1st, MightyPamela!
Thanks so much for this post, Nerdy – just caught up in time!
Congrats Mighty P 🙂
Congratulations, Mighty Pamela! Heading off soon for another phone bank to GOTV.
Thank you, Judith!
Just finish listening to hopefully our new Governor Roy Cooper.
Me too. I like him. Hope he beats McCrory.
Okay, POTUS next stop tomorrow is were?
😀 😀 “That’s POTUS.” Little Superman is as smart as his dad!
…and so cute…puts a smile on my face each time I watch it.
GE TODville.
Bittersweet watching PBO on the campaign trail — LOVE it, but know he won’t be doing many more as President. 😦
Add voter “enthusiasm” to the list of things MSM lies and spins to create false narrative in this election:
And the crazy part is Hillary supporters are also enthusiastic about THE MESSAGE. Trump supporters are merely against EVERYBODY he’s against, and are finally getting their last gasp of hate out.
Thank goodness I grew up in a Democratic family, with Democratic values! 🙂

Mark Cuban was there too!
Soooo, a good time was had by all? 🙂 I can just sense it, Maryl!
It was great, vc! I live in a fairly red area of SE Michigan and many of the people I worked with were Republicans (teachers! go figure!). It was fantastic to be in a huge crowd of happy, informed, friendly, united DEMOCRATS!!! Go blue!
Yea! Goooo blue!!!! I can hardly wait for this time on Tuesday.
Not sure who introduced PBO, but he sounds like he’ll be running for office soon…
Yes he will. 😊I have a special tie to NC. It’s where hubby & I spent our first 3 1/2 years og marriage 45+ years ago. First son born there too.
I’m already crying…
Who was the brother that did the intro? Caught the tail end; blew me away!
GE Alycee, hope you’re feeling better, giving your body the rest it deserves.
CarolMae and I agree with you (see just above).
Will have to check the local Charlotte newspaper for info…
I missed the event, but I read that Donovan Livingston would be introducing PBO.
Here’s him speaking at his Harvard graduation ceremony last May. Impressive young man.
So scary to see four Secret Service members surround the President. God protects him, too!
How to tell you’re at a rally where the President’s speaking: everybody in the audience is smiling!!!! #NoHate
YES!
🙂
LOL
Christie probably couldn’t crawl back out from the under the bus Trump threw him under. Good.
Christie is working out how to stop himself going on trial. Funny that all the GOPERs discussing the so called “crimes” of HRC are soon to be in court. The projection onto others continues unabated.

Bridgegate juror: Christie should have been on trial
“Stay tuned,” as they say.
Media Coverage matters.
Their constant distortions while reporting about HRC is a huge contributor to Voters misunderstanding of her.
Just letting campaigns spout talking points without challenging them with the truth is not journalism. Crowd at this Charlotte rally estimated to be ~ 8,500.
Since 2012, I tried to warn folks about Lil’ Nate….
Yes, you did HF. Nate is a fraud.
Not to mention when HRC was up by 12, @JoeNBC said he was never a trump supporter – hahahahaha
Did you see BW takedown of Halperin hf? I didn’t think Williams had it in him.
It was glorious watching the dick who called The President a dick on live television (and kept his job) get his ass read on live tv.
First time I’ve ever seen Brian Williams take on anyone. Mark the derp didn’t see it coming.
The president sure does make a lot of sense in this interview ..
Then at ten he’s on bill maher show👊
Excellent interview by Rev Al with PBO tonight on Chris Hayes. The rest will air on Rev Al’s show Sunday morning. I’ll be setting my DVR
Me, too!
LIVE NOW: Beyoncé and Jay Z campaign for Hillary.

I have said this so many times, now POTUS said it tonight, if he had said the things Trump said, or done, these same Republicans and the media would have said he is not qualified to be President of these United States. These Trump supporters who have no problem with what Trump have said, would be having a dam fit if Obama said anything like that.
He would not have made it past the first round of primaries!
My problem would be the trump sticker – not the announcement. I would not want a Trump supporter as my pilot – anywhere, anytime.
LMAO …..
Trump is so childish and jealous.
And .. He just keeps insulting his VP nominee – guess the latter is part of the nothing.
More good news, record final day of early voting in NV. New record.
I look forward to Jon Ralston’s report everyday. He has been really helpful in keeping us informed.
Yay. I’ll take a landslide, please. (Please!)
Sorry.
I’m with you on that one Bill – a delight to be here. So wonderful of NW to help when Ms Chips not able to be here
Thank you, friends, for that confirmation of my own feelings.
I also agree. TOD is my refuge. The place I go to to avoid a heart attack or insanity. I’ve noticed that too!
it is so amusing to see read all the rightwingers complaining about the GOTV concert for HRC in Cleveland tonight.
I am just two hours away but I could not go tonight … now I wish I could have gone but I have work to do here for the GOTV;
I notice that all of these expert pollsters are questioning each other’s methods and predictions.
Their nominee said it all – they got nothing and no-one. Can’t even play a song without the writer/singer complaining.
OK, “S” just got real! My town of 2800 has a kick-ass team; we turn out our BLUE vote, and are actually door knocking in the surrounding RED towns. In recognition, on Sunday, Chelsea will be door knocking with my team!
No, I won’t be there… 😦
You’ll be there in spirit!
Just what I emailed my team…
I’m Irish. I read minds. 🙂
Sheldon Adelson paper lying about when the polls change – voter suppression – Nevada going very blue
ahhh – change should be CLOSE
What’s wrong with that joker???
Hay Donald Trump, sorry no one want to be seen with your disgusting self.
Might be that he wants to be one of the big guys. And since he can’t be, he mocks them. Sounds more like he’s been night-drinking.
Consider the dorky source.
He wouldn’t want anyone to out-headline him anyway.
This was a good segment! 🙂
Update from NV. Moving on 50k registered today. Building the Dem Clark Country firewall lead for election day, close to 70K advantage..
HEE HAW!!!!
You can tell Jon Ralston is happy that so many are voting. So refreshing to see in a journalist.
YES! You can feel the excitement in his tweets. He’s thrilled that Nevada really matters.
He is definitely one of the good ones. Does he still work for MSNBC?
I thought he was a GOP supporter who joined #nevertrump – but he has always reported honestly on what is happening in Nevada
OMG!! Paging Jan Brewer!!
You mean the “Latinos don’t vote” Brewer????? LOL!
BWWAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!
Karma’s gonna bite that bitch:) Love the sight of this!
This is wild….
This is why the GOP want to cut early voting, polling places, and put other restrictions on voting. Black and Brown people show up and show out to vote when given the opportunity. Thank you, NV for showing what an election process should look like.
Can you imagine the lines if there were only the one day to vote? Early voting is a necessity to have an effective democratic process.
This video shouting down one of the Trump kids kills it. Go girls!
Voters of the future!!! Beware Republicans.
At Trump rallies they want to hang the reporters, and Trump eggs them on. That is why if Melania want to do anything about bulling she better start at her house with her husband.

Jacqueline my response was more to O’Donnell’s tweet. I am happy that you set him straight. 🙂 Yep, it’s all good.
You handled him. My response was for Tim’s tweet and for other similar observations that I have heard about the A-A vote.
Understand – and you made sense and managed to be gracious at the same time. Works for me!
I dislike the divisive quality of blaming and crediting groups of people for political wins or losses. I like The Stronger Together meme. Exactly right, CEB.
YES WE CAN!!!!
Recognized his voice right away. ❤️him!
That ad brought tears to my eyes! Beautiful.
Me too! Sexy Jimmy!
LOLz!!
Maybe some also just turned 18?
And maybe others were specially motivated to vote this year.
Big time!
😉 😉 😉
Love these tweets. Karma is a b****.
Jon Ralston is trolling Trump and rubbing his face in the karma of his own hate.
Goodnight TOD 🙂
#ALL50
Oh, I love horses! How sweet is that!
55k and counting in NV in Clark County, record numbers.
The urgency of now!
Good; I am not here by myself. Girl, you rock!
Ha!!!!!!!!! You, too!
Dancing, clapping and cheering all by myself. Woo-Hoo! Clark County is showing up and showing out!!

Bravo to our outstanding President.
Obama is consistent in respecting dissenters. I have not seen any other candidate or politician in my lifetime express this level of willingness to put down others’ rebellious actions towards dissenters, not even Hillary.
Obama walks his talk.
Love him for it!
Haven’t read the story yet, but as a woman in her age bracket, this intro really got me. Good for her.
And having found this, ladies and gentlemen of TODville, is why I’m glad I’m still awake (but off to dreamland now!):
Good night, JO and to any lurkers who are still awake in the village.
Off to listen to what should be one of the anthems of the past year and this election: Beyoncé’s “Freedom” featuring Kendrick Lamar, then off to bed. I hope to be celebrating with you here late in the hours of 11/8-9 if/when our hopes and dreams come true.
Let’s say “when” our hopes and dreams come true! 🙂 (Just seeing this.)
Couldn’t happen to a worse guy (Halperin!). Yay!
No more of this election’s version of “Good news for McCain” from Halpern, the dick. Yes, I said it. Will not forget that he referred to PBO as one on national television.
Okay, really signing off this time. Good night, all.
It’s ALWAYS projection with republicans – one of the biggest dicks of all is Halperin
I’ll never forget that either! Ugh. (Just seeing this to reply!)
I gather a large part of the early vote in Nevada is Hispanic voters – hopefully that will translate well into Arizona & Texas
GE 99ts.

Wonderful!
We are the Wall!

POTUS is not playing.
Good, I hope they get knee deep in Russia’s ass.

GM TODville.
I have faith in sane Americans to keep the (true) orange menace and his deplorable supporters at bay.
gm Dudette – seems the GOP GOTV plan is working well for the democrats
It’s elementary, my dear, the Blue Wave is coming! 😄
New post.
